Love it!I really enjoyed following along on this journey through the ups and downs。 Val and the guys have a great story, and I hope we get to see more after the initial series。 The Mafia wars series have all been amazing books that I can not stop recommending to others!! I really hope we get to see these books continue after the initial 6。 It would be amazing to see how their stories move on。

Wilted Orchid Loxley Savage Mafia Wars! Book 4Oh my gosh! This is the first book of Loxley's that I have read。 And I am sorry that I haven't read more。 Her story line was serious and had moments when I laughed out loud。 Her world building is excellent and the Characters are so wonderful。 Valentina, Salvatore, Fausto and Armani。 Valentina is the younger sister to the guys in Ruining Delilah。 I was so engaged in the book that I had to try to sleep instead of read。。lol。 You REALLY NEED to read this Wilted Orchid Loxley Savage Mafia Wars! it fell a bit flatI’ve really been enjoying these interconnected books and stuck with this one to read about Lily’s brothers and the Rossi boys sister。 And overall, I like the characters… and even the plot was good。 But it fell flat to me。 I liked the characters, but didn’t feel any reason for their feeling to be so strong - I didn’t really see the relationship building。There were a good number of inconsistencies as well。 There’s a point where Fausto says he likes going to the slums of NY and fi it fell a bit flatI’ve really been enjoying these interconnected books and stuck with this one to read about Lily’s brothers and the Rossi boys sister。 And overall, I like the characters… and even the plot was good。 But it fell flat to me。 I liked the characters, but didn’t feel any reason for their feeling to be so strong - I didn’t really see the relationship building。There were a good number of inconsistencies as well。 There’s a point where Fausto says he likes going to the slums of NY and fighting under the name Dominic。 But he lives in Chicago and has an alter ego of Tony。 Then there’s the part when Payton comes to visit, but she just says Fausto shows up on her doorstep begging her to come out for the day。 But that takes a 2hour plane ride that no one mentions。 Which might be ok if the author didn’t put so much emphasis on other minute and irrelevant details。Aside from the inconsistencies, there’s my least favorite character trait… stupidity。 Val is young and sheltered, so if she feels threatened it makes the most sense to tell her brothers and not go off on her own *eyeroll*。 Her decisions didn’t make any sense。Finally, there were parts I just had to huff at。 Val says d**k jokes are beneath her but the author makes such big points about her holding in the fart and other juvenile things。 I get Val is 18, but really。Overall, not a bad addition but I did completely skim the last 7% 。。。more

Yay Loxley Savage! This book was another great installment of the Mafia Wars shared universe。 Valentina is an awesome FMC! She is the youngest girl in the series who is being forced into marriage (18) and in some ways it shows, although she has her reasons。 She has been kept mostly in the dark by both her dad and brothers, away from the Mafia business and what they do。 This does lead her to be a bit naive in the first part of the book。 It's different to the others in the series, as you get a lot Yay Loxley Savage! I think this is the darkest of all the books so far。 It's made that way because while Salvatore has always hated Carlo Rossi, it becomes worse after Carlo devastates him in the first pages of this book。Now Carlo Rossi started the discussion to end the wars between the family and it looks like he's ignoring it at a family wedding when he allows Valentina to dance with his friend's son Marco Capelli。 He struck me as a bit of a creep during that dance and even more so later on。We see the Moretti br I think this is the darkest of all the books so far。 It's made that way because while Salvatore has always hated Carlo Rossi, it becomes worse after Carlo devastates him in the first pages of this book。Now Carlo Rossi started the discussion to end the wars between the family and it looks like he's ignoring it at a family wedding when he allows Valentina to dance with his friend's son Marco Capelli。 He struck me as a bit of a creep during that dance and even more so later on。We see the Moretti brothers at their sister Lily's wedding in Mexico as brief as that is。The way Valentina is brought to Chicago also differs from the other books。 She's escorted by security from the grounds of her school after she sees her car being towed away。Her first encounter with the Moretti's is with the twins, Armani and Fausto。 It's not the most pleasant of meetings, as they pretty much tell her to do as they say, when they say it with no arguments。 It's Salvatore who bursts all the bubbles as he's the one to inform her of the treaty。 The one that promised her to them once she turned eighteen。 The betrayal by her family is just the tip of this iceburg, as she realizes she is indeed their possession。Now Salvatore is trying to figure out why Alfonzo Capelli is stealing his shipments and he isn't very pleasant about it。 He intends to get more information from Val。 It does quite work the way he thinks, and he leaves her alone for the rest of the night。The next morning, Armani tries to initiate a conversation without intimidating her。 Unfortunately, Fausto joins them and jumps right into the subject。The big problem here is she doesn't mention Marco and all the trouble he's causing her。 She does eventually but in the process, Sal humiliates her, quite the opposite of her reaction to the twins。There is a lot going on in this book, Violence as well as many secrets, and a bit of betrayal as well。 Val wins over the twins long before Salvatore, and there are many seriously sizzling scenes with them。I couldn't put this book down and I can't wait for the next book in this multi-author series。 。。。more

