I almost always， always give Clarissa Wild books 4-5 stars and this first book in a dark mafia duet is no exception。 I loved this book and cannot wait for book 2。 Marcello is the newly named dom of his familia。 When he sees Harper， he wants her， but business gets in the way。 The next time he sees her， she is on the auction block！ He buys her and although the chemistry is sizzling， Harper is fighting it。 Both of these two characters are well written， intense， and strong。 The book moves quickly， h I almost always， always give Clarissa Wild books 4-5 stars and this first book in a dark mafia duet is no exception。 I loved this book and cannot wait for book 2。 Marcello is the newly named dom of his familia。 When he sees Harper， he wants her， but business gets in the way。 The next time he sees her， she is on the auction block！ He buys her and although the chemistry is sizzling， Harper is fighting it。 Both of these two characters are well written， intense， and strong。 The book moves quickly， has great steam， twists， turns， and action。 Great read and best of all， this book and many other of Ms Wild's books are available to read for FREE with KU。 I can't wait for book 2， Owned。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Mafia， mystery， and suspense！ What more can you ask for？ Harper and Marcelo have scorching heat level chemistry🔥！ They both struggle to understand these feelings and wonder if they have something special or dangerous。 Ends with a bang and now we wait to see if Harper made a good choice， or will come back to haunt her。

I am SOLD！ Wow！ I am captivated by the story of Marcello and Harper。 There are twists and turns throughout this book。 Even though the relationship between Marcello and Harper started out as…well less than what a relationship should…the chemistry between the two is undeniable！ Can’t wait for the next installment！
