This is such a fantastic fairytale retelling！ With a villainous twist this sleeping beauty tale is addictive and exciting and I could not put it down。 With incredible world building in such detail that you feel as though you could actually be on this awesome adventure。 Tons of magic and twists and turns this heart pounding and gripping read will hook you and have you on the edge of your seat！

The twelfth and final book in A Villain's Ever After series was another good story。 I'm so glad that I found the series。This Sleeping Beauty retelling had plenty of drama and more than a few surprises。 For a start， there were two princesses。 One must be destined to be the Sleeper and the other Spell Caster， but it was not certain which of them would be which until they faced each other。 As the two young women revealed about themselves， I knew which one I wanted to win。The strongest qualities of The twelfth and final book in A Villain's Ever After series was another good story。 I'm so glad that I found the series。This Sleeping Beauty retelling had plenty of drama and more than a few surprises。 For a start， there were two princesses。 One must be destined to be the Sleeper and the other Spell Caster， but it was not certain which of them would be which until they faced each other。 As the two young women revealed about themselves， I knew which one I wanted to win。The strongest qualities of each character became the threads that were spun into a satisfying ending。 。。。more

Sylvia Mercedes has done it again！ Having read several of her work， I was unsure how she was going to write a twisted fairytale about the beloved Sleeping Beauty。 In true Sylvia fashion， she did it and did it well。 What I enjoy about this author is how her stories does not follow a set pattern。 I often find a few stories by the same author predictable。 In her version， Sleeping Beauty became a strong character。 This is a complete opposite of how she was portrayed in the original fairytale。 I like Sylvia Mercedes has done it again！ Having read several of her work， I was unsure how she was going to write a twisted fairytale about the beloved Sleeping Beauty。 In true Sylvia fashion， she did it and did it well。 What I enjoy about this author is how her stories does not follow a set pattern。 I often find a few stories by the same author predictable。 In her version， Sleeping Beauty became a strong character。 This is a complete opposite of how she was portrayed in the original fairytale。 I like her better in Sylvia’s story。 Be warned however that she is the villain。 Some of the elements in the Disney and original version were incorporated into this story。 But in a different way。 You must read the book！ 。。。more

This is the sweetest retelling of Sleeping beauty！！ I absolutely loved Sylvia’s twist on this classic story。 Cara was the brave daughter discovering magic to try to save her country。 Lord Torald was the sexy mysterious dragon an ooh！！ The twists and turns。 Did I mention sexy dragons！！ Absolutely loved this adventurous tale！！

Soo good and very fun to read。 Sleeping Beauty has always been a special story for me and Maleficient even more so。 I loved this twist and fresh take on the story。 The play on the key details was so fun to find and see how they were incorporated。 I loved how you get a story with a great fast moving plot with a good conflict and magical showdown。 Plus the Dragon Lords， especially Torald was the cherry on top for me。 He had me swooning and chuckling。 This was a m/f fantasy romance with magic and w Soo good and very fun to read。 Sleeping Beauty has always been a special story for me and Maleficient even more so。 I loved this twist and fresh take on the story。 The play on the key details was so fun to find and see how they were incorporated。 I loved how you get a story with a great fast moving plot with a good conflict and magical showdown。 Plus the Dragon Lords， especially Torald was the cherry on top for me。 He had me swooning and chuckling。 This was a m/f fantasy romance with magic and war， curses and dragon ‘shifters’。 A clean read in regards to steam but there is violence and death。 Like the other books in the Villian’s Ever After series this is a quick read with a happily ever after。 I’m now hoping to get Felipo’s story。 He really got the wheels turning while I read an arc there at the end…oh the possibilities！ 。。。more

Carabosse was the heir to King Wyrran of Ravaynore， but she was humble and more comfortable spinning her spin spells on her wheel and spindle than acting like a princess， to the chagrin of her stepmother Queen Dessielle。 The Kingdom was under threat from the Warlock King and his very talented sorceress daughter Aurora， who dealt in death magic。 He on the other hand had the power to take over people's minds， so Carabosse thought that she would be no match for these two powerful magic wielders and Carabosse was the heir to King Wyrran of Ravaynore， but she was humble and more comfortable spinning her spin spells on her wheel and spindle than acting like a princess， to the chagrin of her stepmother Queen Dessielle。 The Kingdom was under threat from the Warlock King and his very talented sorceress daughter Aurora， who dealt in death magic。 He on the other hand had the power to take over people's minds， so Carabosse thought that she would be no match for these two powerful magic wielders and of little help to her father， who had called for aid from the dragon lords。 These came to offer fealty to the briar and rose crowns but Lord Torald， an azure dragon in particular offered fealty to Cara。 However once the attack came the warlock king turned everyone against the king and it fell upon Cara to try and save her family and her kingdom。 Can she and Torald do this？ I love that in this villains ever after tale we get to have a heroine like Cara who is both humble as well as strong and loyal to a fault， and who would risk both her life as well as that of Torald in order to do what must be done。 I love the romance in the tale and the exciting adventure as cara travels on Torald's back to Dargmoira， the dragon land。 This sleeping Beauty inspired tale is not to be missed as it has some heart stopping moments and turns quite dark at times。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I absolutely adore this book！ This is my first book of the Villain’s Ever After series and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the books！This story follows Princess Carabosse， which I looked up and found would be the wicked fairy godmother。 （Disney changed it to Maleficent）。 I adored Maleficent， I watched the movies but this story definitely isn’t quite like that。Princess Carabosse and Princess Aurora are probably about the same age here。 Princess Aurora already had her 3 fairy godmothers bles I absolutely adore this book！ This is my first book of the Villain’s Ever After series and I can’t wait to dive into the rest of the books！This story follows Princess Carabosse， which I looked up and found would be the wicked fairy godmother。 （Disney changed it to Maleficent）。 I adored Maleficent， I watched the movies but this story definitely isn’t quite like that。Princess Carabosse and Princess Aurora are probably about the same age here。 Princess Aurora already had her 3 fairy godmothers blessed her but instead of being kind， caring， sweet， she is actually quite wicked in this story。At the beginning， the Dragon Lords give their loyalty to the Briar Crown， which is the crown Princess Carabosse’s father wears。 One of the Dragon Lords， Lord Torald， who bumps into Carabosse before their loyalty blessing， gives his loyalty not only to the Briar crown but also the Rose crown， which is what Carabosse wears。When King Wyrran， Carabosse‘s father， has to take off， he asks Carabosse to take care of her stepmother and brother。 The stepmother is actually nice， compared to what a lot of fairy tales make them out to be。When the Dragon Lords turn on her father， Carabosse is on the run。 The Warlock King and his daughter， Princess Aurora will kill her if they find her。 Since Lord Torald gave his loyalty to Carabosse， he helps her escape。It’s really sweet。 I absolutely couldn’t get enough of this story！ I am so thankful to have been given an ARC。 Thank you so much！ I can’t wait to read more from Sylvia Mercedes， I love her books！！ 。。。more
