In this beautifully illustrated story, Bear wants to have a feast for his friends, but his cupboard is bare。 Each of his friends brings food and he says "Thanks!" each time。 When Bear feels sad about not having any food to share, they tell Bear that he has something other than food that he can contribute。 Nice story in rhyme。 In this beautifully illustrated story, Bear wants to have a feast for his friends, but his cupboard is bare。 Each of his friends brings food and he says "Thanks!" each time。 When Bear feels sad about not having any food to share, they tell Bear that he has something other than food that he can contribute。 Nice story in rhyme。 。。。more

This book could be used in a classroom to teach students about manners。 It could also be utilized as an activity where students could bring something to share with the class。

3。5/5This is a children’s picture book about a bear and his wish to say Thanks to his friends but his fears about not having anything to contribute to the Thanksgiving dinner。

Vivienne

Although a delightful rhymed story that seems seasoned for Thanksgiving, it can be enjoyed anytime of the year。 Remembering to give thanks brings us together and each one has something good to share that can make things better for others。

True story。。。the first time I read this book was out of a box of Cheerios。 I felt instantly in love because all of the animals bring treats to share and Bear is sad because his cupboard is bare。 But the animals insist that they love his gift of telling stories。 This is just so sweet。。。everyone has talents to bring to the TABLE。

This is super cute! What a nice message of friendship and thankfulness! I’ve definitely felt like bear beforehand worried about not having things to offer but it’s so great when friends are happy to see you regardless。

Wilson brings us yet another Bear story。 This one is seasonal as it seems geared towards Thanksgiving。 Bear is bored and decides to have a feast。 But alas, his cupboards are bare。 Never fear, Mouse is here! With a pie! Then Hare, Owl, Crow, Mole and Badger all show up with more treats。 However, Bear is embarrassed that he has nothing to share。 The forest animals assure him that he can share his stories while they share their food。A good story for Thanksgiving/fall storytimes。

A little long for storytime, but I love all the Karma Wilson bear books, and sometimes it's hard to find good books on Thanksgiving or being thankful。 A little long for storytime, but I love all the Karma Wilson bear books, and sometimes it's hard to find good books on Thanksgiving or being thankful。 。。。more

This light-hearted book is about a bear who starts with a whole lot of nothing and ends up with a ton of food and a lot of new friends。 I like the message in this book。 It encourages readers to use manners like bear does and it also teaches readers that we can always help each other out。 The friendship aspect in the book is strong as all of the other animals in the forest forgive bear for not having anything to contribute。 Overall, this book is a great book for children of all ages。

What a wonderful way to address wanting to show gratitude with THINGS but not having them to give, so you find (maybe with some help from your friends) how you give of yourself and that is enough。 Sweet。

I love Bear! This book is perfect for talking about thankfulness before Thanksgiving - even for my students who do not celebrate Thanksgiving。 Also, plenty of rhyming and new vocabulary。
