Summary

“I do not know how to love you and be a good king to my people。”

From jewelry thief to interloper to queen-in-waiting, Romeria flees Cirilea a traitor to all。 But the yawning distance between her and Zander troubles her more than any king’s bounty on her head。 While Zander may have escaped by her side, he seeks to regain his throne, and no immortal will ever welcome her as Islor’s queen。 She fears it won’t be long before Zander abandons her as everyone else she’s ever loved has。

Zander sacrificed his crown to save Romeria’s life, yet he dreads what her existence means for the future of his realm。 As Ybaris’s plan to destroy Islor unfurls, a more insidious threat, orchestrated by rival fates, lurks beneath the surface。 He can offer his allies no honest explanation for why he protects the Ybarisan princess and takes counsel from Queen Neilina’s caster, leading those closest to doubt his wisdom—and his allegiance。

As their company aims for the Venhorn Mountains, steered by prophecy, Romeria is desperate to wield her newfound abilities to undo Princess Romeria’s treachery before the kingdom tears itself apart。 But with the mortal rebellion swelling, bolstered by the gift of Ybaris’s poison, it may already be too late。

From internationally bestselling author K。A。 Tucker comes the second novel in her Fate and Flame series, an adult fantasy story that should be read in series order。

expected a little moreI was excited when Romy and Zander were at odds, since I felt any sort of reunion would be well-earned。 I was disappointed that she basically rolled over with what I view as a weak apology from Zander。 Where was his regret for what he put her through- this time very much on purpose? Zander has gone through a lot in his relationships and his suspicion of romantic intentions is justified--no matter how much I just want them to kiss and live happily ever after already。 But their journey isn't over, far from it in fact, and I look forward to seeing how the rest of this series progresses。As I've mentioned previously in my review of book one, A Fate of Wrath and Flame, the world building in this series is complex and intricate, but easy to follow for readers like myself who may not read much fantasy usually。Overall, another great read by KA Tucker。 I would recommend this series to both seasoned and new fantasy romance readers, anyone who enjoys KA Tucker, and any readers wishing to try something new。 That being said, definitely start with book one as it is a continuing series and not standalones。Disclaimer: I received an arc。 。。。more

This book。 I am loving this world and characters! I am so enthralled in this story I cannot wait to see where KA takes it。 There were times when I had to stop reading and prepare myself for what was to come。 I adore Zander and Romeria’s relationship but there is so much to this book besides being a romance。 I am so blown away and counting the days until book 3!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This series has completely surprised me in how much I actually love it! The world is super unique but more than that are the characters。 I love how defined Romerias character is and how it was not overdone but instead it was smoothed out。 I really loved her working to convince the others to like her and I finally felt some justice at her situation。 It was frustrating that no one liked her even though it wasn’t her fault! A Curse of Blood and Stone gave us a compelling start to the second book in the Fate and Flames series and picks up where book one left off。 Romy and Zander had such an intense connection and the tension between them had me rooting for them。 The story was action packed and fast paced with excellent world building, drama, suspense, awesome secondary characters and will have you frantically turning the pages to know more, as every part of this story was fascinating。 It was a well written highly en A Curse of Blood and Stone gave us a compelling start to the second book in the Fate and Flames series and picks up where book one left off。 Romy and Zander had such an intense connection and the tension between them had me rooting for them。 The story was action packed and fast paced with excellent world building, drama, suspense, awesome secondary characters and will have you frantically turning the pages to know more, as every part of this story was fascinating。 It was a well written highly entertaining read with a mini cliff hanger ending that has me excited for book 3。 I loved it and would highly recommend this novel to lovers of fantasy romance。 。。。more

A Curse of Blood and Stone is book 2 of Fate & Flame series。 You will need to read Fate of Wrath & Flame first to know what is going on … trust me it is not a hardship。 I don’t usually read fantasy type books, but this series is actually pretty phenomenal and addicting。 Romeria’s former life and identify is now known to King Zander。 Romeria, Zander and the legionaries are fleeing to another city since Zander’ brother overtook Islor。 Zander is now at a crossroad – he is in love with Romeria, but A Curse of Blood and Stone is book 2 of Fate & Flame series。 You will need to read Fate of Wrath & Flame first to know what is going on … trust me it is not a hardship。 I don’t usually read fantasy type books, but this series is actually pretty phenomenal and addicting。 Romeria’s former life and identify is now known to King Zander。 Romeria, Zander and the legionaries are fleeing to another city since Zander’ brother overtook Islor。 Zander is now at a crossroad – he is in love with Romeria, but his duty is to his people。 Zander must do what is best for his kingdom even if that hurts Romeria and himself in the process。 Zander must keep Romeria alive to use her power and affinities in order to win back his kingdom。 Easy said than done, right? They are both struggling because the heart wants what it wants … Second book continue with plenty of actions, drama, magic, suspense and it kept me captivated from the beginning until the end。 Once I started it was impossible to put it down。 You will want to know what happens next knowing there is no ending in-sight 😊 Mini cliffhanger at the end – kind of like the end of a chapter but there much more to come。 I really need book 3 like right now!I honestly amazed with this author’s imaginative mind。 I mean I don’t know how she comes up with this kind of storyline – it’s like she came from another world herself 😊 。。。more

Thankfully this picks up exactly where A Fate of Wrath and Flame ended and while I had no idea where this story was going to go at the end of book 1, I loved where Tucker took this story。 Immediately we are immersed in the action and the tension between Romy and Zander was palpable。 I absolutely adore Romy as a main character, she's so tough and resilient and rolls with every single punch that's thrown her way but her inner monologue shows her vulnerability and how much she feels for Zander。 And Thankfully this picks up exactly where A Fate of Wrath and Flame ended and while I had no idea where this story was going to go at the end of book 1, I loved where Tucker took this story。 Immediately we are immersed in the action and the tension between Romy and Zander was palpable。 I absolutely adore Romy as a main character, she's so tough and resilient and rolls with every single punch that's thrown her way but her inner monologue shows her vulnerability and how much she feels for Zander。 And having Zander's POV in this one was just exquisite。 The tension and angst between the two of them was just perfect。As always, in all her stories, Tucker finds the perfect balance between story and character。 I absolutely love the romance between Romy and Zander but what kept me immersed was this fascinating world Tucker has created。I would say it's worth doing a reread of book 1 if it's been a hot minute since you've read it。 I didn't (because I totally ran out of time) and while I managed to remember *most* things, I know there were some details that went a little over my head。 However it didn't stop me loving every second of it。 I'm so glad there's still more to come in this story because I really can't get enough of these characters。 I loved the introduction of some new secondary characters in this one and can't wait to see where this story goes。 。。。more

This books picks up where we left off with Xander & Romy and things have become rocky for these two。 As they continue their journey across the lands, they are forced to face some truths and discover more about how they got there。 There is still a lot of tension in this book, but the MCs seem to be willing to start trusting each other again, especially as Romy comes into her power more and more。 I liked how this book explored new and secondary characters a little more。 The different settings they This books picks up where we left off with Xander & Romy and things have become rocky for these two。 As they continue their journey across the lands, they are forced to face some truths and discover more about how they got there。 There is still a lot of tension in this book, but the MCs seem to be willing to start trusting each other again, especially as Romy comes into her power more and more。 I liked how this book explored new and secondary characters a little more。 The different settings they all travel though and the people they meet are thoroughly thought out and solid。 As a reader, I felt like I was on the road with them all, traveling along and discovering the good and bad that is happening around them。 。。。more
