A pretty good Nat Sec thriller series; I see it’s going to become a TV movie。 In this one， dual narrative time lines as the young and experienced Gentry battle the same terrorist 12 years apart as the terrorist reprises the same scheme。 The gimmick is that the younger Gentry， used to working alone， is integrated into a CIA ground force team; cultural and personal conflict ensues。 I’m not sure the trick of using a bike tire as an improvised scuba tank would work but hey！

I always wait impatiently for the latest Gray Man book to be released。 This eleventh book in the series will be available February 15， 2022， and the wait is worth it。 This book essentially contains two complete plots with one taking place in the present and the other one twelve years ago。 I think these would have made two books easily and， speaking only for myself， I would have been just fine with that。 One plot gives us great insights into how Court found himself a member of the Sierra Golf gro I always wait impatiently for the latest Gray Man book to be released。 This eleventh book in the series will be available February 15， 2022， and the wait is worth it。 This book essentially contains two complete plots with one taking place in the present and the other one twelve years ago。 I think these would have made two books easily and， speaking only for myself， I would have been just fine with that。 One plot gives us great insights into how Court found himself a member of the Sierra Golf group - as Six。 We've been learning bits and pieces about Six throughout this series and it was very interesting to see how Mark Greaney handled the emergency integration of Gentry into a battle savvy cohesive unit。 The present-day plot shows Gentry that his mission twelve years ago did not end as he thought it had and there is still work to be done to finalize the situation。I really like the Court Gentry character and enjoyed these two stories。 I especially liked the plot line in this book that had Court going back in time so I could watch the development of his character and his skills in his field of expertise。 More along those lines would suit me just fine Mr。 Greaney。Thank you to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for an e-galley of this novel。 。。。more

Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing Group for the digital advance copy of this book for review。 After 10 Gray Man novels we finaly get an origin story on Courty Gentry and what an origin story it is。 The story is told in two parts， one in the current day with Court chasing down a man he presumed dead and the other 12 years earlier on his first mission as Sierra Six。 With plenty of action， drama and emotion this is one of the best Gray man novels to date

When you really enjoy a series and can’t get enough of the protagonist， even when the author is generous enough to write new books annually， the best tale to arrive is an origin story。 Especially one that is deftly wrapped up in a current caper with a twisty， racing-the-clock plot。 SIERRA SIX is just that book。 Author Mark Greaney gifts us with twin tales about the Gray Man， before he earned that moniker; when he was first known as Violator and then as Sierra Six。 Before he was a legend， he was When you really enjoy a series and can’t get enough of the protagonist， even when the author is generous enough to write new books annually， the best tale to arrive is an origin story。 Especially one that is deftly wrapped up in a current caper with a twisty， racing-the-clock plot。 SIERRA SIX is just that book。 Author Mark Greaney gifts us with twin tales about the Gray Man， before he earned that moniker; when he was first known as Violator and then as Sierra Six。 Before he was a legend， he was a 25 year old and much about the world at large was unknown to him。Greaney’s skills as a writer include an incredible ability to pace out a hunt/destroy scene and make it come alive with the fear， tension and sheer terror that a thriller demands。 He doesn’t just describe the setting， weapons and people involved in the battle; he places the reader right in the middle of it。 This is a hard book to put down once begun; it’s just that good。 I read it all in one weekend and it was a wild ride， not to be missed。 I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley。 。。。more
