"Elemental Witch" by B R Kingsolver - After a magical disaster puts Joanna's future in jeopardy, the Supernatural Council gives her a second chance at Midleton College。 New friends, a hot wolf shifter, and a serene campus grow on her fast。 Then some fool summons a demon。 Can Joanna clean up the mess before the demon kills her friends?

"Lunaticking" by Dale Ivan Smith - Sorcerer-Agent Elizabeth Marquez tracks illegal wolf-men manifestations。 Shifter Chloe must find her kidnapped pack leader。 Together, these two wielders of different magics must find the supernatural culprits behind both crimes, and stop a far greater one from happening。

"Prowl" by N。 R。 Hairston - Wereskunk Anise is constantly ducking werewolves and vampires intent upon harvesting her high-dollar skunk oil。 Will alpha werewolf Brick really help, or is he just another poacher hunting her?

"Full Moon's Curse" by Jenn Windrow - Sometimes the cure is worse than the curse。 Cursed by a witch on a power kick, Julia Monroe has twenty-four hours to kill the leader of the local coven。 If she fails, she'll be forced to live as a wolf for the rest of her life。 If she succeeds, she'll be excommunicated from her pack and her family。

"A Myth in Moonlight" by Becca Andre - Leena knows that mythical creatures don't exist - not in the modern magical world。 But when the old werewolf myth proves to have some。。。bite, she must reexamine her beliefs to break an improbable curse before it runs wild in Cincinnati。

Awesome grouping of authors and stories! This book was wonderful!! It included some authors that I already enjoy, and had some ones I wasn't familiar with。 I enjoyed some stories more than others, but I've definitely added some more authors to my like list。 I was able to sign up for some author email newsletters, which is always fun。 I'll definitely be checking out some of the series that these stories are connected with。 This was a wonderful way to get an introduction to a variety of authors。 I Awesome grouping of authors and stories! This book was wonderful!! High MoonThis anthology contains eight wildly different stories。 All have a common thread of werewolves, a personal favorite。 As with most collections the quality does vary。 I really enjoyed six of the eight, the other two just didn’t grab me。 It was an effort to get through one of them。 Basically it was a good collection and I will start following a couple of the writers。 All the stories were well thought out with good story lines。 Most of the characters are developed nicely。 I still recommend High MoonThis anthology contains eight wildly different stories。 All have a common thread of werewolves, a personal favorite。 As with most collections the quality does vary。 I really enjoyed six of the eight, the other two just didn’t grab me。 It was an effort to get through one of them。 Basically it was a good collection and I will start following a couple of the writers。 All the stories were well thought out with good story lines。 Most of the characters are developed nicely。 I still recommend this book even if I don’t care for a couple of stories。 。。。more

Interesting selection of authors and tales about the crazy wolf where’s, and othersThese werewolves opened my eyes to aspects of lycanthropy I hadn’t explored previous to reading some of these authors。I enjoyed this anthology。 Oh by the way, Wereskunks can seriously kick butt!

Only one of the authors is known to me in this anthology full of adventure, supernatural and danger。 I have only read two stories to date, in one I was already familiar with heroin, the other story left me hungry to learn more about heroin。 These anthologies are a good way to meet other authors who write about the genres of books that we like and have not tried or had knowledge of them previously。 Interesting, intriguing, full of action, suspense, and danger。 Voluntarily review this copy that I Only one of the authors is known to me in this anthology full of adventure, supernatural and danger。 I have only read two stories to date, in one I was already familiar with heroin, the other story left me hungry to learn more about heroin。 These anthologies are a good way to meet other authors who write about the genres of books that we like and have not tried or had knowledge of them previously。 Interesting, intriguing, full of action, suspense, and danger。 Voluntarily review this copy that I received from BookFunnel and I’m liking a lot。Fox Hunt by Aimee EasterlingMai is faced with a dilemma trying to protect her students, but she decides to follow her human father’s teachings。 An adventure that would have cost her her independence and freedom if she hadn't used her strengths and wits。 I really enjoyed meeting this Mai Fairchild’s adventure before the Moon Market books。 The novel is consistent with the books and kept me interested in the challenges heroin faces and the resources at her disposal。"Wereabouts Unknown" by Jenn StarkThis novel caught my attention since I started reading it。 A mysterious heroine with a predestined mission and many paranormal allies around her。 Action and suspense all the time。 Going for more。 。。。more

