What a outstanding book。 You have it all in this book。 Adrian is a great hero in many ways。 Valentina went through a lot and had trouble believing and trusting Adrian。 I loved the relationship not only between the hH & H but with the supporting characters like Kai， Alexi and Andrea。 All I can say is this is a must read。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。

Valentina has a father who doesn't give two figs for her， and with the man he's marrying her off too， she really needs outside help to get out of it。 The first party she's gone to， she meets Adrian， a powerful man who is viewed as a monster， but he sees something in her eyes & offers his help if she wants to call him。 It comes to a point where she has no other choice， and it's not because of what is done to her， but to her best friend （her cousin who is more like a sister）， that has her brave en Valentina has a father who doesn't give two figs for her， and with the man he's marrying her off too， she really needs outside help to get out of it。 The first party she's gone to， she meets Adrian， a powerful man who is viewed as a monster， but he sees something in her eyes & offers his help if she wants to call him。 It comes to a point where she has no other choice， and it's not because of what is done to her， but to her best friend （her cousin who is more like a sister）， that has her brave enough to sneak out to find him。 Unfortunately， that was a bad move which really backfired， but thankfully before she was dead， Adrian found & rescued her。 He wants this girl badly， and man he's nothing like I thought he would be， and there wasn't anything I didn't love about this hero whatsoever as he was amazing with her。 Things are going along with twists coming in hot as Adrian & his men doing their best to find Sal （the scumbag who she was to marry）， but once they do， something is said that could be catastrophic for Valentina。 It all leads to a cliffhanger ending that has me in a great deal of fear when the next book is released but I'm still impatiently waiting for it as I need to know。 HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND！ 。。。more

I really loved Adrian and Valentina in Vow to Protect。 Adrian is definitely the protector where Valentina is concerned。 She's in a tough spot， suffering physical abuse and beatings from her fiance with no one to help。 Her father doesn't care and she only has one way out。 Adrian is willing to help Valentina， but he wants her for himself， that's his price。Even though Adrian is someone not to be trifled with and most consider him a monster， he was very patient and gentle with Valentina since she ha I really loved Adrian and Valentina in Vow to Protect。 Adrian is definitely the protector where Valentina is concerned。 She's in a tough spot， suffering physical abuse and beatings from her fiance with no one to help。 Her father doesn't care and she only has one way out。 Adrian is willing to help Valentina， but he wants her for himself， that's his price。Even though Adrian is someone not to be trifled with and most consider him a monster， he was very patient and gentle with Valentina since she had been through so much abuse。 I really enjoyed this part of the duet。 It does end on a cliffhanger， and quite a good one， but it's worth the wait for the next book。 Well done and I look forward to the next book and seeing where these two end up in the finale。P。S。 This series has a prequel， At First Sight。I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review。 。。。more

I loved the prequel to this book and was expecting great things from this book。 I was intrigued to see what help Valentina was going to ask Adrian for and how he would go about making sure she became his。 The actual love affair is a slow burn as he has to convince her of his motives but there is no doubt that he will protect her at all costs。Val has had a torrid life so far。 Her father turned against her when her mother died and then forced her into an unwanted engagement to the hideously viciou I loved the prequel to this book and was expecting great things from this book。 I was intrigued to see what help Valentina was going to ask Adrian for and how he would go about making sure she became his。 The actual love affair is a slow burn as he has to convince her of his motives but there is no doubt that he will protect her at all costs。Val has had a torrid life so far。 Her father turned against her when her mother died and then forced her into an unwanted engagement to the hideously vicious Sal。 When she got up the courage to seek out Adrian to help her， she found a kind and handsome man， not the monster Rose said he was。 She is prepared to do anything to save Rose so she puts all her hopes and dreams into Adrian helping them。 She is caught unawares and when the situation with Sal escalates， she totally shuts down to survive。 I felt we learnt very little about Adrian， his business or his reputation of being a monster。 What we do get is an Adrian who was very caring towards what was his， and to him， Val was his right from the first moment he saw her。 He became totally obsessed with her at the party and his want and need for her has grown。 It is affecting his personality， work and his ability to control the monster that lives inside him。 He never shows Val this side of him and she starts to think he is not as ruthless as everyone makes out。 The only woman he has ever loved was his mother so he rather taken aback by the strength of his feelings for Val。 He is very possessive of her but starts to worry she will leave him once the deal is done。 She has never felt safe or trusted anyone before so it is all foreign to her when Adrian looks after her。 She is convinced it is all just to do with their deal and is worried that once he has helped her then he will not want her anymore， she doesn’t believe what he tells her。 We hear more about what she has been through and memories from her childhood are revealed。 I liked how she gained some confidence， started standing up to Adrian and managed to calm him when he got riled up。 Adrian gets worked up that he can’t fulfil his part of the deal as Sal manages to evade Adrian and his men。 It was fun to see Nicolo and Soo from the Diavolo Family Crime Duet join in the hunt。 Her father is behaving in a mysterious way， the mafia council is on his back and as the season closes， he might have to risk a war to gain his revenge。Adrian has an interesting bunch of five working of him and I loved how Andrea held her own amongst the rest of his men。 His second in command Kai is worried about Adrian and even warns Val about what he can be like。 However， by the time his control slips， she feels she was meant for him and can cope with anything he might do as he always promises he will never hurt her。 During the book I found I had many questions that needed answering and I didn’t know who you could trust at the end。 There are lots of twists and a few things that happen were surprising seeing as Adrian is head of his empire with plenty of help at his disposal。 This didn’t seem as dark as the prequel but I suspect it’s only going to get worse now things are unravelling。 I think we are going to see the real Adrian when everything explodes。Has Adrian let everything slip due to his obsession with Val？ Will she be able to cope with the other side of his personality？ What is her dad up to？ Will the Council scupper his plans？ Has he started a war with Sal’s family？ It ends in a cliffhanger which although I knew what was coming， was still full of tension and suspense。 It is still going to be interesting to see how the authors wrap up this story because there are so many loose ends which hopefully point to the next book being darker。 。。。more

A dark enthralling tale of mafia familiesA dark enthralling tale of mafia families。 We are introduced to Valentina， Sal （her fiance）， cousin Rose and Adrian and various secondary characters。 The story is gripping and Adrian and Valentina are opposites but also complicated in their relationship。 I am so looking forward to reading the next book by this duo to see what happens next。

Absolutely loved it！ Adrian & Valentina have chemistry off the charts。 This is a dark & intense book that has lots of action。 I can’t wait to see what comes in the next book。 The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that it ended with a cliffhanger。
