Summary

In the latest thrilling collaboration from #1 New York Times bestselling author and “Queen of Suspense” Mary Higgins Clark and Alafair Burke, television producer Laurie Moran must solve the kidnapping of her fiancée’s nephew—just days before her wedding。

Television producer Laurie Moran and her fiancée, Alex Buckley, the former host of her investigative television show, are just days away from their mid-summer wedding, when things take a dark turn。 Alex’s seven-year-old nephew, Johnny, vanishes from the beach。 A search party begins and witnesses recall Johnny playing in the water and collecting shells behind the beach shack, but no one remembers seeing him after the morning。 As the sun sets, Johnny’s skim board washes up to shore, and everyone realizes that he could be anywhere, even under water。

A ticking clock, a sinister stalker, and fresh romance combine in this exhilarating follow up to the bestselling You Don’t Own Me—another riveting page-turner from the “Queen of Suspense” Mary Higgins Clark and her dazzling partner-in-crime Alafair Burke。

**4。5** stars I loved reading this book。 I went into this book blind and I’m glad I did because it made my reading experience better。 The story was easy to follow and the twist was great。 I have never read any novel from this author and I will definitely read more from her。

Really great writing, very smooth and easy to get through。 Not many moments that weren't unraveling or revealing something so it kept a very nice pace, but did not feel rushed! After 7 books they get similar and the writers quirks are apparent。 Still it's a suspenseful story。 After 7 books they get similar and the writers quirks are apparent。 Still it's a suspenseful story。 。。。more

I enjoyed this book because, as usual, Mary Higgins Clark kept me in suspense and had me going down the wrong way to solve the mystery! Easy and good read!

Another novel featuring Laurie Moran and Alex Buckley。 They are set to finally marry when Alex's seven-year-old nephew is abducted while playing on the beach。 After many twists and turns he is returned and Laurie and Alex finally tie the knot! A rather nostalgic read of Mary Higgins Clark's last book。 These books are always well written if not as hard bitten as my usual reads。 Almost like a relaxing holiday。 I'll miss her books A rather nostalgic read of Mary Higgins Clark's last book。 These books are always well written if not as hard bitten as my usual reads。 Almost like a relaxing holiday。 I'll miss her books 。。。more

Unnatural writing and a little cheesy honestly。 I read Mary Higgins Clark religiously as a teen but this is not the kind of writing I remembered。

I love these books。 A quick read and something I look forward to whenever I have a moment to spare。 Excitement abounds, masterfully told suspense story。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I do like the Laurie and Alex story。 This book involved introduced Alex family。 It was interesting to learn why Johnny was taken and that it wasn’t linked to Laurie’s show。 I’d definitely recommend this series。

This was a good finale of the Under Suspicion series。 I am sad to see this series come to an end but even towards the end Clark was a phenomenal writer!

3 1/2*。 I've read numerous books by Mary Higgins Clark。 This was really good, about a little boy abducted。 I always say "you can't go wrong with a MHC novel。" 3 1/2*。 I've read numerous books by Mary Higgins Clark。 This was really good, about a little boy abducted。 I always say "you can't go wrong with a MHC novel。" 。。。more

I’m always a sucker for MHC and since she passed away last year I think this is her last book。 I liked this series she did with Alafair Burke because it was similar to Clark’s earlier novels and kept me guessing most of the time。 I wish Goodreads did half stars… 3。5 for me。 Worth the read if you read the other books in the series

Read this book in a day as I did most of Mary Higgins Clark books。 Sadly this is her last book but her fans will not be disappointed。 It is fast, suspenseful and a total page turner。 I read most of it on The Fourth of July。 I probably would have finished it last night if I didn't watch the fireworks on tv。 Read this book in a day as I did most of Mary Higgins Clark books。 Sadly this is her last book but her fans will not be disappointed。 It is fast, suspenseful and a total page turner。 I read most of it on The Fourth of July。 I probably would have finished it last night if I didn't watch the fireworks on tv。 。。。more
