Ancient & Immortal by KN BanetAncient & Immortal by KN Banet:I’m a HUGE Banet fan。 I came for Zuri’s story。 I loved this little story！！ *Chefs Kiss* It was so cute and I definitely could read an entire series on these two。 I guess because it was a novella it didn’t have the usual relationship angst that you get but these two were very honest and open with the opinions and I loved it and their directness。If you haven’t read any other books in this word you should check out Jacky Leon and Kaliya S Ancient & Immortal by KN BanetAncient & Immortal by KN Banet:I’m a HUGE Banet fan。 I came for Zuri’s story。 I loved this little story！！ *Chefs Kiss* It was so cute and I definitely could read an entire series on these two。 I guess because it was a novella it didn’t have the usual relationship angst that you get but these two were very honest and open with the opinions and I loved it and their directness。If you haven’t read any other books in this word you should check out Jacky Leon and Kaliya Sahni both set in this universe with other series and characters also on their way。 （I’ll add reviews for the other short stories as I go） 。。。more

Fabulous！I pre-ordered this book when I saw that Ancient & Immortal by KN Banet would be included。 I loved this look into the life of Zuri， the somewhat mysterious and always commanding older sister of Jacky Leon from the Tribunal Archives world。 With so many other fabulous authors in this anthology， I have no doubt I’m going to enjoy the rest as much as I did Zuri’s story。

I read Margo Bond Collins' contribution to this anthology， which is the short story "Mystic Motives"。 The author has done a great job of weaving together the wilful self-righteousness of the Salem witch hunts with the blood thirstiness of the Roman arena and the idealistic actions of John Brown's abolitionists in a dystopian world with violent anti-magic sentiments facing off against the desire for personal freedoms。 This short story is full of wildly veering emotion and non-stop suspenseful act I read Margo Bond Collins' contribution to this anthology， which is the short story "Mystic Motives"。 The author has done a great job of weaving together the wilful self-righteousness of the Salem witch hunts with the blood thirstiness of the Roman arena and the idealistic actions of John Brown's abolitionists in a dystopian world with violent anti-magic sentiments facing off against the desire for personal freedoms。 This short story is full of wildly veering emotion and non-stop suspenseful action， and this is a prequel！ The next instalment is going to have to be explosive to beat this story！I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Absolutely amazing！ One of the best things that I truly enjoy about anthologies is getting the chance to take a closer look into powerful characters within other books。 Not only do you get to see those characters， usually secondary characters in novels， in a different light， but you get to see a side of them that opens your mind， as a reader， to the complexity of the world， in its entirety。

I surely was surprised how intensely this story started， newly awakened powers， but not weak， love this。 I really like intelligent， strong female protagonist。 The male is interesting ， but not nearly as much as Zander。 Very short easy， quick read。 Look forward to Zander’s story unfolding and the tension between the 2 protagonists。 Good job。 Only 4 stars as I only read Margo Bond Collins story， but it was greatI received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

I received and ARC for Magic， Memories， and Mayhem by LJ Night which is included in this anthology。 First thing to note is this is a prequel to her book Key of Magic which I am SO excited for！ I read another teaser for this new series previously that gave a bit more back story for Maribel and this one just added on a bit more。 Allowing us to see how she developed since that first teaser。 So far the character development has been solid， I am invested in the MC and excited to hear about her story。 I received and ARC for Magic， Memories， and Mayhem by LJ Night which is included in this anthology。 First thing to note is this is a prequel to her book Key of Magic which I am SO excited for！ I read another teaser for this new series previously that gave a bit more back story for Maribel and this one just added on a bit more。 Allowing us to see how she developed since that first teaser。 So far the character development has been solid， I am invested in the MC and excited to hear about her story。 The premise is new and exciting， creating world building that is clear and interesting。 This prequel gives us a glimpse into a possible romantic interest but already I've been able to get invested enough in the character development， world building， and the MC's possible weaknesses/character flaws to have me unsure of how things are going to play out which makes me happy since there's no predictions I can solidly make yet。 Excited to get my hands on the series when it releases。 Full disclosure， I may update my review once I am able to read other books in this anthology。 For now， based on Magic， Memories， and Mayhem by LJ Night my review will start at 5/5。 。。。more