I'm not sure about everyone else but I'm really enjoying the Mafia Wars series and Wilted Orchid was no exception。 Valentina Rossi is the youngest of the six daughters that were promised, and the reason why everyone had to wait so long since the treaty was formalised。 She wasn't told by her father what was going to happen, there is literally no warning for her at all。 Val is kidnapped from school and taken to her new 'family' and the whole situation for her is heartbreaking。We have the three bro I'm not sure about everyone else but I'm really enjoying the Mafia Wars series and Wilted Orchid was no exception。 Valentina Rossi is the youngest of the six daughters that were promised, and the reason why everyone had to wait so long since the treaty was formalised。 She wasn't told by her father what was going to happen, there is literally no warning for her at all。 Val is kidnapped from school and taken to her new 'family' and the whole situation for her is heartbreaking。We have the three brothers Fausto, Armani, and Salvatore (Sal for short)。 Whilst the first two may be flirtatious, Sal shows her nothing but hatred to the point he is just plain cruel to her。 I really felt for Val, she had her whole life planned only for it all to be ripped away from her and literally thrown to the sharks。 But whilst she is understandably scared, I mean who wouldn't be in that situation。There are a few other twists and turns going on in the story not just how Val needs to 'adjust' to life with the three brothers。 And I thoroughly enjoyed it。 I can't wait to see what else this wonderful selection of authors has to throw at us in the next book。 。。。more

My gosh I don’t want this to end I really don’t。 I want more mafia men we are almost to the end of this series and it is heartbreaking。 Wilted Orchard was written by Loxely Savage and it is is book 4 in the Mafia Wars series。 In this book we follow the youngest of the 6 girls who’s lives were traded just to end the war of all wars。 It’s sad honestly because up until her 18th birthday she didn’t know that her life was traded to end the mafia wars。 She was the most innocent of them all。 Poor Valen My gosh I don’t want this to end I really don’t。 I want more mafia men we are almost to the end of this series and it is heartbreaking。 Wilted Orchard was written by Loxely Savage and it is is book 4 in the Mafia Wars series。 In this book we follow the youngest of the 6 girls who’s lives were traded just to end the war of all wars。 It’s sad honestly because up until her 18th birthday she didn’t know that her life was traded to end the mafia wars。 She was the most innocent of them all。 Poor Valentina didn’t know what she was being thrown into with the Morreti men。 It was hard for her being with one of the rival mafias。 We could see that to the Morreti men she was the enemy even though she was so young。 Even given that, Valentina was not going to stand down and be the scared little lamb when confronted by the big bad wolves。 She had strength with her words she gave them a run for their money so to speak。 She wasn’t going to be put down even if she was just barely 18。 This was a great read and I really loved how the story unfolded。 Loxely did a great job in developing these four characters and showing that even with so much hate you can love。 。。。more

My heartThis book was everything a mafia is, but man my heart broke several times for Valentina throughout this story。 Sal had major issues and there was plenty of times I wanted to throw my Kindle across the room and played out his death in my mind several times。 Fausto and Armani were definitely boyfriend goals。 The ending made everything so much better and worth the read。

