Great new series！！I truly enjoyed this。 A fresh new take on the Paranormal and all its wonder。 The world building was informative， but not overwhelming and the characters meshed well together。 There's a decent bit left over for subsequent books， but this one was tied together nicely and finished on a non cliffhanger note that leaves you wanting more。 Well， it may be a little bit cliffhanger， but not so much you want to strangle an author。 Please pick it up and enjoy it as much as I did。 Great new series！！I truly enjoyed this。 A fresh new take on the Paranormal and all its wonder。 The world building was informative， but not overwhelming and the characters meshed well together。 There's a decent bit left over for subsequent books， but this one was tied together nicely and finished on a non cliffhanger note that leaves you wanting more。 Well， it may be a little bit cliffhanger， but not so much you want to strangle an author。 Please pick it up and enjoy it as much as I did。 。。。more

4。5 StarsI loved this！！！ I have enjoyed some of Kelly St。 Clare's other series， but this was truly so well done。 The writing was great， I adored the characters， and finished this is one sitting。 Sometimes series like this can be a bit cheesy， but this was amazing。 It was emotional， has a slow burn， interesting plot， is perfectly paced， made me giggle at times， and has lovely characters。 I'm already so excited to read the next book in the series。Wow， it's so much harder to write reviews for books 4。5 StarsI loved this！！！ I have enjoyed some of Kelly St。 Clare's other series， but this was truly so well done。 The writing was great， I adored the characters， and finished this is one sitting。 Sometimes series like this can be a bit cheesy， but this was amazing。 It was emotional， has a slow burn， interesting plot， is perfectly paced， made me giggle at times， and has lovely characters。 I'm already so excited to read the next book in the series。Wow， it's so much harder to write reviews for books that are great。 First， I'll start with the world building。 Its very well done。 I love the concept of descendants from Roman gods and goddesses。 Cerys herself is from the Venus line， so her powers are surrounding love。 Hence， her match making business。 3 years prior she was cursed to live without love， so she's been obsessively dating men to basically "loosen" the curse。 She started not being able to look at a hot guy， but progressed to being able to at least get them in her bedroom。 Cerys runs the match making business with her best friend， a siren named Soleil （sp？）， who is also such a lovable character。 As the description basically says， Cerys runs into some trouble and keeps crossing paths with a brooding detective， Devereaux （aka Dev）。 I totally love Dev and Cerys together。 The build up between the two is super super slow burn。 That's one of my minor （super minor） complaints though - I wish there was a little more spice in this。 I literally didn't want this to end， and was sad when I finished without having a little more progress between the two。 I'm so excited to see how their relationship builds。The plot is amazing too。 There are a ton of shady things happening - cases Dev is investigating， someone is digging up Venus descendent graves， and Cerys is being hunted by someone。 There's more around Soleil's feathers， and her family as well。 And it may all be connected。 It's a lot going on， and is admittedly hard to keep straight at times， but it's absolutely holding my interest。 One reason I can’t rate this 5 stars - the explanation/differences between the different “generations” was super confusing。 I still don’t understand the difference between a heart elemental， a Cupid and a maiden。 I think they are all part of the Venus line， but I’m not sure how it all fits。 Same with some of the other creatures， like whatever Dev is。 I still highly recommend this book， and will be eagerly awaiting the next addition to the series！！！ 。。。more

Cupid 💘 cuteness！！Oh I have nothing but love for this darling Cupid！ Cerys is a breath of fresh air in a world of angst filled fantasy stories available at the minute - I usually switch to contemporary romance for a change so I loved this！！！ This author always brings her readers something different and this new series is already a new favourite for me！ Can’t wait for book two and more of these fabulous characters。 Five stars ⭐️

