I am so excited to find these cards from one of my most helpful and inspiring teachers whom I’ve been reading for three decades! I will use these to strengthen and inspire my own writing practice which ebbs and flows。 These prompts (aka starting points) will encourage me to express myself on deeper levels and I can’t wait to begin! Thanks to NetGalley, the author and publisher for an advanced reading copy of this book in exchange for my honest review。

I have never read Writing Down the Bones。 That will change after viewing this deck of cards。 Each card contains a writing prompt on one side with a longer discussion of the prompt and advice given on the other side。 Goldberg has a strong mindfulness approach。 In addition, her descriptions are often presented in beautiful, poetic language。 She also illuminates that each writing prompt can be taken from many layers of meaning。 Writing is an adventure with unexpected twists and turns, Goldberg joyf I have never read Writing Down the Bones。 That will change after viewing this deck of cards。 Each card contains a writing prompt on one side with a longer discussion of the prompt and advice given on the other side。 Goldberg has a strong mindfulness approach。 In addition, her descriptions are often presented in beautiful, poetic language。 She also illuminates that each writing prompt can be taken from many layers of meaning。 Writing is an adventure with unexpected twists and turns, Goldberg joyfully invites you to plunge into your journey。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was an unusual writing prompt book。 It asks questions that are answerable on many levels。 What do you carry in purse, wallet, besides the obvious? Maybe anger, memories, resentment , etc。。 I need to get this set for my journaling; it will happen when I get writer's block。 Use numbers in every sentence, odd numbers a best! Wonderful book for people who enjoy writing。 Make a great gift。I received a Kindle arc from Netgalley in exchange for a fair review。 This was an unusual writing prompt book。 It asks questions that are answerable on many levels。 What do you carry in purse, wallet, besides the obvious?
