she’s done it again！Not sure how these books keep getting better！ I had an inkling of where the story was going - but it was so much better than I’d guessed！ Can’t wait for book 2！

Annie and Cyrus pull you into their story of twist， turns， emotions， action， and a whole lot of secrets you won't be able to stop reading。 Annie feeling lost， broken， and ruined and after all she has been thur has she tries to get her life back on track she is attacked and Cyrus saves her。 With only one option she has to go back to her sister where she will be safe。 Cyrus trying to prove that he can be acting alpha for his sister but with a few not wanting to listen things start to get out of co Annie and Cyrus pull you into their story of twist， turns， emotions， action， and a whole lot of secrets you won't be able to stop reading。 Annie feeling lost， broken， and ruined and after all she has been thur has she tries to get her life back on track she is attacked and Cyrus saves her。 With only one option she has to go back to her sister where she will be safe。 Cyrus trying to prove that he can be acting alpha for his sister but with a few not wanting to listen things start to get out of control。 When an attack happen and things between Annie and Cyrus heat up and when they find what they are meant to be how much more danger will they be in when they find out what she actually is？ Holy cow did this book blow my mind and pull me in。 The more I read the more I wanted to know and when the truth comes out you totally won't see it coming and with the ending that will keep you coming back for more。 I so can't wait for the next to what happens。 。。。more

I knew there was more to Annie than you thought。 I am glad she got her own story and is back in the fold of the group。 She has had a rough road to travel and has come out on top so far。 Her powers have now been released and there is still more in store for her。 This could go either way at this point， we just have to wait and see what that is。 This book ended on a pivotal moment that could be good or bad， keeps you on the edge of your seat。 I can’t wait to see what happens next。

Jen’s writing is something magical and special。 I have bought most of her book series to read， and the thing is， they are able to be read over and over。 You don’t just pick it up and leave it on your bookshelf。 The characters she writes are all memorable and intricate， her worlds are magical and full of romance and adventure， and each book is something to cherish。 I truly mean this， and that her books hold a special place in my heart。 I’ve soared in the sky with dragons， and ran in the woods wi Jen’s writing is something magical and special。 I have bought most of her book series to read， and the thing is， they are able to be read over and over。 You don’t just pick it up and leave it on your bookshelf。 The characters she writes are all memorable and intricate， her worlds are magical and full of romance and adventure， and each book is something to cherish。 I truly mean this， and that her books hold a special place in my heart。 I’ve soared in the sky with dragons， and ran in the woods with the wolves。 And it’s all awesome。 I already bought this book to read， and I plan to get the others as well。 I don’t really buy a lot of books often， but when I do， I get the ones that I know matter a lot to me。 This is one of those books。 I remember holding this book all day long and jumping up and down。 It evokes so much happiness in me， and I truly love all the characters that Jen writes。 Annie， is the main protagonist of this book。 She is Ronnie’s sister， and by default， a sister-in-law to Sterlyn as well， since her fated mate happens to be related to Sterlyn。 I loved Annie， she is so flawed and messy， but yet still stands strong。 Despite suffering from trauma， she faces her problems head on。 I can relate to all this， and this is why Annie means so much to me。 I have a lot of main characters/heroines that I loved from Jen’s books， but Annie definitely takes top place。 The series as whole， Shadow City， is such a big and wide Place with so many mysteries and secrets to uncover。 There’s so many stories waiting to be told her， and all you have to do is explore the dark with many different characters and see what awaits them。 I love this world so much and the setting is always intense and atmospheric。 The romance is very steamy and heartwarming， and hits all the right points。 The chemistry between the two leads is off the charts， and develops naturally。 Annie and Cyrus don’t have it perfect， but they work through these problems and learn to become a team。 All in all， I haven’t even read this book， but I am not being biased。 It truly is a work of art， and I can’t wait for others to read it and see how epic it is。 。。。more

Welcome back to Shadow City。 Looks like it's Ronnie's sister Annie's turn to find her mate in Sterlyn's twin brother， Cyrus， and face unknown supernatural enemies。 This book was awesome， the angst because these people do not have their romantic lives together， the opposition between other supernaturals causing all the drama， but most of all because of all the craziest secrets that get revealed。 Freaking awesome。 We first meet Annie in her sister Ronnie's trilogy， she was a victim who didn't know Welcome back to Shadow City。 Looks like it's Ronnie's sister Annie's turn to find her mate in Sterlyn's twin brother， Cyrus， and face unknown supernatural enemies。 This book was awesome， the angst because these people do not have their romantic lives together， the opposition between other supernaturals causing all the drama， but most of all because of all the craziest secrets that get revealed。 Freaking awesome。 We first meet Annie in her sister Ronnie's trilogy， she was a victim who didn't know about the supernatural and appeared slightly self-centered。 However， that's not the Annie in this book， apparently， Annie has always been struggling with depression but she hid it well and the trauma from the events in Royal Vampire have taken its toll but Annie is getting stronger。 She isn't up to the level of fierceness the other girls in this series are but she is getting stronger， realizing her faults， taking a stand， and facing things head-on。 Annie isn't my favorite of the girls but I still like her。Annie isn't alone in her trauma。 Cryus has his own traumatic past and in a way， it helps them understand and connect to each other on a level that most can't since their trauma is so similar。 There is an attraction but both are in their heads and it turns Cyrus into the biggest jerk at times。 At one point he says something to Annie that was such a low blow and he got a reaction that even I wasn't expecting。 However， above all that Cryus is a good guy who just wants to prove to himself and others that he is capable of being a leader。 Just like with Annie， Cyrus isn't my favorite but I still like him well enough。 I seriously love this universe and how all the trilogies connect together。 Sterlyn and the gang are still a crucial part of the story， just the gang is getting bigger and things are connecting more。 It was interesting seeing things from Annie's perspective， it was a lot darker than I thought it would be， she's a totally different person than how Ronnie thought of her。 I also like getting to know Cyrus better， to see him as a leader， trying his best to make up for the past。 This time the gang face a couple of threats one from within as well as an outside force。 Annie's past is revealed but not in much detail and the newcomers hold all the cards。 I have a few questions about them and they fit into all of this。One thing is for sure， things are never boring in the Shadow City universe。 Ruined Mate was a very entertaining read and left on quite the cliffhanger。 I can't wait to see how the gang faces this new threat。 。。。more