4 1/2 starsI'm already a fan of this writer but I can safely say that this is her best book since Blood Trial （another supernatural series） with immense humor and world building。 I'm sure that almost all of the reviews will mention how you will be laughing out loud from the first chapter， well it's true。 This book about Cerys and her bestie （a mystical fury） running a magical dating agency in a world of supernatural creatures influenced by the gods， was so much fun and had me smiling throughout 4 1/2 starsI'm already a fan of this writer but I can safely say that this is her best book since Blood Trial （another supernatural series） with immense humor and world building。 I'm sure that almost all of the reviews will mention how you will be laughing out loud from the first chapter， well it's true。 This book about Cerys and her bestie （a mystical fury） running a magical dating agency in a world of supernatural creatures influenced by the gods， was so much fun and had me smiling throughout the book。 I loved the characters from accident prone cursed Cerys to berserker detective Devereaux to all of the lovelorn clients。Two things impressed me and stood out to me with this book， it's focus on love and commitment and it's worldbuilding。 The love focus is a given because of her occupation but we see it in all of it's forms from arranged marriages， soul mates， broken hearts and the denial of it。 As an avid romance reader I've read paranormal/fantasy/shifter romances before but this one felt unique in it's exploration of companionship。 The other aspect that I appreciated so much was the world building。 St。 Clare does not just shove a bunch of creatures into the real world， she gives them their own space filled with magic charms， magical businesses， a hierarchy， language and characteristics。 It was on a level I haven't read in a while and immerses you into the book so much more。This book is a delight and I haven't even touched on the full plot and mystery that is connected to Cerys but that is another intriguing part of the book。 I would highly recommend this story to anyone who loves supernatural romances or fantasy sprinkled with humor and the beginning of a fantastic series。Spice level 6/10， ARC provided by author， opinions are my own 。。。more

3。5This was my first Kelly St。 Clare book and I enjoyed it a lot。 It walked the line between appreciably silly and roll your eyes ridiculous， and occasionally it did trip across the border。 But mostly I giggled a lot。 I liked the characters， world， and writing。I wish we were able to get to know Dev better。 He pretty much stayed a 'tall， dark， and brooding' cardboard cutout。 Some depth and color would have helped a lot in that department。 And the book is a cliffie。 Very little of anything really 3。5This was my first Kelly St。 Clare book and I enjoyed it a lot。 It walked the line between appreciably silly and roll your eyes ridiculous， and occasionally it did trip across the border。 But mostly I giggled a lot。 I liked the characters， world， and writing。I wish we were able to get to know Dev better。 He pretty much stayed a 'tall， dark， and brooding' cardboard cutout。 Some depth and color would have helped a lot in that department。 And the book is a cliffie。 Very little of anything really feels complete by the end。 So， I can't call it a 100% win。 But I look forward to getting to read book two in the future。 So， I'd call this more win than not。 。。。more

This book is pretty fun and quick read。 The concept of various magical creatures living in their own magical city and seeking love through a dating agency （i。e。 like Tinder or Match。com） is creative and funny。 Cerys is a snarky and fun main character， and the support characters provide balance and humor。 It is an incredibly fast-paced book and there are still a lot of questions to be answered in the future books。 Ironically for Kelly’s books， it is a clean read due to the fact that the main char This book is pretty fun and quick read。 The concept of various magical creatures living in their own magical city and seeking love through a dating agency （i。e。 like Tinder or Match。com） is creative and funny。 Cerys is a snarky and fun main character， and the support characters provide balance and humor。 It is an incredibly fast-paced book and there are still a lot of questions to be answered in the future books。 Ironically for Kelly’s books， it is a clean read due to the fact that the main character is cursed to not even feel attraction （physical or emotional） to the male population， which creates some hilarious situations for Cerys the Cupid – but there is hope that the curse will be broken in the future books so hopefully we’ll get a couple steamy scenes between Cerys and Detective Devereaux！ The only downside is I feel like some things were not fleshed out very well like the difference between a cupid and heart elemental， as well as some of the other magical species and classifications – I hope some of these things are elucidated in the future books。 If you are looking for a fun， easy read in a cool urban fantasy setting I recommend this book！ 。。。more
