Summary

Emotionally unavailable doesn’t even begin to describe my new fake boyfriend。 He’s cold。 He’s distant。 He has more defenses than a nuclear missile silo。 And he’s the ultimate catch of the century。 At least, according to his bank statement。

My job’s simple: Keep Hayes Rutherford’s matchmaking relatives and all interested ladies away from the cranky, grumpy, walled-off heir to my favorite movie empire, and in return, he won’t ruin my life over a teensy, tiny little misunderstanding。

But the more I sneak past Hayes’s walls and fences, the more I realize that while we might be from different worlds, we have more in common than either of us expected。 The man under all the glitz, glamour, and dollar signs could be the real love of my life。

But you know what they say about fake dating a billionaire—it’s all fun and games until the scandals start。

The Last Eligible Billionaire is a swoony, laugh-out-loud romance featuring a botched wax job, a woman in over her head, a man in over his heart, and the sweetest misguided dog to ever play matchmaker…or at least make sure these two anti-love birds never have clothes when they get out of the shower。

A new stand alone romantic comedy from Pippa Grant。

Different and DifficultTwo people so different from each other, yet suffering from the same inflicted feelings。 Love is not given, trust is easy broken, life throws you together because fate lives。

Two very different people find love when least expecting or wanting itPippa Grant is an amazing author and her romantic comedies are simply the best。 One minute, you are laughing hysterically and the next, you are crying。 This story is about one person finding herself and refusing to settlevever again and other too scared of rejection to even look again。

Get me a Hayes。 Like, right now。 PLEASE。 He’s so gone for Begonia, I absolutely love it, and you can see how he goes above and beyond just for her。 Who doesn’t want a partner like that? 4。5 Marshmallow starsI want a dog like Marshmallow。Oh, and I loved both Begonia and Hayes too。 Begonia is quirky, Hayes is a grump, but they are both endearing characters。With Pippa Grant books, I usually either love them or struggle to finish them because of the nonsensical way she writes sometimes。 There are only a few flashes of that type of writing here, the rest is a sweet, fake-dating to real romance which I can solidly put in the love column。 Light with very mild angst and a super sweet H 4。5 Marshmallow starsI want a dog like Marshmallow。Oh, and I loved both Begonia and Hayes too。 Begonia is quirky, Hayes is a grump, but they are both endearing characters。With Pippa Grant books, I usually either love them or struggle to finish them because of the nonsensical way she writes sometimes。 There are only a few flashes of that type of writing here, the rest is a sweet, fake-dating to real romance which I can solidly put in the love column。 Light with very mild angst and a super sweet HEA, epilogue, and bonus epilogue。But let's be honest, Marshmallow may very well be the best part。 。。。more

Pippa is the Queen of my library。 Once again she has knocked me for a loop and made me fall in love with another couple and learn to love myself a little more。 Pippa teaches me so much about myself in every book。 I can always find myself in some capacity in each of her heroines and I think that is part of what has quickly made her my favorite author。 She helps me refill my joy well and find new things to love about my husband as well。 Pippa, you rock。 Please, don't ever stop! Unfortunately DNF’d this one at 13%the heroine was just a tad bit too wacky and quirky for my tastes and her thoughts were all rambles and it honestly annoyed the hell out of me and made me dislike her。 if you’re into reading long winded rambles by a quirky heroine this may be for you but for me it was torturous to read and I couldn’t torture myself any longer。 i think I may have enjoyed this more if the writing wasn’t so wordy but I understand that the character is quirky and thus her thoughts Unfortunately DNF’d this one at 13%the heroine was just a tad bit too wacky and quirky for my tastes and her thoughts were all rambles and it honestly annoyed the hell out of me and made me dislike her。 if you’re into reading long winded rambles by a quirky heroine this may be for you but for me it was torturous to read and I couldn’t torture myself any longer。 i think I may have enjoyed this more if the writing wasn’t so wordy but I understand that the character is quirky and thus her thoughts are probably long and wordy but as a reader I was just irritated and wanted her to shut up。 。。。more

