First in flight So many books in this series have called to me in their own way, but this one, this one I think is my absolute favorite。 I love the characters, and how these two lonely isolated souls connected even when they didn’t mean to。 As with any love story, there were dangers and obstacles to their HEA, but with the help of my favorite family and the strength they have developed over time, these two were able to get to the most amazing HEA。 This book was a fantastic read read I can’t wait First in flight So many books in this series have called to me in their own way, but this one, this one I think is my absolute favorite。 I love the characters, and how these two lonely isolated souls connected even when they didn’t mean to。 As with any love story, there were dangers and obstacles to their HEA, but with the help of my favorite family and the strength they have developed over time, these two were able to get to the most amazing HEA。 This book was a fantastic read read I can’t wait to read it all over again。 Well and I can’t wait to see what the next story brings。 。。。more

CaptivatingLynsay always delivers a wonderful story filled with steamy romance, a sprinkling of humor and a whole lot of action。 I just love when the bad guy gets his just deserts。 A very satisfying ending。

After Stephanie and her sister were attacked and turned against their will, Stephanie developed the ability to hear others thoughts but she can't block it out or turn it off like the other immortals can。 So her new family set her up in a house out in the middle of nowhere, far away from others。 But they don't realize that her abilities are far stronger than she let on and she can still hear some of the people around her。 Thorne was an experiment from the moment of conception。 His father is a cra After Stephanie and her sister were attacked and turned against their will, Stephanie developed the ability to hear others thoughts but she can't block it out or turn it off like the other immortals can。 So her new family set her up in a house out in the middle of nowhere, far away from others。 But they don't realize that her abilities are far stronger than she let on and she can still hear some of the people around her。 Thorne was an experiment from the moment of conception。 His father is a crazy scientist who tried to make children with special abilities through DNA splicing and he's one of the results。 He has wings and small feathers on his head and he is hoping that he can have his wings removed so he can be somewhat normal。 So he moves into the vacant house next to Stephanie and she can't hear his thoughts because something is happening with her ability which has her troubled。 She and her family are concerned that she might go crazy and start killing people like what they call a no-fanger。 It's happened before and she's concerned that her losing her ability might be the first step to her going crazy serial killer。 But she doesn't say anything to her sister about it which I thought was kinda crazy in itself。 Thorne is using the cabin close to her while her family figures out how to help him。 Stephanie is so bubbly, so open and forthright that she makes Thorne feel comfortable right away。 He feels like he's a freak and wasn't sure how she would respond to seeing him at first but they got along right from the start。 They both find the other attractive right away and he finds her funny so they get along really well。 It was fun to watch them fall for one another。It would have been interesting if Stephanie could also hear her cat and dog's thoughts because they were so much fun but that wasn't part of the story which I thought would have been fun。 When Stephanie finds out that she has a stalker or someone is just spying on her, she and Thorne try and figure out why someone is spying on her。 She thinks it's because she's an author and maybe one of her fans is trying to find out information about her newest book but then things get more dangerous and they have to call in backup。 I've been reading this series for a really long time。 This is the 34th book in the series and I still love this series and look forward to reading the books when they come out。 This was no exception, I loved Stephanie and Thorne, they were just so great together。Disclosure: I was given an e-ARC of this book via NetGalley but all thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

2 stars。I've read every book in this series, and I can't help but notice how tired and repetitive Lynsay seems。 Her books basically tell the same story, she forgets facts she's already established in the series (like when a immortal loses her virginity she has to wait 30 minutes for the hymen not to rebuild, or the fact that the hybrids on the island are the children of Dresser and now Thorne says he slept with some of them, his sisters according to the other book) and has now incorporated femin 2 stars。I've read every book in this series, and I can't help but notice how tired and repetitive Lynsay seems。 Her books basically tell the same story, she forgets facts she's already established in the series (like when a immortal loses her virginity she has to wait 30 minutes for the hymen not to rebuild, or the fact that the hybrids on the island are the children of Dresser and now Thorne says he slept with some of them, his sisters according to the other book) and has now incorporated feminist lines into the characters。Stephanie is not what I expected。 She is a writer, taking advantage of victims' stories to profit。 The idea made me nauseous。 She is also a liar。Romance is almost non-existent, as life mates fall into bed right away and are suddenly "in love"。 I'd like them to develop a relationship, and the feelings would build up over time, given the closeness。 Out of nowhere, they decide they have everything in common and decide to get married。 I can say that at least it's better than Immortal Angel (where the hero only turns into a vampire to not let the heroine give another man a chance)。I love these books and their characters, I just want better stories。And Thorne, he won't live forever, I wonder if they can turn him。There's a lot of time wasted cooking, which occurs in many of her books。The end of the Dressler saga, it's 7 years and 11 books, the end was terrible, very anticlimactic。 We deserved better。 。。。more

