Good I liked the ending of this book and enjoy most of it。 I found I wanted more of Mei with her dragon as a couple - 5000 years is a long time to be apart。 This felt like too much running around putting out fires not enough relationships for me， especially as a final book。

Nice satisfying conclusion to a trilogy Finished the book as soon as I got off work and I am happy that I had it pre-ordered because I had enjoyed the first two so much。I think that the author really nailed what I want out of a reading experience from this trilogy。 It had humor， intelligence and romance。 We got to see our main character grow and we also got see other characters from a different perspective because of the time travel which was really neat。 It has been a while since I read the fir Nice satisfying conclusion to a trilogy Finished the book as soon as I got off work and I am happy that I had it pre-ordered because I had enjoyed the first two so much。I think that the author really nailed what I want out of a reading experience from this trilogy。 It had humor， intelligence and romance。 We got to see our main character grow and we also got see other characters from a different perspective because of the time travel which was really neat。 It has been a while since I read the first two and I might be wrong but it felt that amidst the dangers they had to battle in this one there was room for humour more so than in the other ones。 The relationship between Mei Li and Shunlei was wholesome and me being the emotional reader had to hold back tears when she got thrown back to her own time and their reunion。 As another series by the same author the main character is not the strongest mage but rather someone with a keen intellect and a superb memory。 Unlike other series where the main character gets more powerful by gaining skills throughout making them kinda ridiculous Mei Li remains the same in a way。 She gains confidence and knowledge as well friends and allies。 I enjoy that she works with others rather than being a lone brooding character determined to do everything by themselves thus causing more trouble （Am I alone in being frustrated by this trope？）I know there are others like me that will wonder if the series end with a happy ending and I can happily report that they do get their happy ending after 5000 years of waiting。Definitely a series I will be re-reading。 I hope that the author has more books like this on the way。 。。。more