High Moon is an awesome boxed set featuring stories from several of my favorite authors。 I’m already a fan of Easterling, Andre, Stark, and Kingsolver, and after reading the other stories, I’m quickly becoming a fan of the other authors as well。 Fox Hunt by Aimee Easterling is a prequel to the Moon Marked series。 Mai and Kira are kitsune, fox shifters, who have been told their whole life the hide from werewolves。 Mai works as a teacher and runs across a werewolf who has taken an interest in one High Moon is an awesome boxed set featuring stories from several of my favorite authors。 I’m already a fan of Easterling, Andre, Stark, and Kingsolver, and after reading the other stories, I’m quickly becoming a fan of the other authors as well。 Fox Hunt by Aimee Easterling is a prequel to the Moon Marked series。 Mai and Kira are kitsune, fox shifters, who have been told their whole life the hide from werewolves。 Mai works as a teacher and runs across a werewolf who has taken an interest in one of her students。 One wolf leads to another and soon Mai finds herself having to figure out how to keep everyone safe without outing herself to a local, power-hungry werewolf alpha。 I enjoyed this glimpse into Mai and Kira’s lives prior to their meeting Gunner in Wolf’s Bane。 I liked learning more about her relationship with her father and how he loved and protected them。 It was both a great addition to the series and a great intro if you haven't read it。 A Myth in Moonlight by Becca Andre is a standalone story set in the Final Formula world but focuses on new characters。 Leena and Conor are college students who met in their Magical Mythology course。 While on a field trip, several students are bitten by an enormous wolf, which has some very surprising consequences。 I enjoyed the story and liked Leena。 She was a likable character who was still coming to terms with her past choices and she has some pretty cool Magical powers。 Conor is a skeptic, but soon realizes that seeing is believing。 Final Formula readers will enjoy cameos from some old friends。 I suggest that new readers will likely enjoy continuing the Final Formula to experience more of the world that the author created。 Wereabouts Unknown by Jenn Stark picks up soon after the events of Untamed Moon, when Nikki ascended to the position of the Moon on the Arcana council。 Nikki's hosting a beauty pageant when a young woman triggers her sixth sense。 Nikki's never going to walk away from people who need help, and she soon discovers old friends and new potential allies。 Nikki is one of my favorite characters in the Sara Wilde series and it was nice for her to get her own book in which to shine。 (In all honesty, reading this made me realize that I'd love it if Nikki got her own spin off series。。。hint, hint Ms。 Stark, wink nudge)。 I liked getting to see her rise to her role as the Moon and interact with her new bodyguards。 This was a fun book and a definite must read! Elemental Witch by BR Kingsolver is the story of Joanna, an elemental Witch who's transferred colleges from Oregon to Pennsylvania after an unfortunate event in Oregon。 She's determined to start over and as part of her penance, she's helping the local council when issues arise。 An issue rises when a local college student summons a demon he's unable to control。 Joanna, the Council, and her new friends must work together to fight the demon。 I enjoyed the story, the new characters and how they're able to work with the elementals。 My only complaint is that the story ended a bit abruptly, so my hope is that the author will continue it in a full-length novel。 I like the world that was created, and I'd like to read more about it。 Dragon Tears by Marina Finlayson is the story of Nat, a newly turned werewolf who's working as a security guard with the rest of her new pack。 After she thwarts a robbery of a dragon's hoard, she's hired by the dragon to be part of his security team。 One if her first tests is to help with security at a ball he's hosting。 This was more of a short story, but I enjoyed this book and would like to read more about these characters。Lunaticking by Dale Ivan Smith is the story of Liz, a RUNE agent, charged with keeping the world safe from supernaturals。 She and her partner Tully are investigating an apparent werewolf infestation and discover there's a lot more going on than they realized。 This was a fun story by a new-to-me author with several characters that I wouldn't mind reading more about。 Prowl by NR Hairston is the story of Anise, a skunk shifter, whose species is highly sought after for their thoils, which are a cross between a street drug and a miracle cure。 Just as she's about to be kidnapped by a local alpha who's also a skunk oil dealer, she's rescued by Brick, a much stronger alpha。 He seems to have nobler intentions, but Anise doesn't feel like she can truly trust anyone, so she leaves soon after recovering, determined to continue living as a loner。 However, she has too many enemies to count and soon realizes she needs allies if she doesn't want to spend her whole life running and fighting。 I enjoyed this book and will keep my eye out for the next book in the series because I want to know what's next for Anise and Brick。Full Moon's Curse by Jenn Windrow is the story of Julia, a wolf shifter who was kidnapped by a black witch and cursed to kill the witch's rival or be doomed to spend the rest of her life in wolf form。 Julia enlists the help of her twin brother and his powerful friends。 They come up with a plan, but the black witch has other ideas。 I liked the story and am looking forward to reading more about the characters。 。。。more