Wilted Orchid took a different turn than the other stories in this shared mafia world。 In previous books we don't get much of a look into what the girls life was like before they were married off。 I really enjoyed getting a peek into Valentina's life as it added more context and allowed us to truly understand how she's feeling。 It is also the first one where the FMC is not named after a flower, although the orchid does has some significance。 Valentina is one of the youngest of the mafia brides b Wilted Orchid took a different turn than the other stories in this shared mafia world。 In previous books we don't get much of a look into what the girls life was like before they were married off。 I really enjoyed getting a peek into Valentina's life as it added more context and allowed us to truly understand how she's feeling。 It is also the first one where the FMC is not named after a flower, although the orchid does has some significance。 Valentina is one of the youngest of the mafia brides but although she is aware of things her brothers and father get up to she lives a very sheltered life。 She grows up in a different state, far removed from the mafia lifestyle which means she doesn't understand it fully。 This makes her more independent than the Moretti's believe her to be which I also really enjoyed about her character。 She is also more innocent and lonely, only having a few people around her in her life。 I really felt for her being unable to make any sort of connection with people。 In addition, Valentina has no idea of the treaty at all, no idea that at any moment her life is about to change when she turns 18。 Sal had me raging with anger the entire time, the way he is with Valentina when she arrives just had me disliking him from the start。 But I really enjoyed the twist that Loxley Savage pulled with his character and the treaty situation。 I won't elaborate much but it really highlighted the unfairness of this treaty being forced on the men as well as the girls。 Armani is my favourite, he's dangerous but he's also sweet and caring。 After reading Lily's story I knew I would like this character the most out of the brothers。 Fausto seemed to be the right combination of Armani and Sal's personalities which just completed their dynamic well。 In Wilted Orchid we understand more that it's not just the girls' who's lives are being turned upside down and sacrificed。 None of the children have any control or say in their own lives。 A wonderful read which compliments the shared the mafia world series。 。。。more

grayscaleThis stand-alone series set has been an epic ride in the making。 Wilted orchid is on the lighter side of the darkness rage from the other books in the series so far。 It still encompasses the dark and violent scenes that you expect from a mafia series。 Val is on the younger ages for the MFCs of this series and is written in that way that is perfect for a girl of 17/18 years old in her situation。

Wilted Orchid is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars shared world。 Again, these do not have to be read in order as they are all standalones within a shared world。 I have absolutely loved this world so far。 I have to be honest and say that this book had a whole different feel for me though。 This is the first book I have read by this author and I don't know if the writing style just isn't for me or if it was the age of the heroine in this one。 I still enjoyed the overall story, I just didn't connect Wilted Orchid is the fourth book in the Mafia Wars shared world。 Again, these do not have to be read in order as they are all standalones within a shared world。 I have absolutely loved this world so far。 I have to be honest and say that this book had a whole different feel for me though。 This is the first book I have read by this author and I don't know if the writing style just isn't for me or if it was the age of the heroine in this one。 I still enjoyed the overall story, I just didn't connect with this book like the others。 This book focuses on Valentina from the Cosa Nostra。 She is to be married into the Outfit: Salvatore, Fausto & Armani。 Valentina is the daughter of Carlo Rossi and she was the baby of all the girls。 She is the reason they had to wait ten years to put their plan into action。 She has absolutely no clue what is awaiting her as she has been kept in the dark about most mafia things her whole life。 She's very sheltered and young。 There were some moments where her internal dialog was hilarious。 Other times where I just shook my head。 That's where some of the disconnect comes for me。 She had some very immature and childish moments。 The guys, let's start with Salvatore since he is the head of the family。 Salvatore has some serious hate for the Rossi family and he is very entitled to that hate。 That makes him start off with Val as a complete monster。 He does change his tune during the book, of course, but it's hard to come back from some of the things he does。 It's also a weird flow to his moods。 Very flip floppy。 Then we have the twins, Fausto and Armani。 The very first day you want to hate them as well but they very quickly show you a different side。 They become her confidants in her new world and help her cope with everything she goes through。 Overall, yes I liked the story。 Still the mafia world。 Still had darkness, the twists, the sexy times。 The twins have some kinks。 So yes, I still recommend the book。 It has an overall different vibe than the rest of the books we have seen so far but still worth the read。 Definitely some triggers so if you have some of those, check the warnings before diving in。 Super excited to see where the next book takes us。 。。。more

Absolute perfection I absolutely loved this book。  Val has been sheltered from the family business all her life and at 18 is married off to a rival family in order to keep peace。 Throughout the book I laughed out loud hysterically, screamed in frustration, and had tears in my eyes。  It was absolute perfection。

These Mafia Wars books have so far been four of my favorite books of the year。 I love how each stand alone story is so different, yet with the same or similar themes。 The stand out difference here is the FMC's age, Valentina has literally just turned 18 and has NO idea about the pact, her part in it or what the hell is going on。 She's lived away from her father and brothers and has pretty much been looking after herself, except for the housekeeper and every mod con she could literally ever want!
