This is book 2 and I really recommend reading it first to get some of the background knowledge， but you don’t have to。 Lavender’s mother is missing， and she is doing everything she can to find her。 Of course， Brody has to go with her and that’s awesome。 There’s all kins of exciting things happening like time travel， witches， fairies， and bad guys， oh my！ Yes， I couldn’t resist that。 It’s a great story and I highly recommend it。

A good story overall。 Lavender and Brody are a delightful couple。 I enjoyed the time spent with Hagatha as well。 Occasionally， the style became stilted。 Also， there are a few places where I had to put the story down before continuing。 The ending is mildly mushy， but good。Easy-to-read。 Entertaining。 Haunting。 Romantic。 Scary。 Tragic。 Twisted。 Unpredictable。 Wonderful characters。I received a review copy of this book from a third party。 This is my honest review。