I loved this anthology。 Aimee Easterling is one of my favorite authors and her story with Mai and her sister is a fun read。 I love fox shifters。 I think it is my favorite story in the bunch, but I loved all the characters in this whole group of stories。 It was entertaining and easy to read。 I now have some new authors that I will be watching for new stories from。 If you like witches, shifters, and other things fantasy, you will love this book。 I would recommend it。

Fox Hunt, by Aimee Easterling, is an excellent novella。 It is the only story I have read so far, but I am impressed by its completeness。 I was able to enjoy a full, satisfying tale within the restictions of a short story。 Fox Hunt is the prelude to Moon Marked which I have read and enjoyed。 It was nice to see some of the background that made up Mai and Kira's life and to get to learn more about their father。 I look forward to reading the rest of the stories, and experiencing new authors。 Fox Hunt, by Aimee Easterling, is an excellent novella。 It is the only story I have read so far, but I am impressed by its completeness。 I was able to enjoy a full, satisfying tale within the restictions of a short story。 Fox Hunt is the prelude to Moon Marked which I have read and enjoyed。 It was nice to see some of the background that made up Mai and Kira's life and to get to learn more about their father。 I look forward to reading the rest of the stories, and experiencing new authors。 。。。more

Each of these stories is very different from one another, but it’s easy to see the linking elements between them。 Whether witty, wacky, witchy, or just plain wolf-y, every one of these stories pulled me in and made me believe。 And by the time you get to the end of the anthology, you’ll understand why that’s so dangerous。 I came into this anthology being familiar with the works of only one of the authors, but now I’ve just found a bunch more books that need to be added to my ‘must read’ shelf。 I Each of these stories is very different from one another, but it’s easy to see the linking elements between them。 Whether witty, wacky, witchy, or just plain wolf-y, every one of these stories pulled me in and made me believe。 And by the time you get to the end of the anthology, you’ll understand why that’s so dangerous。 I came into this anthology being familiar with the works of only one of the authors, but now I’ve just found a bunch more books that need to be added to my ‘must read’ shelf。 I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from one of the participating authors。 。。。more

