‘Twas the season of Advent, when all through the earth,

In hopes that Christmastime soon would be there…

Prepare the way for the LORD。 Isaiah 40:3

Welcome to the wonderful season of Advent! Do you know what Advent means? It means ‘the arrival of a notable person, thing, or event’。 Advent is a time when we wait, and prepare for, and look forward to, the arrival of God’s son, Jesus。 But the word Advent is part of a bigger word, too。 Can you see it in the word Adventure?

A new book was published today just in time for the Advent season, ‘Twas the Season of Advent by Glenys Nellist。 This book is perfect for families with young children who want to bring a little bit more Bible into the days leading to Christmas。 The stories are short enough to keep the attention of young kids。 And early readers could help the parent read the story each day。 Children will become familiar with the Old and New Testament characters that we focus on in the church during this season。 T A new book was published today just in time for the Advent season, ‘Twas the Season of Advent by Glenys Nellist。 This book is perfect for families with young children who want to bring a little bit more Bible into the days leading to Christmas。 The stories are short enough to keep the attention of young kids。 And early readers could help the parent read the story each day。 Children will become familiar with the Old and New Testament characters that we focus on in the church during this season。 This book would pair very well with a chocolate Advent calendar! 。。。more
