Jaw dropping and very intense from beginning to end。 I was amazed at how much I liked this book。 It was a quick read for me as I couldn’t put it down。。 Action packed all the way， these characters felt real to me

4。5This novel will grab you from the start with a shocking opening scene。 I couldn't stop reading and was continually surprised by this narrative。 What I appreciated was that these surprises fit with the plot and nothing seemed excessively outrageous and unbelievable。 In Jason Bennett， Lisa Scottoline creates a character we can sympathize with as he deals with tragedy and betrayal。 All the action and observations/thoughts are told from Jason's point of view。 He is likeable and plausible as a lov 4。5This novel will grab you from the start with a shocking opening scene。 I couldn't stop reading and was continually surprised by this narrative。 What I appreciated was that these surprises fit with the plot and nothing seemed excessively outrageous and unbelievable。 In Jason Bennett， Lisa Scottoline creates a character we can sympathize with as he deals with tragedy and betrayal。 All the action and observations/thoughts are told from Jason's point of view。 He is likeable and plausible as a loving father and husband。 The action is non-stop， the writing fluid and I had no idea what to expect from page to page。 I would recommend this to anyone who likes fast paced action and family dramas。 Thank you to NetGalley for the advance copy of this book。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Wow， another fast-paced thriller from Lisa Scottoline！The Bennetts are a normal suburban family， both parents own their companies， the kids are active in school and sports。 They live in a nice neighborhood with plenty of friends。 Then one day， coming home from a sporting event， the family is carjacked and two people are left dead。 Within hours， the Bennetts' normal lives are turned upside down and the race is on to find the killers and regain their lives。 As usual for this author， there is a bit Wow， another fast-paced thriller from Lisa Scottoline！The Bennetts are a normal suburban family， both parents own their companies， the kids are active in school and sports。 They live in a nice neighborhood with plenty of friends。 Then one day， coming home from a sporting event， the family is carjacked and two people are left dead。 Within hours， the Bennetts' normal lives are turned upside down and the race is on to find the killers and regain their lives。 As usual for this author， there is a bit of legalese thrown in， instead of a lawyer in the story， Jason， the husband/father is a court reporter， and also is a man who goes above and beyond for his family。 It was a well-written， quick read with enough twists to keep even the most astute reader guessing。Thanks to the author， publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book， but my opinions are my own。 。。。more

I won a free copy of this on Goodreads and I am so happy I did。 Although it was on my list， I wouldn’t have read it as soon as I did。 I could not put this well-written thriller down because of the many twists and turns。 It kept me wanting to know what happened next。 This is the second of her books I have read and I enjoyed them both。 Looking forward to another of her books。