When I found out this was Steph and Thorn's book I just had to get my hands on it as soon as possible。Ms。 Sands did it again! There was one thing that was not found out in the story that I hope will be cleared up in the next book。 Although it makes me think there is an enforcer that might be a traitor。 I absolutely love Thorn's mom。 I'm hoping she gets her own book as well as Thorn's tia。 Those two definitely deserve some happiness。 When I found out this was Steph and Thorn's book I just had to get my hands on it as soon as possible。Ms。 Sands did it again! There was one thing that was not found out in the story that I hope will be cleared up in the next book。 Although it makes me think there is an enforcer that might be a traitor。 I absolutely love Thorn's mom。 I'm hoping she gets her own book as well as Thorn's tia。 Those two definitely deserve some happiness。 。。。more

In the latest installment of the Argeneau series, Lynsay Sands brings two previous secondary characters front and center as an old threat makes his violent return and almost finishes what he started years ago。Between hearing everyone else's thoughts and having to survive as an Edentate, a fangless immortal, Stephanie has had a rough life since she was turned thirteen years ago。 But, at least she can pass as human。 The same can't be said for Thorne, one of Dressler's experiments with feathers for In the latest installment of the Argeneau series, Lynsay Sands brings two previous secondary characters front and center as an old threat makes his violent return and almost finishes what he started years ago。Between hearing everyone else's thoughts and having to survive as an Edentate, a fangless immortal, Stephanie has had a rough life since she was turned thirteen years ago。 But, at least she can pass as human。 The same can't be said for Thorne, one of Dressler's experiments with feathers for hair and giant wings on his back。 In an attempt to live a normal life, Thorne finds himself next door to Stephanie's country home in Canada where he hopes to remove his wings once and for all。 Once Thorne and Stephanie connect, both start to envision a future where Thorne is accepted as he is with Stephanie by his side。 But just as Stephanie realizes Thorne might be her life mate, a common enemy from their past turns up and threatens everything they hold dear: their families, the immortals, and their newfound love for each other。 Immortal Rising is the 34th novel in the Argeneau series, and I have to applaud Lynsay Sands for finding new ways to keep this series fresh with each new release。 I love this series, but I'll be the first to admit I felt it was getting a little stale around book 20 or so。 But this series definitely has new life and Immortal Rising does a fantastic job at wrapping up a character arc that has been many books in the making。 That being said, while earlier books in the Argeneau series can easily be read as standalones or out of order (every early book has a nice recap explanation of what being immortal means), by the time we get to Immortal Rising, there is a nice, over-arcing story line that can only truly be understood and appreciated by reading the prior books in the series。 Sands always does a fantastic job at creating life mates for her immortals, and Stephanie and Thorne's story is no different。 I really loved their pairing; while other life mates have had things like food or music in common, Steph and Thorne went beyond the surface when it came to their commonalities。 Both of these main characters felt like outsiders: Thorne because he was an experimental hybrid, and Stephanie because she was turned as an Edentate and couldn't function quite the same way as her fellow fanged immortals。 I loved that these two people who felt like they didn't belong could find love and a feeling of belonging with each other。 Immortal Rising is written with the same quick-paced action and hint of mystery that is common in the Argeneau series。 With cameos from many of our favorite immortals, this 34th book in the series combines fan favorites yet still creates a whole new story。 I loved Thorne and Stephanie, and I was glad to see a larger story arc finally finding its resolution with this novel。 Fans of the Argeneau series, and especially fans of the more recent Immortal titles, will not want to miss out on this newest title from Lynsay Sands。 。。。more

