Summary

Once, I was a broke college student。 Now, it seems I'm destined to rule as the Lightbringer--queen of the demon realm。 Except I have competition in the form of Orion, the Lord of Chaos。 Like me, he has been marked as a leader。 We can't keep our hands off each other, even if he swore an oath to kill me。

It seems we both want the same thing--the crown。 And in this battle of wills, only one of us will be left standing。

Rowan and Orion are back。 They have more hate and love for one another than can be described。 They have one journey through Hell and I mean that in several ways。 This was a great continuation and I can’t wait to see what happens in book 3!

An exciting continuationBook 2 in the Demon Queen Trials was an exciting continuation from book 1。 It was a non stop adventure, from start to finish, thoroughly compelling and almost impossible to put down。 There's plenty of action, lots of heat, both literally and figuratively, mysteries unwound and numerous betrayals。 Can't wait for Rowan to kick some more butt in the next one。 😊😍 An exciting continuationBook 2 in the Demon Queen Trials was an exciting continuation from book 1。 It was a non stop adventure, from start to finish, thoroughly compelling and almost impossible to put down。 There's plenty of action, lots of heat, both literally and figuratively, mysteries unwound and numerous betrayals。 Can't wait for Rowan to kick some more butt in the next one。 😊😍 。。。more

Good sequel to the series! I really enjoyed it! I honestly thought the plot was headed in a different direction but so glad it didn’t。 I liked Tammuz hope we see more of him in the next book and hope we get to see more into Orion’s past as well, that would be interesting。 I liked the character development from Rowan too and hope to see more of it in the next book! Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I love the intensity of C。N Crawford books。 The book is incredibly well written。 The questions surrounding who Rowan really is are answered in book 2 but there is so much more to learn。 What will happen between Rowan and Orion when certain facts come to light? When one secret is revealed you find there are so many more waiting to be exposed。 I can't wait to read the conclusion to this series。 There are so many variables, who knows what will happen? I’m going to be honest, < I have no idea why I start shit out this way。 I’m always honest in my reviews LAWD。 Anyways, I was a little lost on this one, not because it’s forgettable, far from it。 But I felt like it was suppose to pick up right he where book two left off。 But I found myself having to go back to book one a lot for references。 Maybe that’s just a me thing, but I did NOT want to miss out on any clues。 I freaking love Rowan, and her growth in this one is FANTASTIC! This book was not what I expected—but it was so much better! When we last saw Rowan, she had recently discovered her demon powers and, more importantly, that she had the mark of Lucifer。 Mortana also had this mark, so its presence meant not only was she destined to wear the demon crown, but it is more likely that she WAS Mortana。 The problem is that Orion also has the mark, and he wants to be King so he can seek revenge on everyone, including her。 So, City of Thorns ended with Rowan hiding in th This book was not what I expected—but it was so much better! I have followed this author for a while now—and have moved all upcoming books into “auto-buys。” This book is no exception。 I was given an ARC to review and, truthfully, I would have read it anyway。 What I love most about this series is how amazingly original it is。 I love the fact that Crawford takes such generic mythology—honestly who DOESN’T have a demon book out by now—and basically gives every trope involved the middle finger。 This world is one that is so artfully built that it lives and bre I have followed this author for a while now—and have moved all upcoming books into “auto-buys。” This book is no exception。 I was given an ARC to review and, truthfully, I would have read it anyway。 What I love most about this series is how amazingly original it is。 I love the fact that Crawford takes such generic mythology—honestly who DOESN’T have a demon book out by now—and basically gives every trope involved the middle finger。 This world is one that is so artfully built that it lives and breathes。 These characters dance right off the page—even the ones I love to hate。 Add that to an intriguing story, and this book is one that is an excellent addition to this series。 Read it。 Read it now。 。。。more

Wow! What can I say other than wow!!! This second installment was fantastic! So much banter between Orion & Rowan。 The tensions were high in this one - with Orion not believing Rowan & Rowan just trying to figure out who/what she is。What will happen? Can the blood oath be broken? Can Rowan learn her past? Can they survive? Chaos will ensue。
