A dystopian world in need of saving and a girl who just wants to be left alone。Faith Hunter has never written a bad character and I have read most of her books。 Shining Smith just wants to take care of her junkyard and her people but there are bad folks who want to hurt innocents。 She will do what is necessary to save her corner of the world and the people who matter to her。

A great story that kept me interested right until the end。 I’ve recently abandoned this author’s Jane Yellowrock series as the books have turned into a bloated Hollywood/HBO scripts。 Perhaps Shining might be my new Jane。

Continuing from the first book in the second installment， you learn more about the main characters， and the politics of the world after WW3。 This book is very character driven， even though there is plenty of action。 Strong female protagonist， and hints of a love interest make for a very enjoyable read。 Not sure how long this series is planned， but I am hoping the next installment will come out soon。

Junkyard Bargain is book two in the Shining Smith series， it is currently only available on audible， but it is scheduled for release in October。 The action is picking up and we are learning more about all of the characters。 I am really enjoying this series and am look forward to book three
