Ohhhh this one was good。Really good。I had such a happy time reading it。 Everything was done just right and it felt like watching a good movie。 Usually books with these genre can exhaust you like nothing because there is so much filler。 While this did have some really long chapters， things kept going well so no complaints there。 I like how their chemistry and story was flowing that when they realized their feelings it seemed right。 Anyway。 A good read。

I’m pleasantly surprised by Matteo， our anti-hero。 I love dark mafia arranged marriages， it’s one of this irresistible tropes to me。 The anti- heroes almost always start out being these big grumpy， cold alpha holes， set on some sort of revenge and using the innocent heroine in his evil plot。 This one starts just this way。 Matteo wants revenge on the men he holds responsible for his fathers murder。 As part of his plan he’s going to marry one of the men’s beautiful daughters。 Matteo had that typic I’m pleasantly surprised by Matteo， our anti-hero。 I love dark mafia arranged marriages， it’s one of this irresistible tropes to me。 The anti- heroes almost always start out being these big grumpy， cold alpha holes， set on some sort of revenge and using the innocent heroine in his evil plot。 This one starts just this way。 Matteo wants revenge on the men he holds responsible for his fathers murder。 As part of his plan he’s going to marry one of the men’s beautiful daughters。 Matteo had that typical cold， anti-hero vibe。 However， as soon as he met Catherine， he subtly softened for her。 Not completely， he does have a reputation to uphold， but he was all about spoiling her and buying beautiful things and giving her a happy life。 It was truly refreshing to come across Matteo。 I found him to be one of the most likable heroes I’ve encountered with this trope。 Catherine is a little bland as a heroine but I didn’t find her annoying。 I felt like she was a really perfect match for Matteo。 She kept pushing to get him to open up to her and eventually he cracks。 Story 4/5， Heat 3/5， Darkness 2/5， Angst 2/5， dual POVMedium burn， their marriage is consummated at 40%。 Surprisingly， there is an an@l scene at 20 % so you might consider it a fast burn， if you count that （but I don’t。）No condoms， no virgins， no manwhore， no OW/OM drama， spankings and punishment， dub-con/non-con， push away from h， no separation or breakups。 No cheating， no cliffhanger and HEA。 I’d consider this a safe read。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

Interesting read。 Lots of rough sex， which they both enjoy。 Nothing questionable。 It definitely pulled you in to see what would happen。 It ends ok but there is a ton up in the air so hope there is another book to make it a series。

Couldn’t put it down！ Really held my attention。 Matteo has a real jerk but the good thing is that the author didn’t take him to far gone for you not to like him at all。 I really hate when that happens。 Lots of rough sexy times， but the pay both love it。 Hope there is another book to see what will happen within the family。
