I have never read a book in one sitting… until now。 My god， this was incredible。 I honestly went into it expecting it to be a fun sexy read， but it’s just so much more than that。 wow。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This was a YA novel。 An entertaining light read。 It was refreshing to read a fantasy book where sexual orientation was not even questioned or a topic of dicussion， and the main couple was very cute and understanding of each other， very mature also， even by the end of the book where everything was revealed and their relationship could have shattered forever。I’m giving it 3 stars for several reasons （beware of spoilers）: First， because it felt a bit rushed。 However it was a short book in general， This was a YA novel。 An entertaining light read。 It was refreshing to read a fantasy book where sexual orientation was not even questioned or a topic of dicussion， and the main couple was very cute and understanding of each other， very mature also， even by the end of the book where everything was revealed and their relationship could have shattered forever。I’m giving it 3 stars for several reasons （beware of spoilers）: First， because it felt a bit rushed。 However it was a short book in general， so I understand there was not much space for building anticipation。 Second， many things were left unexplained， like who was Marius before he was cursed， or what would have happened had a Claim not been provided for him one year， or why Marius didn’t attempt to kill himself simply by stepping outside in the sun。 Also， with the scrying bowl， Jak had mentioned he could conjure anyone he thought of， yet he always talked to his mother。 I don’t understand why he never used it to talk to Lamiere。 Third， Jak was the only one of the witches with magic， yet he only practiced the magic he was taught。 How was he taught this magic when no one else could actually do it？ Plus I can’t believe during his life he didn’t feel the need to experiment and try by his own how to read minds， heal people， make someone fall in love with you， stop a pregnancy， sober up after heavy drinking， you know， the typical things a young man could think of。 And why was it only the witch that originally placed the curse the one with that power？ Why couldn’t Jak work towards a spell or enchantment to revert the curse？。Again， this was a YA novel， so I was not really expecting it to explain to me the politics of the world， but I left with more questions than anything。 The author certainly created an interesting world， with a lot of room for exploring， and I hope the next books do that。 。。。more

Well written fast paced adventure！I would recommend this book to any one who loves a fast paced thriller MLM romance。 I could not put this down。 NO spoilers but it does have a delicious happy ending。 Well worth the wait。 I chose 4 because I wanted to keep reading more of their story after the *****。 I look forward to reading your next novel！

This was a great story and i throughly enjoyed myself。 the characters were complex an interesting。 the backstory of of the curse was unexpected and i loved the final battle scene。 i love the call backs to other versions and the version of the curse。

I was so thankful to get an advanced copy of this book。 This was the gay fairytale retelling of beauty and the beast that I didn't know I needed。 I finished it in one sitting and absolutely loved every second of it。 The premise is about the beast of a man who terrorizes a village from his prison of a castle。 The witches lost their power to keep him contained and the prophet says one （the beauty） will end the beast and get the witches their power back。 but of course， there is always more than one I was so thankful to get an advanced copy of this book。 This was the gay fairytale retelling of beauty and the beast that I didn't know I needed。 I finished it in one sitting and absolutely loved every second of it。 The premise is about the beast of a man who terrorizes a village from his prison of a castle。 The witches lost their power to keep him contained and the prophet says one （the beauty） will end the beast and get the witches their power back。 but of course， there is always more than one side to each story and the truth can change everything。 It was a wonderful change to the classic tale and of course， the gayness slaps。 It was spicy but tastefully done。 Definitely a step up from the spice level from his previous books and it was perfect。 Can't recommend this book enough。 Go grab it when it's released。 。。。more
