I don't really know where to start with this book！ It was amazing， laugh out loud， non stop over the top fun and just what I needed in my life！ Teague is a Bachelor in a small town just trying to raise his daughter and help the town thrive。 He lives in a tree house and has the best relationship with his ex-wife。 In walks the Lightlys， a dysfunctional family of wealth who's Matriarch is convinced they need to find their souls so they can get in to Heaven when the time comes。 Phoebe does the work I don't really know where to start with this book！ It was amazing， laugh out loud， non stop over the top fun and just what I needed in my life！ Teague is a Bachelor in a small town just trying to raise his daughter and help the town thrive。 He lives in a tree house and has the best relationship with his ex-wife。 In walks the Lightlys， a dysfunctional family of wealth who's Matriarch is convinced they need to find their souls so they can get in to Heaven when the time comes。 Phoebe does the work her Grandmother asks of her， all the while letting NY Society run her through the ringer without her around to voice her side of it。 The games， teases， and all around hijinks in this book are so funny， that you will wish you could move to Tickled Pink yourself！ 。。。more

Tickled Pink is surely a special type of Hell， well at least it sure feels that way for Phoebe Lightly。 After her grandmother and head of the Lightly family had a near death experience something chanced prompting Estelle’s mission to make sure that she and her family clear their bad karma so that they are can eventually go to Heaven。 Which is how Phoebe comes face to face with a whole lot of lake， while trying to talk hot fishing lumberjack Teague Miller out of selling her grandmother the old ru Tickled Pink is surely a special type of Hell， well at least it sure feels that way for Phoebe Lightly。 After her grandmother and head of the Lightly family had a near death experience something chanced prompting Estelle’s mission to make sure that she and her family clear their bad karma so that they are can eventually go to Heaven。 Which is how Phoebe comes face to face with a whole lot of lake， while trying to talk hot fishing lumberjack Teague Miller out of selling her grandmother the old rundown school building that is now home to the Lightlys… well it would seem that even sticking up a deal with Teague means that Phoebe has to put in the work to find a way of of this small town… but what happens when she starts to actually like Tickled Pink， all its residents and most importantly Teague Miller himself？。。I can easily say that this was the BEST book that I have read all year！ I loved every moment of this hilariously cute Schitts Creek type romcom with all the wacky towns people and the snobby Lightlys。 I just love the whole grump meets sunshine trope and add in the fact that its a big city girl falling for the small town hero and I was totally sold！。。Phoebe was the best leading lady ever！ I loved that she was so real and had a sense of relatability to her and I just loved that she out in the work to bettering herself， so much so that she soon realised that she didn’t like the person that she had been all her life。 I just loved getting to see her grow as a person but also grow her relationships with her family and really find herself。 I loved getting to see her finally bond with Tavi and Carter。 But most of all I loved getting to see her relationship with Teague and his family bloom。。。Teague was an interest one， for all intents he looked like he had his life together but boy did he have skeletons of his own that only came tumbling out thanks to the Lightlys being in town。 I really liked getting to see a bit of his back story and how similar it was to that of Phoebe。 I loved the connection that these two formed and that their insta dislike morphed into such a hot connection， I loved that they formed this support for each other without even realising it。。。The secondary characters were top notch！ I just loved all the sass and power that came from Bridget and that she had such a unique story of her own but rocked her truths！ As for the rest of the residents of TP well they were just hilarious and I can not wait to get more of them and their rivalry with Deer Drop。 Now the Lightlys well it took a bit to warm up to this bunch but gosh it was hard to hate them， I loved that Gigi put them through so much but didn’t follow herself and that Tavi and Carter kind of found their way while being in town。 We definitely need their books soon！！。。The One Who Loves You is a total must read， this book checks all the boxes and then some！ 。。。more