This book is typical Pippa Grant preciousness。 Lots of laughs some really over the top characters and hysterical takes on real life events。 Pippa never disappoints when it comes to laughs。There was one issue with this book that nearly made me scream at the very end。 I’m not going to spoil it, but I found out something new about myself as a romance reader。 She made up for it in the epilogue, but I was extremely upset for about ten pages。Overall, it’s a four star book。 I recommend it。 It’s not my This book is typical Pippa Grant preciousness。 Lots of laughs some really over the top characters and hysterical takes on real life events。 Pippa never disappoints when it comes to laughs。There was one issue with this book that nearly made me scream at the very end。 I’m not going to spoil it, but I found out something new about myself as a romance reader。 She made up for it in the epilogue, but I was extremely upset for about ten pages。Overall, it’s a four star book。 I recommend it。 It’s not my favorite Pippa - I’m never a big fake relationship girl, but she definitely does it better than most。 It’s cute。 I don’t think it’ll be a re-read for me, but it was certainly a fun one! 。。。more

Begonia is pure sunshine, and Hayes is as emotionally unavailable as they come。 But she has a tremendous influence on him。I loved Begonia and Hayes as they pretended to be a couple, which became something more than pretend。 Until it all came crashing down。The book is humorous, heartwarming, heartbreaking, and ultimately so satisfying。 I have a terrible book hangover, and nothing else will do。

Pills hits it out of the parkOnce again PG has written a comic on masterpiece! I laughed, cried then laughed till I cried, rinse and repeat。 Yes there was a little sexy time but not just for the sake of it。 Romantic, well written, and fit the mood。 Sad tears, happy tears, and laughing until you cry a true Pippa story。

I did it! I finished this! I wanted to DNF at 80% but I pulled through and it wasn’t worth it。 I love that people really like this book and I am usually a slut for a grumpy x sunshine but I couldn’t with this book。 It had the makings for a brilliant novel, and there wasn’t a damn thing wrong with the writing it was just painful。 The characters annoyed me。 The sunshine was so unrealistic and the grumpy was so annoying。 And them together 🤢I finished this book for 1 reason。 Because I spent $3。99 on I did it! Insufferable characters。 Main female lead is painfully obnoxious and gives secondhand embarrassment routinely for the first few chapters。 Dog was the saving grace。

Debby

a bit ridiculous Not my usual, that’s for sure。 A bit out there for a story and I guess it was supposed to be amusing。 Laughed once。 Otherwise, a bit ridiculous。

Val

This book is both hilarious and heartfelt。 I laughed when I cried。 I fell head over heels for the Hero and the heroine and the dog。 marshmallow is easily the best animal in all of pippaverse!

“You are my favorite kind of everything。” ❤What can I say it’s Pippa Grant! I love her books。 Whenever I need a break from the darker side of romance I know I can not go wrong with a Rom-Com from this author。 The Last Eligible Billionaire is the perfect balance of hilarious, sweet, sexy, quirky and heart that makes romance lovers swoon。 Exactly what I was looking for。 Also if I ever get a place big enough to adopt a dog I’m seriously thinking of calling him or her Marshmallow。 😂❤I’m pretty sure  “You are my favorite kind of everything。” ❤What can I say it’s Pippa Grant! Let me start by saying that I love Pippa Grant novels。 Her hero’s are always on point and her heroines are always total badasses that I adore。 But I hadn’t read one in a bit and I forgot something。 And that thing is the way that she envelopes me into this world with fun banter, amazing side characters and shenanigans that are so over the top they have me laughing out loud。 This is a stand alone (as of yet) so there isn’t the built in secondary characters or running jokes that I loved about her o Let me start by saying that I love Pippa Grant novels。 Her hero’s are always on point and her heroines are always total badasses that I adore。 But I hadn’t read one in a bit and I forgot something。 And that thing is the way that she envelopes me into this world with fun banter, amazing side characters and shenanigans that are so over the top they have me laughing out loud。 This is a stand alone (as of yet) so there isn’t the built in secondary characters or running jokes that I loved about her other books (but the potential is there if she wants to dive into any of these side characters) but that didn’t take away from the hilarity that was Marshmallow。 He was the absolute star of this book and I adored everything about him。 Stealing things and handing things out to strangers and running a general muck was a blast。 As someone who has mischievous animals it was awesome to see them represented in such a fun way and the fact that everyone just accepts him is amazing。 On to our characters, Hayes is a grump a lump billionaire who basically grew up on lifetime movies but has had his heart stomped on so many times that he doesn’t believe in love anymore。 Begonia is a divorcee who is working on finding herself and adventure again after being in a marriage where she settled and didn’t feel loved。 They enter a relationship of convenience, NDA included, and of course fall and fall hard。 Of course problems ensue but I adore everything about Begonia。 She honestly is a total ray of sunshine that brightens everything and it was tough to see her put into situations with Hayes’ family and acquaintances who want nothing more than to belittle her and make her feel like shit。 But she handles it with such ease and with such strength that you cannot help but completely adore her。 。。。more