I love Lynsay Sand's novels, and even though we are now on a surprising 34th installment of this amazing family and extended family, she somehow manages to keep it fresh and interesting - this novel most of all! I felt like this could be read as a standalone, but if you are looking for a little more history into this character that has grown up and into the Argeneau's you might want to read back to the main character's sister and her novel "The Immortal Hunter", but again, it's not necessary to learn about these characters and where they've come from。Stephanie McGill didn't grow up as an immortal, she was thrust into the world of "vampires" when she and her sister were stolen years ago。 Thankfully they ended up with the Argeneau's, a powerful immortal family focus on keeping everyone safe by ridding the world of vampires, those who have gone insane and attack/drink/kill humans。 While Stephanie is now a lot like her foster family and even her biological sister, she is also different able to do things not even Lucian, the powerful head of the Argeneau's can do。 Because of this, she constantly has to stay on her toes, aware of how she presents herself and also how she utilizes her abilities。 When not helping hunt down vampires, she lives secluded in her own safe space lamenting the fact that she's a 27-year-old virgin。So, who better to be her life mate other than a mortal-immortal with his own set of unique abilities? Thorne hails from an island of experiments and nightmares, happy to be free, he's awaiting a consultation with Stephanie's Doctor sister Dani to potentially get his wings removed - you read that right! He's had a very sheltered life, but has a heart of gold and frankly, wings of valor! When these two meet, sparks ignite, they are a great fit for many reasons but most importantly, they've both had hard upbringings and are only now trying to break out of their shells。 A man from both their pasts is going to make it as hard as possible for them, but if anyone can overcome one crazy person bent on destruction, it's these two。I really loved these two characters, Stephanie has had a few cameos as she joined the series at 16, so it was nice to see her get a love story of her own。 And Thorne was so interesting, his background is something I would have loved to read more of。 While I very much enjoyed the book, I felt like there was quite a bit of it where Sands just handed over what she wanted us to know instead of writing it through her character's point of view。 I skipped a few pages at a time as she had characters explain in detail where groceries were coming from or why they needed to do some menial task or something else along those lines, it took me a little out of the story。 I loved seeing the scenes between Stephanie and Thorne's mom however, I'm hoping they can find lifemates of their own。 Such a fun character who loves her son very much。I'd definitely read this again, along with the whole series。 Lynsay Sands definitely knows what she's doing! My opinions are freely given and my own。 。。。more

IMMORTAL RISING is the thirty-fourth book in the Argeneau series。 While this may stand on its own, I highly recommend reading as many of the previous books in the series as possible。 There is a lot of reference to past events。 I love Stephanie。 Well, everyone loves Stephanie; because she was turned at such a young age, everyone has adopted her as a baby sister, daughter, niece… But I love her because she would be me as a vampire。 It all has turned out wrong and made her a freak among the hidden IMMORTAL RISING is the thirty-fourth book in the Argeneau series。 While this may stand on its own, I highly recommend reading as many of the previous books in the series as possible。 There is a lot of reference to past events。 I love Stephanie。 Well, everyone loves Stephanie; because she was turned at such a young age, everyone has adopted her as a baby sister, daughter, niece… But I love her because she would be me as a vampire。 It all has turned out wrong and made her a freak among the hidden society。 She is Edentate; she has no fangs。 Plus, she has a unique ability to hear everyone, all of the time。 This ability makes everyone think she will go rogue from the constant bombardment of sound in her head。 Her new immortal friends worry about her constantly, so she hides (internalizes) anything she thinks may cause them more worry。 I。 Get。 That!Thorne is genetically the son of Dressler, but also one of Dressler’s mutants。 He has the DNA of several animals within, but the one that is physically prominent is Bald Eagle。 He has large, beautiful, brown wings and a white feather cap instead of hair。 I love that Stephanie sees Thorne as a man first and foremost。 Yes, the wings are obvious and intriguing, but she connects with him as a human being before discussing what makes him different from every other person on earth。It may have only been a few days from meeting to accepting that they are life-mates, but Stephanie and Thorne are so unique as individuals that they are able create a slow-burn romance that develops naturally in those few days instead of the usual life-mate insta-lust and love。 Absolutely wonderful to read and become Stephanie for a day。 I was also Thorne for part of the day, but I identified with Stacie。 Great romance, suspense, and emotion。Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via NetGalley, my opinions are my own and are given freely。Title: IMMORTAL RISINGSeries: Argeneau #34Category /Genre: Paranormal RomanceRecommended for: 18+ due to sexual contentGrammar/editing: A – near perfectReceived from: Avon and Harper Voyager (as an ARC gifted copy) 。。。more