It might be the best book by this author that I’ve read。 It definitely has her unique touch， but the usual ingredients combined so well that the end result has the most amazing flavor。One of the author’s trademarks is her quirky characters。 I don’t think there was even one remotely boring character this time。 The Lightlys are their own brand of crazy， from Gigi to Carter–all of them so detached from reality that they can’t understand the small town life–and the people from Tickled Pink are all u It might be the best book by this author that I’ve read。 It definitely has her unique touch， but the usual ingredients combined so well that the end result has the most amazing flavor。One of the author’s trademarks is her quirky characters。 I don’t think there was even one remotely boring character this time。 The Lightlys are their own brand of crazy， from Gigi to Carter–all of them so detached from reality that they can’t understand the small town life–and the people from Tickled Pink are all unique in some way。 Even Teague， maybe the most normal of the lot， has a sass and sense of humor that keeps him apart。I really enjoyed him as a character。 Beyond the wit and the extreme grumpiness， he has a huge heart and lots of love for the people who surround him。 He just loves his peace and quiet more–and for legitimate reasons。 I guessed early what his big secret was， though not all the details， and that made him even more interesting。As for his love interest， and the main character of the book–as her arc is at the center of the story–Phoebe is weirdly relatable。 Not that any of us readers is a rich socialite thrown in a small town and forced to adapt， of course。 But as a woman who’s wondering who she is， and trying to separate nature and nurture， she’s somewhat of an example。 Her journey touched me like I hadn’t been by a book in a while。Another trademark is the humor。 This book was hilarious。 It came from the situations–for instance， rich spoiled people forced to do menial tasks that they have no idea how to do–but not only。 The dialogues， full of sass and banter， caused some laughs too， as did the quirky characters。 And the humor works even better surrounded by deep emotions。As the introduction to a new series， of course this book had a lot of subplots that’ll be explored in the following books。 It worked well because it gave a purpose to the side characters beyond helping or preventing the romance between Phoebe and Teague。I noticed something that doesn’t happen a lot。 In lots of stories， the characters’ voices are just some variation of the author’s voice。 Here， each of the main characters had their own voice。 The vocabulary， the grammar， the references… They weren’t the same between Phoebe and Teague， for instance。And I have no doubt that it’s one of the reasons I became so attached to them。 They felt real， and I just wanted to see their happy ending。 And it was a good one！Quickie- Series: Tickled Pink #1 （can be read as a standalone）- Hashtags: #romcom #enemies to lovers #opposites attract #secret relationship- Triggers: some psychological abuse I suppose- Main couple: Phoebe Lightly & Teague Miller- Hotness: 3/5- Romance: 4/5- + how Bridget’s identity is treated- – I wish a painful death on Gigi 。。。more

This was such an entertaining read。 At first I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it。 But the further I got into it the more I enjoyed it。 The socialite family the Lightlys have been sent to a small town by their grandmother （because of a near death experience she had） to become better people。 And it’s hilarious。 The banter between Phoebe and Teague is so funny， and their chemistry is strong。 Definitely an entertaining read！

The One Who Loves You begins a new series with a fish out of water trope， where a rich NYC socialite finds herself stuck in a small town with the real folks。 I generally like Pippa Grant's work， having previously read over 15 books from her， across several different series。 She is a successful writer of comedic， contemporary romance and her books are easy to get into。 In the past， I've loved some of her stories that hit the right balance of funny/sexy for me， but also found others too ridiculous The One Who Loves You begins a new series with a fish out of water trope， where a rich NYC socialite finds herself stuck in a small town with the real folks。 I generally like Pippa Grant's work， having previously read over 15 books from her， across several different series。 She is a successful writer of comedic， contemporary romance and her books are easy to get into。 In the past， I've loved some of her stories that hit the right balance of funny/sexy for me， but also found others too ridiculously silly for my liking。 This book was not as silly as some， but definitely ridiculous， plot-wise。 I liked the locals in the town， and especially the supporting character Bridget。 I never grew to like the main character Phoebe or any of her family， and wasn't able to connect with her redemption journey。 I found the hero， Teague， under-developed and a little dull。 His interesting bits came too late in the story。 A lot of excessive character personal thoughts slowed down the flow of the narrative， sometimes pages and pages of it， in the midst of dialogue scenes。 The story doesn't really go anywhere， several plot threads are started and dropped， and while there were parts I enjoyed， it didn't add up to a meaningful whole。 I also have to mention the cover -and I realize that is a publisher choice and not necessarily an author choice - but come on， this guy on the cover doesn't match up， description wise or especially age wise， for the hero。 Distracts and detracts。The One Who Loves You was not a favorite for me from Pippa Grant， but I will continue to read her in the future。Thank you to Montlake via Netgalley for the ARC。 All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own。 。。。more
