I love this book! It's my trusty little sidekick as I write in it to decompress before dozing off every night。Fran Hauser candidly tells it like it is and allows the reader to take control of their life by taking a step back to see the bigger picture。 My favorite section of the book was "Knowing Your Value," especially the smile file。 This exercise helped me truly see the successes that made me happy, and not in relation to what everyone else thinks。 When cancelling out the noise, this helped me I love this book! I found Fran Hauser’s Embrace the Work, Love Your Career an invaluable guide in the same way so many of us return time and time again to Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and Louise Hay’s How to Heal Your Life。 The book is expertly written by one of the best business mentors anyone could dream up, especially for women。 It was so inspiring to experience a book that felt like a clear map, taking me through all the elements of not just a successful career, but life, too。 In a very relatable and enjo I found Fran Hauser’s Embrace the Work, Love Your Career an invaluable guide in the same way so many of us return time and time again to Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and Louise Hay’s How to Heal Your Life。 The book is expertly written by one of the best business mentors anyone could dream up, especially for women。 It was so inspiring to experience a book that felt like a clear map, taking me through all the elements of not just a successful career, but life, too。 In a very relatable and enjoyable way, she shares how cultivating awareness of your mindset, self-care, and even manners, are just as important as your big goals to discovering, creating and nurturing your ideal career。 Using just one of the tools Fran suggests, I felt a positive shift in my view of my career and personal life。 After the last few years, it was a refreshing and motivating experience。 I encourage all women looking for inspiration to read this book。 I loved it! 。。。more

Fran writes, "A big part of listening is asking the right questions。" I think this captures the crux of this book in helping you ask the right questions of yourself and what you want from your life and your career, and converting those answers into action。 Make time to listen to yourself。Fran encourages the reader to carve out time to carefully examine and reflect on accomplishments, setbacks and relationships to purposefully plan the path to the future。 The quote "you cannot be what you cannot Fran writes, "A big part of listening is asking the right questions。" I think this captures the crux of this book in helping you ask the right questions of yourself and what you want from your life and your career, and converting those answers into action。 Make time to listen to yourself。Fran encourages the reader to carve out time to carefully examine and reflect on accomplishments, setbacks and relationships to purposefully plan the path to the future。 The quote "you cannot be what you cannot see" is often used in the context of role models, but visualizing yourself in the role you want also applies。The book is very well organized and full of relevant examples to help the reader bolster her confidence, learn from mishaps, and build a personal advisory board。 The mandalas and meditation passages reinforce the importance of slowing down to get to the core work required to see your natural talents shine through and guide you。 Do the work, work your plan, and love your career。 。。。more

At times our experiences in the workforce make loving our career feel impossible, yet most of us maintain a sense of hope that perhaps it really is something that could happen… maybe I really could love my work and my career。 This book is your toolkit to make that dream a reality。I spent two days diving into Embrace the Work, Love Your Career, and it’s most definitely going to become an annual practice。 The format of the book is easy to work through, and the mentorship Fran Hauser provides through storytelling and sharing advice is succinct, meaningful, and useful。 Her anecdotes of colleagues, peers, and mentees navigating career moments and decisions alongside her own, provide key insights into how we can make better decisions and be more pragmatic in our career growth and planning。I loved writing all over my copy of the workbook, and getting the actual planning in motion while reading。 From creating my dream advisors map for my work/life, to organizing my really big goals (RBGs), and learning ways to better prioritize my time, the workbook created space for me to do what my creative and strategic self love to do: to brain dump, reorganize, make it colour coordinated, and then have a physical reminder of what I’m working towards。 The meditations and colouring sections are a nice touch to create space for rest, fun, and creativity along the journey。To get access to key insights, strategies, and mentorship from Fran in book form is amazing。 Her career has been so impactful from working as an executive in traditional media, to now advising start-ups across industries。 This book is now a key part of my career growth toolkit, and something I will cherish as I continue to work towards my goals and dreams, and intentionally check in with them over the months and years to come。Every person looking to get organized with their career plans, and have more fun along the way needs this book! 。。。more

I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of this book。 It is very tactical and I appreciate how interactive it is。 Fran Hauser provides great guidance on how to set goals, hone in on your skills, prioritize areas of your life and establish a supportive network。The "Saying No" chapter really resonated with me, and it probably will for so many women。I think this book is incredibly innovative by providing QR codes with audio mediations at the end of sections。 They are quick but great。 Another fan I was fortunate to receive an advance copy of this book。 It is very tactical and I appreciate how interactive it is。 Fran Hauser provides great guidance on how to set goals, hone in on your skills, prioritize areas of your life and establish a supportive network。The "Saying No" chapter really resonated with me, and it probably will for so many women。I think this book is incredibly innovative by providing QR codes with audio mediations at the end of sections。 They are quick but great。 Another fantastic, inspiring book by Fran Hauser。 In this book, she really leads women on a journey to find their right path。 。。。more
