Summary

The cats of America are under siege!

Long gone are the good old days when a cat’s biggest worries were mean dogs or a bath。 Modern cats must confront satanists, online predators, the possibility of needing to survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, and countless other threats to their nine lives。

For over four decades, the American Association of Patriots have stood at the vanguard of our country's defense by helping to prepare our nation's cat owners for the difficult conversations they dread having with their pets。 Written in a simple Q&A format, How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety answers crucial questions such as, “What is the right age to talk to my cat about the proper use of firearms?” and “What are the benefits of my cat living a lifestyle of abstinence?” and especially “Why does my cat need to use the internet? Can’t he just play with yarn like cats used to do?”

Our country—and our cats—stand at a precipice。 It will take courage, and it will take hard work, but armed with the knowledge within these pages, we can make our cats—and America—great again!

I get this is supposed to be funny。 I understand what it's a satire of。 But when you're part of one of the minorities that the target of what's being satired uses their rhetoric against, and the verbiage is kept the same it just doesn't read right。 I get this is supposed to be funny。 I understand what it's a satire of。 But when you're part of one of the minorities that the target of what's being satired uses their rhetoric against, and the verbiage is kept the same it just doesn't read right。 。。。more

There’s one joke and the author just decided to run with it… for 140 pages。 Do you like pretending that cats can operate guns? …do you like re-reading that same joke 140 times? Yeah, that’s the whole book。

Let me start by saying I do understand that this book is supposed to be a satire, it’s supposed to be funny, and it’s not supposed to be taken seriously。 That being said, a lot of the information in this book was harmful, hurtful, and hateful。 Pretty sure the entire thing might just be orchestrated propaganda for the far right (as evidenced by the extremely overblown, false, and fearmongering statements made about any policy or opinion that might be slightly liberal。 Also, pushing the rhetoric t Let me start by saying I do understand that this book is supposed to be a satire, it’s supposed to be funny, and it’s not supposed to be taken seriously。 That being said, a lot of the information in this book was harmful, hurtful, and hateful。 Pretty sure the entire thing might just be orchestrated propaganda for the far right (as evidenced by the extremely overblown, false, and fearmongering statements made about any policy or opinion that might be slightly liberal。 Also, pushing the rhetoric that homosexuality is wrong and satanic in a book that’s supposed to be lighthearted and about cats… i’m just disgusted。 。。。more

Its difficult to start a conversation about gun safety with your cat but very important。 If not now when?

My husband and I thought this book was hysterical!

I enjoy a good satire and am no stranger to macabre political humor, but this… this was bad。 Sort of like a train wreck that you want to watch, but know its going to end in the most awful way possible。 Thats how I felt about this book。 The book title is actually amazing, instantly grabs your attention, but then you realize you just wasted 2 hours of your valuable reading time for this。 There were a couple of funny one liners and such, but definitely not enough to give this more than one star。

I have very mixed feelings about this book。 It was kind of a mess, and I still don't know if it was satire or not。 I have very mixed feelings about this book。 It was kind of a mess, and I still don't know if it was satire or not。 。。。more

It’s solid, it’s funny, though it gets repetitive。 There’s ~6-8~ chapters of how to educate your cat on *insert topic* with the punchline being recycled in each chapter。 Also anytime a cat pun could be made it was。 This pun usage flipped between being tiring and camp。 Entertaining, and a short read but could’ve been shorter。

Given to me as a gag gift, and it serves basically only that purpose。 I read all the repetitive pamphlets contained, and while they are funny the joke wears thin quickly。 I also found the fact this was printed in a sans-serif font distracting and uncomfortable。 Not really my cup of tea, but as a small gift from a friend and a way to kill an hour or two, not the worst thing in the world。

Fun and entertaining, but a bit to repetitive for me。

This book is great and hilarious。 This is the kind of humor that I love。 When I’m bored or down I pick this book up and I skim through and I laugh and read the paragraphs to people around me。 But the best part? The BEST part is reading the 1 star reviews in here from people who didn’t get the joke 🤣😂 It’s truly the best。 I’m not talking about the people who didn’t like or find it funny。。 that’s fine。。 not everyone has the same sense of humor。。 but, go through the comments and read the ones that This book is great and hilarious。 This is the kind of humor that I love。 When I’m bored or down I pick this book up and I skim through and I laugh and read the paragraphs to people around me。 But the best part? I now feel confident in knowing my cats are growing up in a Good Christian Household and they can handle their weapons with ease。 I am, however, worried they may not be as pure as our Lord would like for them to be。。。

How to talk to your cat about gun safety is hilarious with many images of cats and cat puns like “ pawsitively” and “impurrtance”。 Moreover this book is for the all American Christian folks who want to know how to raise their childern one day with the hidden metaphor of cats。 Covering multiple important topics that are sometime rough to talk about are discussed less melancholy because of the use of cats。

Title made me laugh out loud。 It started hopeful but it really wasn't that funny after a few pages。 It seemed too real and not absurd enough。 Left me disappointed。 Sad part is that there are people out here in the world that would agree with the sentiments。。。minus the cats and replace with children。 *cue flashbacks of ultra-conservative education* Thinking my life experience has jaded me not to like this book。 I'm really curious the author's intention and motivation。 Title made me laugh out loud。 It started hopeful but it really wasn't that funny after a few pages。 It seemed too real and not absurd enough。 Left me disappointed。 Sad part is that there are people out here in the world that would agree with the sentiments。。。minus the cats and replace with children。 *cue flashbacks of ultra-conservative education* Thinking my life experience has jaded me not to like this book。 I'm really curious the author's intention and motivation。 。。。more

The reason that satire is funny is that it mocks true life。 I was very confused about who he was mocking。 I kept thinking, “he does know that libertarian anti government people and boomer republicans are not the same people, doesn’t he?” He at one point makes a joke about how the right believes in Big Pharma because the drugs are made by white people。 Which falls totally flat, because large swaths of conservatives don’t trust big Pharma。 That being said, I did laugh several times。 He’s clearly a The reason that satire is funny is that it mocks true life。 I was very confused about who he was mocking。 I kept thinking, “he does know that libertarian anti government people and boomer republicans are not the same people, doesn’t he?” He at one point makes a joke about how the right believes in Big Pharma because the drugs are made by white people。 Which falls totally flat, because large swaths of conservatives don’t trust big Pharma。 That being said, I did laugh several times。 He’s clearly a funny author。 I just don’t think the satire is great。 。。。more

I randomly remembered this book and decided to read it。 Way to run a joke into the ground。 There were a few very funny passages, but overall this did not need to be a book。 Of course, things like that get made to put on your coffee table。

Valarie

I really wanted to love this but it was just too long 😂 More cats and fewer words would be better。 5 stars for creativity though。

Incredibly informative。 Auburn has written a masterpiece - this book has been incredibly enlightening and has shown me how sinful my cat was - he was clearly part of a Satanic cult who did not abstain enough, and shot his gun to the sky, not to the ground, when warning the dogs。 I wish I had read this earlier, as God has most likely sent him to hell for all his sins。 I recommend you get this ASAP to make sure your cat is not a sinful infidel!

Lee Smith

Okay。 This was cute。 A short read。 I am glad my mother gave it to me

Jane

Ugh。 Scoop up this hairball of a book and put it in the trash。

Kayla Kish

It’s funny。 But there are parts that drag。
