Summary

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 "I am made of memories。""Speak then。"I've read this book once before， a few years ago， but I have since entered a relationship and I wanted my boyfriend to experience the beauty of this book。 The way Miller writes is beautiful and captures moments so tender， so private， that one can't help but feel as if they're there， a fly on the wall （or cave or tent）。 But where the true magic lies are the memories。 When Achilles begins to break and Patroclus remembers them as boys。 When Patroclus thinks back "I am made of memories。""Speak then。"I've read this book once before， a few years ago， but I have since entered a relationship and I wanted my boyfriend to experience the beauty of this book。 The way Miller writes is beautiful and captures moments so tender， so private， that one can't help but feel as if they're there， a fly on the wall （or cave or tent）。 But where the true magic lies are the memories。 When Achilles begins to break and Patroclus remembers them as boys。 When Patroclus thinks back to the before--when they were children in a cave。 When， of course， he is recounting their tales for Thetis。 They tugged so gently on my heart and nostalgia that I couldn't help but weep。 I could barely make it through the final chapter of the book as tears spilled out of my eyes， but I pressed on， and I'm glad that I was able to make it。 I will be able to come back to this book time and time again for years to come， I'm sure。 。。。more

I loved this book， however I think it was hyped up too much as a book that will make you cry your heart out， personally that wasn’t the case for me- at one point my eyes were watery。It’s a beautifully written retelling of Greek mythology with a twist of mlm ， overall I recommend this book

I liked this book but I might had some high expectations from the start which leads me to not enjoying it as much as I thought I would。 I had difficulties to connect with the two main characters。 But the end is beautifully written and I still am happy that I read it。
