I enjoyed this first book of the Orphaned Mail Order Bride series。 Miriam and Lucy were best friends at the orphanage where they grew up and looked out for each other。 When they were sold as mail order brides to ranchers in Fairplay， Colorado， they consoled each other that they would be living in the same town。 Lincoln， the rancher who bought Miriam， showed up when the girls arrived but he was cold and distant and in a rush to get home。 He wouldn't let her wait to see if the rancher for Lucy sho I enjoyed this first book of the Orphaned Mail Order Bride series。 Miriam and Lucy were best friends at the orphanage where they grew up and looked out for each other。 When they were sold as mail order brides to ranchers in Fairplay， Colorado， they consoled each other that they would be living in the same town。 Lincoln， the rancher who bought Miriam， showed up when the girls arrived but he was cold and distant and in a rush to get home。 He wouldn't let her wait to see if the rancher for Lucy showed up。 Lincoln had a housekeeper who was friendly， but Lincoln told Miriam she had to stay in the house and knit or sew or cook and clean which she hated doing。 She preferred doing things outside working with the animals or repairing fences。 This led to a stressful beginning to their relationship。 When Miriam disobeyed Lincoln by going outside after Lincoln left to see other ranchers， she found out what dangers Lincoln was trying to protect her from。 You will have to read the book to find out what happened to Miriam and if she and Lincoln ever married。 Also， the next book will be about Lucy and if she ever marries。 ​I recommend this wonderful book as a clean romance。 I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review。 。。。more
