Teaching 6th graders is blast, in more ways than one。 After having a student fart during an entire standardized test and chuckling, I found this book at Walmart。 It made me laugh, so I bought and read it to my classes。 They thought it was dorky and hilarious! So many smiles across the room (under masks, but I could tell) and requests to hear it again。 Not something that usually happens with a children's book in 6th grade, so I gave it 5 stars。 Teaching 6th graders is blast, in more ways than one。 After having a student fart during an entire standardized test and chuckling, I found this book at Walmart。 It made me laugh, so I bought and read it to my classes。 They thought it was dorky and hilarious! Having been given this book as a present for my three year old, it would have been rude to not accept it。 I accepted it reluctantly。 What has become of Children’s literature? How are these people calling themselves authors when they are producing this puerile and tasteless muck? No imagination, no creativity and just cheap nasty content。 What’s happened to our proper authors? Not people on TV or people married to ‘celebrities’ looking for a cheap line of revenue。 Our kids deserve better than this dross。 。。。more

A great book to show “everything” or everyone (if using for a lesson) needs a friend。 I am sure my grandson will love this new addition to the library。 After all it is what little boys like to talk about

Tessa

Cute in a kinda gross way。 I feel like this would be a book little boys would like。 A story of a fart who realizes that most people don’t like him finds a friend。 Illustrations are adorable and the story is a good lesson that not everyone will like you for you, but you’ll always find someone that will。

Kathy

Ohhh, kids of all ages will love this book! Fart is on a mission to find a friend but everyone he tries to befriend has colorful words for him。 Will he ever find a friend? Be sure to read this and get ready for lots of laughs。

Reflections and lessons learned:I believe that it was Seneca that once said “there’s nothing funnier than a fart。。。”。 There’s a prude in me that hates the very word, to the point where this was going to be a family listen but I couldn’t bring myself to it! The notion however will always be funny and my uptight approach doesn’t negate the irony of that。 This was a carry over from listening to my first Blake book the other week, and it is true that it is a normal human function, something that sho Reflections and lessons learned:I believe that it was Seneca that once said “there’s nothing funnier than a fart。。。”。 There’s a prude in me that hates the very word, to the point where this was going to be a family listen but I couldn’t bring myself to it! No One Likes A Fart is a children's picture book that is unique and humorous。 It will make its readers laugh, no matter what age。 It is a story about a character, Fart, who is a green cloud that floats around looking to find a friend。 But, everywhere that Fart went he was called disgusting, which made it seem nearly impossible to find a friend。 This is an excellent book for teaching its readers about a journey of perspective and friendship。 This picture book’s colorful illustrations puts a cheer No One Likes A Fart is a children's picture book that is unique and humorous。 It will make its readers laugh, no matter what age。 It is a story about a character, Fart, who is a green cloud that floats around looking to find a friend。 But, everywhere that Fart went he was called disgusting, which made it seem nearly impossible to find a friend。 This is an excellent book for teaching its readers about a journey of perspective and friendship。 This picture book’s colorful illustrations puts a cheery perspective on something we, as humans, would usually find gross and unwanted and it may change how we see even the most humble farts。 tIn the classroom, this book could be used as an entertaining read aloud that can be just for fun。 It could also be used in lessons on friendship and in how there is someone out there for everyone, despite our differences, if only we chose to look at things from a different point of view。 This book’s vocabulary and language could also be used in a lesson or activity for students, perhaps to be used in writing prompts or to point out rhymes used in the book。 I recommend this book for younger grades, particularly for preschoolers to first graders。 。。。more
