This book was so good it hurt， but be forewarned the final chapters will rip the heart right out of your chest。 You will scream and cry and curse the heartless stars themselves， but it is totally worth it。 Can’t wait to see what the final book will bring！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I'm completely broken。 And yet I'm giving it 5 stars。。 I must be a masochist。HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD。Okay so here follows a review which I'm writing for my future self a year from now， to remind me of the shit show that was the ending。Max， Seth and Caleb are captured by Vard and being fed on by shadows。 Darcy is a shadowbeast， made by Lavinia who cursed her and she killed dozens of innocent people and is now on the run。 To free her from this curse， Orion made a deal with the shadow bitch， to be her I'm completely broken。 And yet I'm giving it 5 stars。。 I must be a masochist。HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD。Okay so here follows a review which I'm writing for my future self a year from now， to remind me of the shit show that was the ending。Max， Seth and Caleb are captured by Vard and being fed on by shadows。 Darcy is a shadowbeast， made by Lavinia who cursed her and she killed dozens of innocent people and is now on the run。 To free her from this curse， Orion made a deal with the shadow bitch， to be her prisoner/slave/whatever you wanna call it， for 3 mooncycles。Xavier's wings were ripped off by his asshole of a father， and he has shadow wounds， as does Geraldine。Gabriel is captured by Lionel， but thanks to the spin off， we know he'll survive， so yay for that。Darius is dead， Tory has just found him and cursed the stars for doing this to them。 The book ended with her receiving a prophecy from Gabriel。So that was fun。。 honestly the most horrible cliffhanger of suckiest cliffhangers。 The good thing is， future Jenny， when you're reading this， it means you're about to start book 8。 SO GO AND FREAKING ENJOY IT ❤❤❤ 。。。more

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG。 Get ready for a rant， ladies and gentlemen。Me when my sister asked me how the book was after I finished reading it:Every time I think that the cliffy in previous books was bad， Caroline and Susanne prove me wrong。I don’t think it’s ever been this bad。 MY POOR BABIES 😭😭😭😭I tried to read this book as slowly as possible to space it out and tried to wait before starting because any day I waited to start meant one less day I had to wait for ZA8。 But alas， I only lasted 17 hours b OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG。 Get ready for a rant， ladies and gentlemen。Me when my sister asked me how the book was after I finished reading it:Every time I think that the cliffy in previous books was bad， Caroline and Susanne prove me wrong。I don’t think it’s ever been this bad。 MY POOR BABIES 😭😭😭😭I tried to read this book as slowly as possible to space it out and tried to wait before starting because any day I waited to start meant one less day I had to wait for ZA8。 But alas， I only lasted 17 hours before starting this monolith。 And I knew once it started， I would finish it because this series is like crack。And all I have to say now that I’m done is， why？ Why are we being forced to suffer be tormented like playthings？ THIS IS NOT FAIR。When things were going relatively well for them until the 85% mark， I just got MORE AND MORE nervous because I knew shit was gonna go down in the last 15%。 and girl I was right。 I felt like I was being pummelled non-stop with no relief in sight。 SPOILERS BELOW 。。。。。。。。。。。。-My ships are sailing （they obviously crashed and died terribly by the end） but for a solid chunk of this book， they were sailing！ My heart rejoiced for all the relationships and heartful moments between the Dream Gang， or the Phoen Dream， Bitchy Flame Eyes， Wolfman， Bitey C， Fish Fury， Dragzilla， Professor Shame and Batty Betty。 I will never grow old of them growing closer。 Seth and Darcy are probably my favourite though and I just love how he pulls her away for ‘girl talks’ every time something happens between him and Caleb。-Dude， when Darcy and Orion became Elysian Mates I damn near shouted out loud。 I was like But then I thought， wait a minute… why are they allowed to be happy？ That can’t be right。Well， guess what， YOUR GIRL WAS RIGHT BECAUSE YOUR GIRL IS MORTAL NOW。 AND ORION IS – I CAN’T EVEN SAY IT OUT LOUD BECAUSE IT HURTS。 NO NO NO NO NO。 The entire scene with him and Lavinia I was just shouting nononononono in my head。 AND DARIUS MY BABY BOY。 -Painful ending aside， the boys REALLY pulled out their smooth lines games because I have a LOT of quotes for each pairing where I swooned。 