His training began with his selection for Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S)—the toughest and longest military training in the world。 After graduating, Wasdin saw combat in Operation Desert Storm as a member of SEAL Team Two。 But he was driven to be the best of the best—he wanted to join the legendary SEAL Team Six, and at long last he reached his goal and became one of the best snipers on the planet。 Soon he was fighting for his life in The Battle of Mogadishu。 This is Howard Wasdin's story of overcoming abuse and beating the odds to become an elite American warrior。

Throughout high school my time to enjoy and read books for my pleasure has gone away because generally we don’t get to pick our books。 Reading “ I am a seal team six warrior” was a nice path back to reading books I enjoy。 I’ve always enjoyed books about war and true stories war, but have never read a memoir until now。 This memoir I’d recommend to anyone who loves true stories about war from a first person prospective。The book is split up into 3 major sections。 Part 1,2, and 3。 In part 1 he talks Throughout high school my time to enjoy and read books for my pleasure has gone away because generally we don’t get to pick our books。 Reading “ I am a seal team six warrior” was a nice path back to reading books I enjoy。 I’ve always enjoyed books about war and true stories war, but have never read a memoir until now。 This memoir I’d recommend to anyone who loves true stories about war from a first person prospective。The book is split up into 3 major sections。 Part 1,2, and 3。 In part 1 he talks about his early childhood, Howard E。 Wasdin grew up very poor having a mom that was young at the time of his birth and his dad abused him。 As he grew up, being beaten on a regular schedule made him stronger both physically and mentally。 When he was finally old enough to move out a army poster caught his eye, and as he started to enlist he heard about the navy seals, the most dangerous and toll taking branch of the military。 Howard was very motivated by his past and wanted to succeed in something to get a sense of accomplishment。Part 2 is one of the more interesting sections to read。 In part 2, Howard Changes narrative structure and uses chunks from his war logs/ diaries。 To me it makes the book more engaging and enjoyable to read because your reading about what he thought in the moment, at the science instead of what he remembers about the situations from memory。In part 3 he finishes off his stories from memory, which to me was the least interesting part of the book。 I feel as if he could have continued chunks of his diaries in part 3 to make the reader more engaged instead of flip flopping between narrative structures and different writing styles which makes the book very hard to follow 。 I found myself lost at times trying to figure out where he left off in each section。All in all its a great book and I’d recommend it to anyone that likes true war stories。 Don’t read this book if you get lost easily, each section picks up in a different spot and has a different narrative structure。 To me I still found this book very engaging and grabbing my attention throughout the whole book。 。。。more

I thought this book was interesting, but I was not a fan of the writing style。 The information was great but I did not like how it was presented。 I also did not expect or like how dependence on God was thrown in (forcefully) at the end。 It seemed rushed。

This book was actually my first experience dipping my feet into the realm of biography novels。 I am happy however that this was my first book in the genre。 This book gave me a rush of emotions as I experienced Howard's roller coaster of a life。 As he goes through life he always experiences some sort of adversity in his path。 Though some are mountains he is still able to overcome them and inspire me to do the same。 Because of this I would recommend this book to anyone above the age of 12 who woul This book was actually my first experience dipping my feet into the realm of biography novels。 I am happy however that this was my first book in the genre。 This book gave me a rush of emotions as I experienced Howard's roller coaster of a life。 As he goes through life he always experiences some sort of adversity in his path。 Though some are mountains he is still able to overcome them and inspire me to do the same。 Because of this I would recommend this book to anyone above the age of 12 who would enjoy a deep and engaging read。 。。。more

