Summary

Au revoir, Pluto! In this newly revised, bestselling backlist title, beginning readers and budding astronomers are launched on a wild trip to visit the now eight planets in our solar system (per the International Astronomical Union’s 2006 decision to downgrade Pluto from a planet to a dwarf planet), along with the Cat in the Hat, Thing One, Thing Two, Dick, and Sally。 It’s a reading adventure that’s out of this world!

Home schooling can be a challenge when the children are all different ages and learning the same thing。 I'm buying a Christmas package of a telescope and space books for my sister who is home schooling ages 4 to 13。 While the Space Atlas is perfect for the oldest, what can I get for the youngest so they aren't feeling left out?Enter Cat in the Hat Learning Library "There's No Place Like Space!" It's simple rhymes and language starts the building blocks for the youngest to feel like they are invo Home schooling can be a challenge when the children are all different ages and learning the same thing。 I'm buying a Christmas package of a telescope and space books for my sister who is home schooling ages 4 to 13。 While the Space Atlas is perfect for the oldest, what can I get for the youngest so they aren't feeling left out?Enter Cat in the Hat Learning Library "There's No Place Like Space!" The book itself is nothing less of educational。 This sequel of "The Cat in the Hat" involves the cat, of course, and the two children that are included in the original story。 The cat takes the children out to space to learn about the eight planets。 Yes, this is a revised version from the 2006 discovery。 The information included about the eight planets is very descriptive。 Mars is described as "dusty"。。。 Saturn is described as "light in weight" and so on。 Not only does the book list the eight pla The book itself is nothing less of educational。 This sequel of "The Cat in the Hat" involves the cat, of course, and the two children that are included in the original story。 The cat takes the children out to space to learn about the eight planets。 Yes, this is a revised version from the 2006 discovery。 The information included about the eight planets is very descriptive。 Mars is described as "dusty"。。。 Saturn is described as "light in weight" and so on。 Not only does the book list the eight planets, but includes the information for each one that gives kids an idea of the characteristics of each planet。 I love the poetry included in the book to make it fun to read。 It is very educational for young children, especially those learning about astronomy。 。。。more

Great early primer on our solar system for kids。

Perfect book for young kids to learn about space! Loved it!

It was alright。 Definitely think the original Dr。 Seuss books are the best。 There were some rhymes that were a bit off or not that strong。 But a great way to learn about the planets (minus the trick they teach about how to remember the order。。。 That was bad, hahaha)

Lovely。 Super accurate and insightful for the new reader。

There's No Place Like Space: All About Our Solar System by Tish Rabe is a poetry book that is intended for an audience between the ages of five and nine, it was published October 26, 1999。 This book features the famous Cat in the Hat that Dr。 Seuss had created, and it teaches children all about the solar system。 The book gives a brief description about each planet, constellations, and the sun。 I rated this book five stars because I really like that even though it is not written by Dr。 Seuss it s There's No Place Like Space: All About Our Solar System by Tish Rabe is a poetry book that is intended for an audience between the ages of five and nine, it was published October 26, 1999。 This book features the famous Cat in the Hat that Dr。 Seuss had created, and it teaches children all about the solar system。 The book gives a brief description about each planet, constellations, and the sun。 I rated this book five stars because I really like that even though it is not written by Dr。 Seuss it still has the same rhyming that you always happen to see with The Cat in the Hat。 I really like this book because it is informative as well as fun for the children。 This book would be very appealing to young readers not only because out the bright and eye-catching illustrations, but also the short rhymes for each planet, stars, and the sun。 I would use this book when working with children during a science lesson because it teaches them all about the solar system。 The children would very easily remember the location of the planets and be able to describe what they are like because of these short riddles。 。。。more

I love The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That! series。 It has accurate information in bite-sized pieces for the littlest minds to start absorbing。 Outer space is a topic we come back to visit often。 This is just a fun, quick and informative book to sprinkle into the reading pile。 As your child gets older, it is also a good format to ask questions back to them to see how much they are really understanding and retaining。

I think this is a great book to read to students when introducing the solar system。 It has a few interesting facts about the planets。 It would definitely get the students intrigued。

I guess it works as an introduction。 The rhyming isn't paced well。 I've read more interesting picture books about the planets recently。 I guess it works as an introduction。 The rhyming isn't paced well。 I've read more interesting picture books about the planets recently。 。。。more

There no Place Like space is an educational rhyming Dr。Seuss classic。 It makes learning all about space, planets, and the solar system fun。 It includes all of the basic facts kids need to know when it comes to earth, and sun, and plenty of other planets in the solar system。 It also includes a few pages about the night sky and stars。 I never read this as a child, but not reading it makes me wish I did。 Dr。Seuss books are classics, and this one goes over the top。

Lots of good info about space presented in a fun, rhyming format。 Modern enough to show only 8 planets, but not modern enough to show any people of color in the text。 I'd like to see that fixed。 My kindergartener and preschooler enjoyed it。 Lots of good info about space presented in a fun, rhyming format。 Modern enough to show only 8 planets, but not modern enough to show any people of color in the text。 I'd like to see that fixed。 My kindergartener and preschooler enjoyed it。 。。。more

Fine, but too short! Would have liked something about the asteroid belt, Pluto, etc。 Probably age-appropriate, but given the basics of the data for all the planets, there's not really any reason why it couldn't have been a few pages longer。 Fine, but too short! Very informative for kids, great artwork and storyline, Cat in the Hat takes two kids, along with Thing One and Thing Two on a space ship and shows them the closest 9 planets。

The Cat in the Hat has done it again! We love this book。 Makes learning about the planets fun!

This is a great book about space even though it leaves Pluto off the list of planets。 I don't know that I'll ever be able to learn a planet remembering song that doesn't begin with "My Very Educated Mother。。。" but the 8 planet version in this book is acceptable。 Great illustrations and rhymes I'm the style of Dr。 Seuss make for a book that I'll be happy to read time and time again with my near five year old son。 This is a great book about space even though it leaves Pluto off the list of planets。 I don't know that I'll ever be able to learn a planet remembering song that doesn't begin with "My Very Educated Mother。。。" but the 8 planet version in this book is acceptable。 Great illustrations and rhymes I'm the style of Dr。 Seuss make for a book that I'll be happy to read time and time again with my near five year old son。 。。。more