But here’s just one for each pair: Darius & Tory “No， Roxy。 I just know what I want and it’s you。 In any way I can have you and every way you’ll offer。 So if I can get you to be my bride then I’ll fucking take it。 If you never want to get married， then I’ll take that too。 If you didn’t want me this close and all I was left with was the option to watch you and hunger for you from afar the way I had to when we were Star Crossed， then I’d take that as well。 It’s you， Roxy。 Only you。 So here I am and I’m yours。 The rest of it is up to you。” Gerry & Max “We are as unlikely as a fish and a dandelion finding truest love。”“Well this fish would grow legs and crawl from the water to sit with you， dandelion。”My throat bobbed and my fingers stilling in the dough。 “And what if the wind blows and my seeds take flight？” I murmured。 “Then I would grow wings and follow you to the moon，” he replied。 “Because nothing in this world means more to me than you do， Gerry。 And there are no differences we can’t overcome to be together。” Seth & Caleb I was fucking privileged to be Caleb Altair’s friend， and if that was all we were ever destined to be then that was enough for me。 Because I’d spent most of my life loving the moon without ever resting a paw on its surface。 So Caleb would be my new moon， my unreachable love hanging over me in the sky。 And I would show up to watch it night after night with no resentment in my heart， just a lone Wolf on a mountain， trying to get close enough to bathe in its light。 Orion & Darcy She was my destiny， and there was no two ways about that。 I would follow her so far into the light that I’d go blind， or so deep into the dark that I’d be lost forever。 -Also， I gotta say， that scene with Asscrux and the Shadow Bitch and that shadow baby has literally left me scarred for life。-Anyway， this book was filled with so much heart and love and I loved being able to meet back with my babies in Solaria again。 Wake me up when ZA8 comes。 I’ll be hibernating until then。In the spirit of Seth， 。。。more

Mixed feelings I need to get my feelings out on this one。 Nothing happens for the first 50% or so of this book。 No action， the story isn’t furthered at all until after the 50-60% stage。 This book should have only been 400- 500 pages。 It was a waste。 If the authors wanted a book this big they could have finished the series on book 7。 When I saw the page count I thought holy shit this book is gonna be packed with action etc… well I was soon disabused of that notion。 The fist half is the characters Mixed feelings I need to get my feelings out on this one。 Nothing happens for the first 50% or so of this book。 No action， the story isn’t furthered at all until after the 50-60% stage。 This book should have only been 400- 500 pages。 It was a waste。 If the authors wanted a book this big they could have finished the series on book 7。 When I saw the page count I thought holy shit this book is gonna be packed with action etc… well I was soon disabused of that notion。 The fist half is the characters all acting like they are in Zodiac Academy and don’t have a care in the world - the whole first half was just juvenile bullshit as if the impending war and possible destruction of the rebels and the girls meant nothing。 Darcy’s curse… why was none particularly cautious about this？ Ok Lance and Darcy go to the library and look for clues and I know there was some false hope， but it was like they just sort of didn’t think it was that important。 The same goes for the “thing” that was killing the Fae。 Nobody was particularly concerned about it。 The back and forth with Seth and Caleb was exhausting and the same goes for Geraldine and Max。 Get together or don’t。 It took up too much space in the book。 Lance at the end: I was pissed off at this point - this guy is constantly filming himself toward the worst possible fates where Blue is concerned and I understand they are it for each other and he loves her fiercely but I thought to myself why not give the two of them a break？？？ Both sisters have been through the ringer since they were born and no matter what they do they can’t win！ Lionel: this man is supposedly weak and got to where he is by cheating and lying his way to power and YET nobody can seem to beat him？？？ At the rate things went down in this book I’m almost rooting for Lavinia to beat them all。 In saying that we still get the drama and the laugh out loud moments but when the story lags for more than half the book you need to take a look and ask yourself why it’s being dragged out？ I’m not surprised this book was written in 6 weeks as it clearly shows。 。。。more
