a wedding and a few murdersBlack Rock Falls has been quiet for a while…no serial killers on the horizon so it’s time for Jenna and Dave’s wedding！！！ Of course， that jinxed it…now Jenna， Dave and the team must solve some gruesome murders。 We finally find out whatever happened to the new maneater deputy， Poppy…and it’s a doozy！ Another great story in the series。

Kiss Her Goodnight is the fifteenth book in the police procedural series featuring Detectives David Kane and Jenna Alton。 I picked up this series with Whisper in the Night （book 6） and I also thoroughly enjoyed books seven through to fourteen。So I'm back in Black Rock Falls， Montana， with Sheriff Jenna Alton who makes a very likeable detective。 Jenna has a good team to handle crime in the small town， which has certainly seen more than its fair share of murders！ Her husband， and deputy， David Kan Kiss Her Goodnight is the fifteenth book in the police procedural series featuring Detectives David Kane and Jenna Alton。 I picked up this series with Whisper in the Night （book 6） and I also thoroughly enjoyed books seven through to fourteen。So I'm back in Black Rock Falls， Montana， with Sheriff Jenna Alton who makes a very likeable detective。 Jenna has a good team to handle crime in the small town， which has certainly seen more than its fair share of murders！ Her husband， and deputy， David Kane is a former Special Forces marksman with exceptional profiling skills。 In this instalment， homewrecker Poppy Anderson plays a pivotal role which was unexpected。 With Dave and Jenna's wedding and a hurricane to contend this was fast-paced， well balanced， electrifying and gritty just as I knew it would be。 It had me glued to the pages and I didn't want to put it down as I was desperate to know the outcome of the story。 The tension snowballed as D。K。 Hood lobbed in some captivating misdirection。 The writing flowed effortlessly in a story rich in drama。 I will be seeking out the first five instalments of this masterful series。 A brilliant， compelling， pulse-pounding and very highly recommended crime-thriller。I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley。 This review is my own unbiased opinion。 。。。more

Oh wow， back in Black Rock Falls and it’s， once again， amazing to follow this great duo Jenna and Dave。 Of course they could not discover the baddies on their own and they have their wonderful team to depend up on。It has been quiet in the small town， but it never stays that way for a very long time。 It’s a paradise for killers or I might even say serial killers and nobody is happy when a victim turns up， but this culprit has a very bad timing。 Well， bad in Jenna’s schedule anyway。 She had someth Oh wow， back in Black Rock Falls and it’s， once again， amazing to follow this great duo Jenna and Dave。 Of course they could not discover the baddies on their own and they have their wonderful team to depend up on。It has been quiet in the small town， but it never stays that way for a very long time。 It’s a paradise for killers or I might even say serial killers and nobody is happy when a victim turns up， but this culprit has a very bad timing。 Well， bad in Jenna’s schedule anyway。 She had something totally different planned。 Will she go through with it and leave the case in her team’s capable hands or will she decide otherwise？The killer however does not seem to show any signs of stopping what he is doing and he leaves the police force with more questions than answers。 Even with the help of FBI agents Carter and Jo they still struggle to come any closer until suddenly there is a breakthrough and it’s all hands on deck。Time is crucial， as always…Jenna is not easily scared and with Dave having her back， she is capable of doing things she might not have done without him。 She counts and relies on him， but she does not want to him to be overprotective。 She wants to show him she can be her own person too。This time it’s not only a vicious killer who is life threatening…Another fantastic story with bone chilling bits， but with room for love and happiness too。 5 starsThank you 。。。more

Once again we are treated to a fast paced thrilling read that had me hooked from the very first page。After 15 books I feel like these characters are friends to catch up with。 A cracking page turner with some omg moments that will keep you reading late into the night。I loved it and already looking forward to Book 16。

I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of Kiss Her Goodnight， the fifteenth novel to feature Sheriff Jenna Alton and Deputy Dave Kane of Black Rock Falls， Montana Sheriff’s Office。When the body of a young woman， tortured and murdered， is found the quiet spell in Black Rock Falls is over。 Two more unidentified bodies confirm that， once again， a serial killer is active in the town， but with no forensics and no identifications the going will be tough。 Fortunately for the I would like to thank Netgalley and Bookouture for an advance copy of Kiss Her Goodnight， the fifteenth novel to feature Sheriff Jenna Alton and Deputy Dave Kane of Black Rock Falls， Montana Sheriff’s Office。When the body of a young woman， tortured and murdered， is found the quiet spell in Black Rock Falls is over。 Two more unidentified bodies confirm that， once again， a serial killer is active in the town， but with no forensics and no identifications the going will be tough。 Fortunately for them the third body provides a message that gets them moving。I enjoyed Kiss Her Goodnight， which offers the series reader a sense of familiarity and solid ground， without losing the tension and excitement of a good read。 It is fairly standard fare with a twisted killer hunting young women while Jenna and her team hunt him down。 Obviously， there are twists in this tale and a well disguised perpetrator to maintain the interest， but the basic premise holds。The novel is told from various points of view， namely the investigative team， the unnamed perpetrator and some of his victims。 It gives the reader a wider perspective on events， but it will require a strong stomach as there is a fair amount of cruelty involved。 On the subject of anatomy it will also require a strong throat to swallow some of the serendipitous events that move the plot forward。 Yes， they are highly unlikely， but so what？ The novel is entertaining and the forward momentum they provide adds to that entertainment。Jenna and Dave get married at the start of this novel， so that puts the will they， won’t they scenario to bed， but the author has inserted a small bomb into this new reality that may offer fireworks in future novels。 The first night of their honeymoon is a cracker， offering tension， excitement and danger。 I loved it as so typical of Jenna and Dave。 It makes up for the relatively low key denouement。Kiss Her Goodnight is a good read that I can recommend。 。。。more

Back to Black Rock Falls， the home of serial killers！ Book 15 in the Kane and Alton tale finds them married at last。 We have the usual fast paced， well plotted and filled with suspense from DK Hood。 The author never fails to deliver， with excellent character development and an interesting plot。 Another 5* read which has everything you need in a detective thriller。 Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC。

This is Book #15 in this incredible series。 Another roller coaster of a ride。 What is more terrifying than being in serial killer central （Black Rock Falls）？ Maybe being caught in a hurricane！ This killer carves numbers in his victim’s bodies and displays them around town。 Some very tense moments in this book。 Thanks to NetGalley， Bookoutre and the Author for allowing me to read and review this book。 Bring on #16。