Shifters have become a fount of creativity, and I like the concept of using a Wild West free for all anthology。 And this selection has some famous authors and tarot cards, moon glow, dragon hoards, and skunk magic。 I tried to read each story, but I am a moody reader and could only finish two: Marina Finlayson:“I wiggled my fingers at him。 “Opposable thumbs, baby。 Can’t play Candy Crush without them。”” 😂I had to read this first。 Questions: Why have the security explained? Supposedly she is already familiarized with the security, since she is a part of the outdoor security detail。 Why did Leon turn her?The world is ours plus shifters。 I realized while reading this that every dragon shifter book I liked had hoards。 Why? I guess my inner collector feels some connection with dragon hoards。 I cannot help but look up at my paintings, my fossils, my old coin collection and wonder why I have boxes of random stuff in all my closets, especially when I think about cleaning around them (shudder)! Yet I cannot seem to toss out my fossils…。despite being worthless。 Kudos to Marina for addressing the pet peeve about shifters that make me put down a novel: why is the animal inside a separate being? If I was a shifter, my thought processes might shift, LOL, along with my body, but I doubt I would treat my instincts separately while human。 Unless I was not born a shifter。 “I can explain。” Those 3 little words, like “I Love You” or “It wasn’t me” evoke a world of emotions。 New shifter, new security guard, new potential house security Nat is accused after a heist during the yearly ball that dragon shifter Gabriel hosts。 Someone at the ball arranged the perfect heist, and she is blamed after speculating exactly what a thief could do to escape with the Dragons Tears。 A ball, a heist, and clever bait and switch? Marina placed so many cool plot dumdums I was captivated。 This was a lovely story, and it feels like the preview to a series。 I would love to hear more about Nat and the other characters。 “🦊 Hunt” by Aimee Easterling is the first one you read。 It evokes High Noon and the old B-rated Cowboy movies along main street somewhere in the American west。 Mai and her sister are 🦊 shifters hidden in a city between wolf packs, which unfortunately becomes a takeover target。 As a teacher of middle school students, I love the little details of the field trips she leads。 When a student gets kidnapped, Mai discovers she can no longer hide; worse, she has now become a target as unmated wolves fight for dominance and she needs to find her students without giving her true nature away and without cueing in her fellow human teachers about the supernatural side。 It’s a trip。 As a short story, I expected the story to feel unfinished, but I was surprised again at how many details were described in such a small amount of time。 I totally dug the foxy vibes。 Why did the other stories not appeal to me? #1 "Wereabouts Unknown" by Jenn Stark: her world is amazing, and I wanted to like the story。 However, in a short story, there is little time to describe the world or characters, yet she did。 It felt repetitive, and there was too much going on。 I finally gave up。 #2 "Elemental Witch" by B R Kingsolver: The pacing was slow, and it felt like a younger adult story。 I felt the audience she was trying to reach was too young for me。 LOL。#3 "Prowl" by N。 R。 Hairston: Although I liked the idea of other supernaturals finding her skunk oil highly addictive, it still felt a little outrageous, and I didn't finish。 #4 "Full Moon's Curse" by Jenn Windrow: It started great。 But again, I felt like there is a huge backstory I don’t know and too many characters thrown in at once。 #5 "A Myth in Moonlight" by Becca Andre: I got bored。 I need a faster pace。 。。。more

You want more! of course。Elemental Witch) by B。R KingsolverThe Supernatural Council gives Joanna a chance to begin anew, as a student as Middleton College。 Seems like a good idea, take a break, make new friends, find a hot-werewolf with BF material。 Do you remember the ‘high-school is hell’ trope, after a student summons a demon, surely is, and it falls up to Joanna to sort the mess。Dragon Tears by Marina FinlaysonNat Turner is a new wolf looking for an opportunity to escape the pack’s control。 That opportunity comes wearing claws: a dragon looking for a bodyguard。 It should be easy, protect the dragon and his tears (ask gems), it isn’t: The dragon has plethora of enemies and he is ‘mildly’ distracting himself。Lunaticking by Dale Evan SmithElisabeth Marquez is an Agent tasked with tracking illegal wolfmen, with the help of her sorcery。 As she meets Chloe, a shifter looking for her pack-leader, who has wane without trace, the two women joint their forces to resolve the linked crimes。Prowl by N。 R。 Hairston Anisa is a wereskunk, yes you got that right a wereskunk 😊 always on the run from the other supernaturals (werewolves and vampires) intended on stealing her skunk oil (see now you learn something new; skunk-oil is much sought after and very profitable)。 Brick, a werewolf, seems to be an ally, but Anisa is not that sure, he is just not a predator in helper custome, looking for an opening to get the goods。Full Moon’s Curse by Jenn WindrowJulia Monroe is been cursed, and let between a rock and a very hard place: Kill the leader of the local coven, to appaisse the witch and lift the curse, and be excommunicated from her pack and family in the process。 Or live as a wolf forever after。 It’s nice to have choices, isn’t ☹A Myth in Moonlight by Becca AndreMeet Leena, a scientific mind, who knows that myths are just myths, and consequently werewolves don’t exist in the modern magical world。 She knows, until the myth comes back to bite her, and she must put all her efforts into breaking the curse and save Cincinnati from a rampant pack of ‘non-existing myths’ 。。。more