I'm not sure how this author is still able to keep this series fresh, but I for one am not tired of it 34 books in。 Stephanie and Thorne are wonderful characters and I was able to get behind them as a couple right away。 I really enjoyed the story and never felt like it was stale in any way。 That's the mark of a fantastic writer! Looking forward to this series never ending。 I'm not sure how this author is still able to keep this series fresh, but I for one am not tired of it 34 books in。 Stephanie and Thorne are wonderful characters and I was able to get behind them as a couple right away。 I really enjoyed the story and never felt like it was stale in any way。 That's the mark of a fantastic writer! Immortal Rising is another installment in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands。 In this book we meant the heroine Stephanie McGill who was attacked and turned as a teen。 Stephanie is spunky, and immediately likable。 Being an immortal is already quite something add to it that she has a pretty unique ability, and the reader can sense that she’s feeling rather lonely in her little carve corner, though she's surrounded by her very awesome adopted family。 Thorne we have met before, he is Dr。 Dressler’ Immortal Rising is another installment in the Argeneau series by Lynsay Sands。 In this book we meant the heroine Stephanie McGill who was attacked and turned as a teen。 Stephanie is spunky, and immediately likable。 Being an immortal is already quite something add to it that she has a pretty unique ability, and the reader can sense that she’s feeling rather lonely in her little carve corner, though she's surrounded by her very awesome adopted family。 Thorne we have met before, he is Dr。 Dressler’s son, aka the wacko geneticist that loves experimenting with DNA recombination。 This makes Thorne pretty unique himself, as he has human DNA spliced with animal DNA。 Though this is fine as a read alone, I think it would be best if the other books were read also that first introduces us to Stephanie and Thorne。 Having met the characters before, I did not think them a good pairing, but it was pulled off。 Thorne physically looks like a man; a hot off the meters one, except he has wings that make it hard to live a normal life and so becomes Stephanie’s neighbor while Dani (Stephanie’s sister) figures out how to take them off。 So, what follows is a steamy romantic adventure, full of the typical Ms Sands humor and quirk that makes you wanna read till the end。 My review was given on the ARC copy received from the Publisher via NetGalley in return for my honest opinion。 。。。more

After reading immortal rising all I can say is, wow。 I flew through this book and couldn’t get enough。 The action was great, good plot/dilemma, and then there’s some spicy romance all mixed together。 The book keeps you on your toes as there’s always something happening, which makes it impossible to put down。 There wasn’t a dull moment, and I absolutely LOVED Thorne and Stephanie。 They’re both sweethearts and you can’t help but root for the both of them。 I really hope they’re revisited in another After reading immortal rising all I can say is, wow。 I flew through this book and couldn’t get enough。 The action was great, good plot/dilemma, and then there’s some spicy romance all mixed together。 The book keeps you on your toes as there’s always something happening, which makes it impossible to put down。 There wasn’t a dull moment, and I absolutely LOVED Thorne and Stephanie。 They’re both sweethearts and you can’t help but root for the both of them。 I really hope they’re revisited in another book because at the ending they were talking about some exciting possibilities and I’d love to read more about their journey。 *(I received an e-book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 This in no way changed or influenced my views or opinions。) 。。。more

I loved this story。 I have read quite a few of Lynsay Sands' books, but it's been awhile since I've read any paranormal。 Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down。 The main characters were Stephanie and Thorne。 Stephanie had been turned when she was just a teenager and was having trouble shutting out the voices from people around her。 Thorne had been created by a psycho, had wings, hearing of a bat and several other things that made him very special。 It was quite embarrassing for her when she s I loved this story。 I have read quite a few of Lynsay Sands' books, but it's been awhile since I've read any paranormal。 Once I got into it, I couldn't put it down。 The main characters were Stephanie and Thorne。 Stephanie had been turned when she was just a teenager and was having trouble shutting out the voices from people around her。 Thorne had been created by a psycho, had wings, hearing of a bat and several other things that made him very special。 It was quite embarrassing for her when she said something about him having a hot body and realized he could hear her。 The story moved along quickly and lots of things were explained when Lucian and his group came out to help with an attack on them。 He figured out pretty quickly what was happening to her。I got this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review 。。。more

As usual, another awesome book by MS。 Sands I love this series, and I love that each couple gets their own story。I am so happy that Stephanie gets a happy ending and a life mate, it's awesome that it is one of the hybrids from Dressler's island。I am also glad that Stephanie and Dani got to have their "talk" about their relationshipThis story like all in the series, has lots of action and lots of loving。*I received my copy in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley As usual, another awesome book by MS。 Sands I love this series, and I love that each couple gets their own story。I am so happy that Stephanie gets a happy ending and a life mate, it's awesome that it is one of the hybrids from Dressler's island。I am also glad that Stephanie and Dani got to have their "talk" about their relationshipThis story like all in the series, has lots of action and lots of loving。*I received my copy in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley 。。。more
