Now this is how you write an engaging mystery！ From the first page I was hooked and it truly had me guessing until the last page though I will say I did find the ending a bit rushed。

Lena hasn’t talked to her sister， Desirae in 2 years。 She finds out Desirae died of an overdose in a park near her home。 She lives nowhere near Lena’s home。 What was she doing over there？ Was it really an overdose？ Or did something more sinister take place？ And if so， what， and why？？ This one read like a YA novel， but I was there for it！ I loved this one and flew through it。 Lena is an awesome detective getting more figured out in less time than the actual detectives working the case。 Now- I wil Lena hasn’t talked to her sister， Desirae in 2 years。 She finds out Desirae died of an overdose in a park near her home。 She lives nowhere near Lena’s home。 What was she doing over there？ Was it really an overdose？ Or did something more sinister take place？ And if so， what， and why？？ This one read like a YA novel， but I was there for it！ I loved this one and flew through it。 Lena is an awesome detective getting more figured out in less time than the actual detectives working the case。 Now- I will say- If I never read the word shitnuts again it will be too soon。🤣 That word drove me crazy throughout the story and Lena said it ALL。 THE。 TIME。 I totally had some Anna Delvy vibes through a decent chunk of the book。 It definitely made the book interesting！ This story had multiple twists and I couldn’t guess how it was going to end up。 My thoughts went back and forth a ton and I never figured out what happened to Desirae til the end。 I love that！ This is a fast read that will keep you engaged！ 。。。more

I loved this！ Lena Scott is the character of my heart and exactly what I look for when I’m searching for my next read with a “strong female lead。” This was a light thriller， very whodunit with family drama and dynamic characters。 I switched to the audiobook during commutes， and Bahni Turpin does excellent narration that kicks up the tension。

I have been waiting a while to read this one， and it did not disappoint！ I really loved the voice of the main character， and how many twists and turns there were。 I was questioning everyone’s motives right up until the satisfying conclusion。 A definite recommend for mystery and thriller readers。
