I have never been more disappointed by a sequel This novel is literally 98% filler， it is at best 2-3 chapters stretched into a book in order to steal as much kindLe unlimited money as possible， up there with the worst KU cash grabs I’ve seen。 The climax is literally him fighting “unknown pirate”。。 gains nothing of any worth and only just leaves the void at the last page。Looking past the filler nature and on to what was there。 The MC actually regressed， every situation that got tough he capitula I have never been more disappointed by a sequel This novel is literally 98% filler， it is at best 2-3 chapters stretched into a book in order to steal as much kindLe unlimited money as possible， up there with the worst KU cash grabs I’ve seen。 The climax is literally him fighting “unknown pirate”。。 gains nothing of any worth and only just leaves the void at the last page。Looking past the filler nature and on to what was there。 The MC actually regressed， every situation that got tough he capitulated and backed down completely opposite so what was shown in the first book。 It actually made me mad to read his actions in this one。 If this is what we can expect from this authors future works， I’ll personally never read another of his novels。I wouldn’t be surprised is Amazon bans this for blatant word fill for money。 It only gets 2 stars because I just read book 1 and still remember how good that one was， may drop it to 1 Latter。 。。。more

I really liked this book， it was a really good addition to the series and I can't wait for book 3。I listened to the audio version so we'll be talking about the narration。Travis baldree does good as always， he always does good。 There's really not word for how good he is， Travis is a top tier narrator， and he fits this book perfectly。When we talk about characters， I like them just as much as the last book。 I began to like the fire mage more and I felt a connection with the other characters as well I really liked this book， it was a really good addition to the series and I can't wait for book 3。I listened to the audio version so we'll be talking about the narration。Travis baldree does good as always， he always does good。 There's really not word for how good he is， Travis is a top tier narrator， and he fits this book perfectly。When we talk about characters， I like them just as much as the last book。 I began to like the fire mage more and I felt a connection with the other characters as well， I also started to like the mc and his pet way more。 The other characters brought to the story were also written very well。 I also like the progression， I feel like there could've been more， but it's still good。 The reason I say it could've been better is， For 1， I feel his power is scattered I really don't know if he's strong or anything， it just feels scattered， the next reason is， he progressed but not really， like he progressed but I feel it could've been more。 Especially with all the skill progression in the first book。I don't really know Felix's goal or what he want to do， but I feel this book was kinda filler， I just think he spent alot of time in the void and then when he leaves the book ends。 Like I said I can't really say it's filler， I just think more could've happened。 I also don't know what was happening with the povs， I didn't mind them， I just want to know what's gonna happen。 Is he gonna meet the other people again？ Or is he gonna stay on his own for a while？ If it's the ladder than i feel all the other povs were unnecessary。The plot was good， I really liked it， I think that the plot progressed but it's better to say that the plot is better than the storyline， he was in the void for the entire book and i just can't say I think the story progressed like I wanted it too。 That being said i still do think this is a good book。I also like the world building， it was good in the first book and it's even better now。I also like the fighting， it's awesome， I love listening to him get stronger and beat his enemies to a pulp， this book is action packed and I loved every bit of it。Conclusion。The characters are good， I felt a better connection with them than I felt in the first book。 I feel like he progressed in this book， and I liked how he progressed I just think there could've been more for how much he fought。I liked the plot， but I feel the storyline could've progressed more。 The reason I said I feel this is filler is， I just feel the story could've progressed more， I do think that alot happened in the void， I just feel more could've happened。So over all I rate this book a 5 star。 I think book 3 will be better than book 2， and I think book 2 was better than book 1。 。。。more
