This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Ok well。。。。 I don't really know where to start。 I think what the problem with Ruin Of Roses aside from the story itself， is all the hype and build up。 I don't know if the new marketing trend with authors is to tell us they are "writing their spiciest book yet"， but I have seen multiple authors use those exact words recently。 I went in with such high expectations and unfortunately I was left disappointed。 When readers demanded more steam I'm pretty sure they meant they wanted sex between both MCs Ok well。。。。 I don't really know where to start。 I think what the problem with Ruin Of Roses aside from the story itself， is all the hype and build up。 I don't know if the new marketing trend with authors is to tell us they are "writing their spiciest book yet"， but I have seen multiple authors use those exact words recently。 I went in with such high expectations and unfortunately I was left disappointed。 When readers demanded more steam I'm pretty sure they meant they wanted sex between both MCs before the third book in a series。🚨🚨🚨There is NO ACTUAL SEX in this book between H and h！！！！ Everyone seems to be having sex but them！ 😩Talking about orgies and using the word pussy and cock every other sentence does not make a book spicy imo。 We do get a few oral scenes and a finger bang that gets interrupted but that's about it。 The hot and cold behavior with Nyfain was getting annoying after the first few times and the fact that she didn't realize he was the prince was completely ridiculous。 He lives in the castle， protects the royal woods， and he tells her about his mother and her gardens around the castle。。。。。 Did she think he was the son of the gardener？！？！ 🙄🙄 the servants call him "master" for fucks sake！！ The hottest and most intriguing part of this book was actually chapter 17。 The part about the scales on the back of a dragon shifter （in human form） being an erogenous zone was something I've never read before in shifter books and I will be looking for more books with that theme。 So thank you for that。🤷♀️All in all you get a book full of dirty words and filler scenes used for shock value but not much story。 I might read book two just because I have many questions。 If you have never read this author before I recommend you read Demigods instead， although there isn't a ton of steam in that series everything about it is amazing and the few spicy scenes are 🔥🔥🔥 。。。more

This book was amazing！ It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time。 I loved the main character。 Very strong female lead！ This is not her usual style but she absolutely rocked it！ Warning you must like all things spicy！！！！ This book is hot hot hot。 I am counting the days until we get book two and book one has not even been released。 I cannot wait to see what happens next！ The Queen has rocked another wonderful series for us to get lost in。 ！！！！！！

I'm a huge lover of all fairytale retellings but Beauty and the Beast ones have always been my favourites so when I found out K。F。 Breene was writing one I couldn't get hold of a copy fast enough and A Ruin of Roses was a book I absolutely devoured。 It has all the main requirements for a retelling so the story has a familiar feel to it but at the same time the author has put in enough of her own world building to also make it feel fresh and exciting。I loved the main character Finley， she's no we I'm a huge lover of all fairytale retellings but Beauty and the Beast ones have always been my favourites so when I found out K。F。 Breene was writing one I couldn't get hold of a copy fast enough and A Ruin of Roses was a book I absolutely devoured。 It has all the main requirements for a retelling so the story has a familiar feel to it but at the same time the author has put in enough of her own world building to also make it feel fresh and exciting。I loved the main character Finley， she's no weak wallflower even though she's not the most powerful character physically。 She has a strength of will and determination to protect her family at all costs and she also has a brilliantly snarky sense of humour that helps her see the funny side even when the odds are against her。Nyfain is harder to get a read on because he's so secretive and mysterious but I love a hero with layers and I'm sure there is so much more to uncover about him as the series continues。 At the moment the curse is presumably making it difficult for him to talk about certain things so it'll be interesting to see how that resolves itself in the next book。I think there's great potential for romance between Finley and Nyfain but I'm glad that it's not being rushed considering the circumstances of their meeting。 They have chemistry already though and I can't wait to see it progress。I'm already all in on this series， its dark but funny， full of action and will take you for a walk on the wild side。 Bring on the rest of the trilogy！ 。。。more

I've received （after requesting） an arc for an honest review。 I follow K。F。 Breene on her social media channels & her warnings for this book lured me in！ K。F。 Breene writes hilariously foul-mouthed lead characters （Reagan is my spirit animal） and Finley did not disappoint in this Beauty and and Beast retelling。There are some genuine laugh out loud moments throughout， which for me， helped balance the super steamy moments building up between Finley and Nyfain。I love plenty of action， so at times I I've received （after requesting） an arc for an honest review。 I follow K。F。 Breene on her social media channels & her warnings for this book lured me in！ K。F。 Breene writes hilariously foul-mouthed lead characters （Reagan is my spirit animal） and Finley did not disappoint in this Beauty and and Beast retelling。There are some genuine laugh out loud moments throughout， which for me， helped balance the super steamy moments building up between Finley and Nyfain。I love plenty of action， so at times I felt the pace lagged a little when they were just chit chatting。 And， whilst the chemistry is super hot between Finley and Nyfain I found myself looking forward to Finley's time with the butler。 He is hilarious and the visuals he creates will most definitely shock the pearl clutchers。It does end on a cliff hanger - yet I'm still satisfied overall。 I'm very much looking forward to reading the next installment。 The foundation has been laid for a much bigger story and I can't wait to read more！Fans of Amelia Hutchins and those that enjoy super steamy / absolute filth （！！！！！） In their books will enjoy this book。 。。。more

A very unique and original fairy tale。 It has lots of demons and the castle and villages are under a curse。 The beast is the Prince whose Dragon has clipped wings。 The castle has demons that are trying to corrupt the Prince as the have his staff。 There is a good amount of raunchy sex discussed。 I did not know this book ended with a cliffhanger which takes away from the stars awarded。 I look forward to reading the next book in this series。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 The adult version of Beauty and the Beast。I really enjoyed the characters and the idea of a curse which blocked a shifter's ability to change。 The world building was interesting， but came if spurts so it was kind of difficult to keep everything straight。 Sometimes it became like an info dump instead of an addition to the story。 I did enjoy the variety of new creatures that's were introduced。 It was like a breath of fresh air to read something completely original。 The concentration on the everlas The adult version of Beauty and the Beast。I really enjoyed the characters and the idea of a curse which blocked a shifter's ability to change。 The world building was interesting， but came if spurts so it was kind of difficult to keep everything straight。 Sometimes it became like an info dump instead of an addition to the story。 I did enjoy the variety of new creatures that's were introduced。 It was like a breath of fresh air to read something completely original。 The concentration on the everlass leaves is interesting and I'm sure has some deep rooted explanation due to its importance。 The speech and monologues， while they may be a tad vulgar for some， were quite humorous。 They definitely lightened up the story and added a more realistic dialogue。 Finley， for me， was sometimes confusing。 She is strong and courageous。 She's lived in a chaotic time and thrived， but yet when she goes into the wood it's like she forgets everything she's learned。 She is quick to take opportunities as they come， but after like 11 years and being so "learned" I expected more instinctual things vs。 relying on her shifter side so much。The chemistry between Nyfain and Finley is straight electric。 Everytime they have a dispute which is like everytime they are in the same room， you can feel the tension。 And what I wouldn't give to hear what Nyfain's dragon says in his mind。 If it's anything like Finley's animal， I would need a cold shower fast。 The ending was abrupt and left me impatient for the next book。 I'm eager to see what the demon king has in store for them and what stupidity Finley can save Nyfain from。 。。。more
