Fun, easy read for young kids and introduces them to rhymes

As part of teaching my son to read, we are reading the Dr。 Seuss collection together。 He reads the words he knows and I'm helping introduce new words and supporting with the concepts of rhyming and recognizing how words are structured。 This was the first book that we started with after some preliminary consonant-vowel-consonant lessons。 He did really well。 As part of teaching my son to read, we are reading the Dr。 Seuss collection together。 He reads the words he knows and I'm helping introduce new words and supporting with the concepts of rhyming and recognizing how words are structured。 This was the first book that we started with after some preliminary consonant-vowel-consonant lessons。 He did really well。 。。。more

I think this book was good, but there are definitely better Dr。 Seuss books。 This book, I think is good for children who are learning how to put words into sentences and how to pronounce words and obviously to teach kids what words rhyme with each other。 This is personally not one of my favorite Dr。 Suess books。

I really enjoyed reading this Dr Seuss book to my toddler。 Loads of short words, colourful illustrations and simple rhyming phrases。

This book is one of the more fun books that Dr。 Seuss worked on, because it mixes weird rhymes with nonsense poetry to provide something a little bit different。 It stood out to me as being one of the more fun ones, mostly ‘cause it’s super random。

M quotes this book like it’s Chapelle Show all day long 😄。 My MiL suggested it bc of the rhyme and cadence being really good for pre-readers。

Regina Walker

Rhymes galore, which we all love Dr。 Seuss for。Good read for early readers working on cvc words。

This was probably one of my favorite Dr。 Seuss books growing up。 It brings so much forgotten nostalgia, my mom must've read this to me a million times。 Perfect way to learn how to rhyme。 I can definitely see the similarities of the bizarre-looking characters to ones from The Grinch :) This was probably one of my favorite Dr。 Seuss books growing up。 It brings so much forgotten nostalgia, my mom must've read this to me a million times。 Perfect way to learn how to rhyme。 I can definitely see the similarities of the bizarre-looking characters to ones from The Grinch :) 。。。more

Foolish fun that hides some useful lessons on ordering, prepositions, pronouns, rhyme and much more。 The vignettes that comprise the book don’t hang together to make much of a narrative, and the artwork isn’t what you’d expect compared to Seuss’ later Lorax years, but the book is a winner with the early toddler set。 Mine in particular loves yelling “get out my tent bear!” - read it to discover what he’s “referencing。”

Very enjoyable and entertaining for children and adults。

A great first-reader for young readers, especially when Papa (grandfather - me) is reading it with them!