“The book I am a Seal Team Six Warrior” is a book about how this young boy went from being beaten by his step dad to being part of the famous marine team called seal team six。 I read this book because I just went to the wall my teacher had and picked it and started reading it and it turned out it actually was a really good book。 The author talks about the tactics, training, and execution it takes to be part of seal team six。 He also talks about anything in his life from his abuse in the early st “The book I am a Seal Team Six Warrior” is a book about how this young boy went from being beaten by his step dad to being part of the famous marine team called seal team six。 I read this book because I just went to the wall my teacher had and picked it and started reading it and it turned out it actually was a really good book。 The author talks about the tactics, training, and execution it takes to be part of seal team six。 He also talks about anything in his life from his abuse in the early stages of his life to what he did after retirement。In the beginning of the book he talks about his abuse as a child which is really sad in my opinion because his step dad would walk into his house when he was 4 and his stepdad would be drunk and just beat him for no reason。 This lasted up until he was 6 or 7。 Then he goes in towards his training starting with JROTC in middle school which all started it for him。 While in middle school he would also go and pick watermelons with his dad。 Then he got into the academy and started training。 When he made it to BUD/S which to him was the hardest training he ever did。 It was so bad at one point he had to get another trainee to pee on his hand because he was so cold。 Then he did everything and worked hard and got into the Seal Team Six。 。。。more

This is one of my favorite books I have read in awhile。 The author gave many details that kept me engaged in the book。 Some days I did not feel like reading it, but after I read a page I was hooked for 20-30 mins。 The book I Am A SEAL Team Six Warrior by Howard Wasdin, was about a navy seal and his adventure in the military。 The book gave many frights and many good instances。 Howard is constantly in a fight with either the enemies or himself。 I would recommend this book to anyone that is an Amer This is one of my favorite books I have read in awhile。 The author gave many details that kept me engaged in the book。 Some days I did not feel like reading it, but after I read a page I was hooked for 20-30 mins。 The book I Am A SEAL Team Six Warrior by Howard Wasdin, was about a navy seal and his adventure in the military。 The book gave many frights and many good instances。 Howard is constantly in a fight with either the enemies or himself。 I would recommend this book to anyone that is an American at heart。 It shows what our servicemen and women go through on a daily basis。 It is truly inspiring to know that they do this not for the glory, but to protect this great country and the people living within its boundaries。 。。。more

This book was outstanding! I though it was very descriptive of Howard's experience in the army。 It showed how hard he was willing to work to be in the SEALS which was inspiring。 Some of the tasks he had to do to to get into the SEALS seemed fake because of how challenging it sounded。 I was glad that I read this book because it showed that anything is possible if you put your mind to it。 Also, it had a lot of action that made me want to keep reading。 I liked the ending of the memoir because it sh This book was outstanding! This was a very interesting and high action book。 I really enjoyed the stories that he told about his training and about his stories in battle。 The book kept me hooked the entire time and was the first book I have actually really enjoyed reading in a long time。 His stories of battle were so interesting that I sometimes had a hard time putting the book down。 Really good book I would recommend it to anybody。

I think this was a fantastic book。 This book really went in depth about what it takes to be Navy Seal and all of the experiences that you go through as a Seal。 I loved the fact that it was written as memoir by an actual navy Seal because it allows for the author to make personal connections with the story so the reader can better understand it。

I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior is a non-fictional book about the former Navy SEAL member named Howard E。 Wasdin。 This book talks about Howard going through a rough childhood and the abuse from his stepfather。 His rough childhood paid off when he joined the Army because Howard said training was easier as he was used to the hard work。 The book explains what he did during training and how he was a successful sniper in The Battle of Mogadishu。 I think this book was good but it felt a little short on I Am a SEAL Team Six Warrior is a non-fictional book about the former Navy SEAL member named Howard E。 Wasdin。 This book talks about Howard going through a rough childhood and the abuse from his stepfather。 His rough childhood paid off when he joined the Army because Howard said training was easier as he was used to the hard work。 The book explains what he did during training and how he was a successful sniper in The Battle of Mogadishu。 I think this book was good but it felt a little short on details。 For example, I would have liked to have learned more about The Battle of Mogadishu。 They don’t explain much about what happens after the HumVee convoy arrives and stays overnight before capturing the enemy。 They also don’t talk much about the other characters other than Howard。 Overall, the book was fun to read, and I enjoyed it。 。。。more

I enjoyed reading this book。 It was very well written and a great story of the life of a seal team six member。 I really liked how honest the author was with everything that happened and his opinions whether agreeing or disagreeing。 Even when it was decisions the government had made that affected him in war。 It was a good book that I would recommend to people who have any interest in the military。
