Given to us by the PTA。 Not surprised to read that this book is based on a poster。

A must have for all classrooms, particularly Reception and KS1。 I cannot seem to think of anyone whom wouldn’t be represented in this book - it is really well thought out and subtle。 A beautiful story written poetically, with a real emphasis on ‘all are welcome here’。 This is repeated at the end of each verse, reinforcing the need for a world where everyone is welcome。 In particular, I liked the part when children are encouraged to use individual differences to their strength - not one of us is A must have for all classrooms, particularly Reception and KS1。 I cannot seem to think of anyone whom wouldn’t be represented in this book - it is really well thought out and subtle。 A beautiful story written poetically, with a real emphasis on ‘all are welcome here’。 This is repeated at the end of each verse, reinforcing the need for a world where everyone is welcome。 In particular, I liked the part when children are encouraged to use individual differences to their strength - not one of us is the same and so how can you use that to your advantage? What could you teach someone else? This book really shows that there is nothing stopping any children from following their dreams and aiming for the clouds because ALL ARE WELCOME! 。。。more

Beautiful illustrations with lots of detail help show diversity of families, cultural backgrounds, race and ability in a way that is subtle and sweet。 The rhyming text is simple, but paired with the illustrations is charming and leaves lots of room for noticing and discussing the many varieties of people and for finding someone like you。 <3

This book follows a group of diverse children throughout their day at school。 Some kids wear patkas, hijabs, and baseball caps。 This is a book about a school setting where the children grow and learn from each other's traditions。 This book is a great diverse option to get children excited about learning about other people's cultures。 I would use this book to get children thinking about culture and how it relates to language。 This book follows a group of diverse children throughout their day at school。 Some kids wear patkas, hijabs, and baseball caps。 This is a book about a school setting where the children grow and learn from each other's traditions。 This book is a great diverse option to get children excited about learning about other people's cultures。 I would use this book to get children thinking about culture and how it relates to language。 。。。more

All Are Welcome is super cute and does a nice job of including all types of diverse characteristics in the students and families illustrated in this book。 It would be a good book to read to a child before they start school or for elementary teachers to read to their students。

Another wonderful book from Alexandra Penfold! Sweet story about how all children are welcome in the classroom regardless of what they look like, what they wear, or where they come from。 Lovely illustrations, too!

I love that this book celebrates diversity and shows just how many different types of people there are out in the world。 This is a great book to start a conversation especially if there are certain cultures not in the area you were growing up。 The title itself all are welcome automatically draws you in。 The illustrations within this book are beautiful and do a great job at representing each community

All Are Welcome, written by Alexandra Penfold and illustrated by Suzanne Kaufman, won the Notable Books for a Global Society award for its appreciation for diverse cultures。 This book uses rhyme schemes on every page that will make students very excited to read it。 There is also a lot of repetition found in the book with it saying on every other page "All are welcome here"。 This book would be great for a read-aloud on the first day of school to all of the students。 The spreads are all very color All Are Welcome, written by Alexandra Penfold and illustrated by Suzanne Kaufman, won the Notable Books for a Global Society award for its appreciation for diverse cultures。 This book uses rhyme schemes on every page that will make students very excited to read it。 There is also a lot of repetition found in the book with it saying on every other page "All are welcome here"。 This book would be great for a read-aloud on the first day of school to all of the students。 The spreads are all very colorful and well done so students will stay focused on the book。 Overall I thought this book was great and I give it 5 stars! 。。。more

Great book for beginning of school year and to have available for all children to read for a reminder as needed。 Loved the overall meaning of the story, since it does touch on no matter what you look like or enjoy in life you are who you are and you are welcome here。 Loved the details in the illustrations, touched on what everyone might look like or what they might enjoy。

This is a great story book for back to school and to kick off the school year with the right tone。 It let's the children know that school a place for them, and that they are welcome。 I love that the drawings include kids from all backgrounds, a great mirror for diverse schools and a window for less diverse schools。 This is a great story book for back to school and to kick off the school year with the right tone。 It let's the children know that school a place for them, and that they are welcome。 I love that the drawings include kids from all backgrounds, a great mirror for diverse schools and a window for less diverse schools。 。。。more

This story should be in every classroom。 This is the type of book that students would enjoy to look through because of the illustrations, but would be an amazing book to read at the beginning and end of the year! Many types of people are presented in this book making it a book where students could hopefully identify with one character in one way or another。

Thought this book was very great, I really enjoyed the pictures and meaning, hopefully I can use this in my class one day as a read aloud。
