I loved this book about Lucy， an orphan who only had one hand， and a tracker， Alec， who was raised by the Cheyenne when they found him as a baby。 Since Alec looked more white than Indian， he was sent to live in Fairplay when he was old enough to live on his own but the white people didn't accept him either so he lived there a lonely man。 When wolves started raiding ranches near town， Lincoln hired Alec to protect his ranch from the wolves and they became friends。 Lincoln's wife was Miriam who wa I loved this book about Lucy， an orphan who only had one hand， and a tracker， Alec， who was raised by the Cheyenne when they found him as a baby。 Since Alec looked more white than Indian， he was sent to live in Fairplay when he was old enough to live on his own but the white people didn't accept him either so he lived there a lonely man。 When wolves started raiding ranches near town， Lincoln hired Alec to protect his ranch from the wolves and they became friends。 Lincoln's wife was Miriam who was friends with Lucy since they grew up in the orphanage together before moving to Fairplay。 After visiting Miriam， Lucy was riding a horse home when wolves spooked it into throwing Lucy off。 Alec rescued Lucy and took her back to Miriam's home with a sprained ankle。 After that encounter， Lucy and Alec became friends who fell in love。 The story was exciting with all that happened because of wolf attacks and an abusive man stalking Lucy。 I highly recommend this book for a clean romance and interesting characters。 I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review。 。。。more
