In Oh， the Thinks You Can Think ， Dr。Seuss writes about the power of imagination。 Each page is crafted around the idea of "the things you can think" including gloves， snubs， light， bright and stairs in the night。 This book is engaging and fun。 The illustrations are detailed， colourful and hilarious， complimenting each page well。 Dr。Seuss takes a lot of creative liberties。。。making up words and playing with phrases which makes this book very silly。 I wouldn't say that it is a literary classic but In Oh， the Thinks You Can Think ， Dr。Seuss writes about the power of imagination。 Each page is crafted around the idea of "the things you can think" including gloves， snubs， light， bright and stairs in the night。 This book is engaging and fun。 The illustrations are detailed， colourful and hilarious， complimenting each page well。 Dr。Seuss takes a lot of creative liberties。。。making up words and playing with phrases which makes this book very silly。 I wouldn't say that it is a literary classic but it is a silly and light read that will make young ones laugh。 。。。more

This poetic book begins by asking the reader to think of simple， familiar things such as colors and animals。 It then begins to ask readers to think more complicated， creative， less concrete thoughts。 Through detailed descriptions， the book eventually invites the reader to imagine completely fictional， abstract characters and ideas。 With the use of various rhymes and puns， this book provides a spirited introduction to some very fundamental questions in life such as: How do our minds work and diff This poetic book begins by asking the reader to think of simple， familiar things such as colors and animals。 It then begins to ask readers to think more complicated， creative， less concrete thoughts。 Through detailed descriptions， the book eventually invites the reader to imagine completely fictional， abstract characters and ideas。 With the use of various rhymes and puns， this book provides a spirited introduction to some very fundamental questions in life such as: How do our minds work and differ from one another？ Where do thoughts come from？ What is physically possible vs。 merely conceivable？ I find the word choice within this text to be very amusing and enjoyable to read as well as seriously thought-provoking。 There is no doubt in my mind that Dr。 Seuss was aiming to inspire children to think for themselves and develop a deep level of consciousness when writing this one。 This book could be a great conversation starter about topics such as language， art， thoughts and more。 I think it would be great to hold a class discussion and/or do a writing or drawing exercise after reading this together as a class。 It would also be a great addition to the core bookshelf for my readers to return to whenever they'd like。 I think this would be appropriate for 1-2 grade and possibly a bit above as well。 。。。more