Nicely written with a pretty good storyline and execution。I liked it, and Marshmallow the retired rescue dog (can the dog be retired if it never WAS or actually worked as a rescue dog?) was absolutely hilarious, even though I cringed at a lot of what the dog ended up doing。 Marshmallow really needed more firm guidance instead of people laughing and overlooking the wrong behaviors。 The dog didn't know how to distinguish when the right time was to do helpful acts, so someone should have given more Nicely written with a pretty good storyline and execution。I liked it, and Marshmallow the retired rescue dog (can the dog be retired if it never WAS or actually worked as a rescue dog?) was absolutely hilarious, even though I cringed at a lot of what the dog ended up doing。 Marshmallow really needed more firm guidance instead of people laughing and overlooking the wrong behaviors。 The dog didn't know how to distinguish when the right time was to do helpful acts, so someone should have given more training。 It probably isn't easy to correct, bit, it is NOT impossible。 Anyway, the dog and the Sturgises were sour points in the book。 They needed to be put into their place, and have karma pay them a visit。 Not enough satisfaction in only Begonia giving them a setdown, and what in the world was that BJ scene even doing in a public venue like that? Of all people, Hayes should have known better than to allow something like that to take place outside of his own home。 I didn't get why that was put in there, aside from striving for maximum shaming and devastating results for the main characters。 Unrealistic, however as Hayes wasn't impulsive by nature, and his whole existence was predicated on watching that his behavior in public was perfect。 Therefore, I didn't find it believable, so I took a star and a half off for that。 Otherwise, the writing was well done。 Three and a half stars。 。。。more

So I ended up liking this book a lot more than I originally thought I would。 I normally research books before I read them, but I just saw this on my Kindle discover page and all of the reviews were good so I thought I'd try it out。 And now I'm shocked that I've never read anything by Pippa Grant because this book was actually pretty good! It was pretty hard for me to get over the name Begonia。 It took me most of the book to connect the dots between her and Hyacinth's names。。。 I can't stand ridiculous names in books and this one bothered me the whole way through。 It felt out of place。 While I did enjoy this book all the way through, there's something missing from it for me which is why it's 4 instead of 5 stars。 IDK if it's the names or that I didn't care for any of the characters alone, I'm really not sure。 I enjoyed watching Begonia and Hayes grow as people。 Through Hayes, Begonia figured out what she wanted in a partner and what she would no longer settle for。 And through Begonia, Hayes figured out that sometimes love is real and worth fighting for。 I guess I'm trying to say I liked the message and the story overall, but the little weird tidbits that might have made this story cute and quirky to someone else came off a little too weird to me。 It was like take all of these weird elements and just throw them in here and see what happens。。。 Overall, I really did enjoy this book。 It was pretty entertaining and I found myself rooting for Begonia and Hayes。 While there was still something missing for me, it was a pretty good book that was worth the read。 I'll def read something else by this author now。 。。。more
