Summary

An unusual arrangement brought them together。 Their clashing personalities are likely to drive them apart。 Is it remotely possible that love could take them both by surprise?

Brandon Murphy is stuck。 He works alone every day, out in the woods, exactly as he wanted。 Trouble is, he hadn’t counted on it becoming so…mundane。 So when he receives an unusual request—to show up as the arranged fiancé of an heiress in trouble—he figures he may as well。 After all, they’ll have six months to decide whether to go through with the marriage。 It might just be the spark his life’s been missing。

And oh, are there sparks! Just not the sort he was hoping for。

Megan Alexander is livid。 Not only has her father driven away the fiancé of her choosing, but her mother has written to a complete stranger, asking him to come and fill that now-vacant role。 What modern woman would consider such an arrangement? Determined not to comply with the insane deal, Megan comes up with a plan of her own: drive the crazy man who agreed to such an idea away—preferably at a run。

From their first disastrous meeting, both Brandon and Megan are certain they will never get married。 Ever。 But Megan’s plans for her future rely on Daddy’s goodwill, so she needs to see the six months through。 And Brandon gave his promise on that time frame; he’ll be a man of his word—even if it kills him。

Six months and they can walk away。 Because there’s no way they’d ever consider the alternative…is there?

Who You are is book 6 in the Murphy Brothers Stories; Christian novels full of romance and redemption。 Don't miss this family of seven brothers as they navigate through life, faith, and love。

A deeply moving story! It is next to impossible for me to pass up a Jennifer Rodewald story! Brandon and Megan had their own ideas about who they were and their own plans for the future。 However, God's plans were the complete opposite for each of them。 Just like Jennifer Rodewald's other stories, you feel all different kinds of emotions while learning profound Biblical truths。 Her books keep getting better and better! I really enjoyed reading Who You Are。 There was a lot of depth to the characters in this novel, something I definitely have come to expect when reading books by this author。 It is something I really love about her books。Megan and Brandon as had what could possibly be one of the most painful to read about first meetings possible。 Megan did her absolute best to belittle Brandon, hoping he would give up on being a part of her parents’ arrangement for her。 Brandon left knowing he had met an absolute I really enjoyed reading Who You Are。 There was a lot of depth to the characters in this novel, something I definitely have come to expect when reading books by this author。 It is something I really love about her books。Megan and Brandon as had what could possibly be one of the most painful to read about first meetings possible。 Megan did her absolute best to belittle Brandon, hoping he would give up on being a part of her parents’ arrangement for her。 Brandon left knowing he had met an absolutely spoiled brat, who he began to think of as “Monster Megan”! So these two had quite the uphill struggle to overcome。Yet, as I read, I realized that Megan was so much more than she thought she was。 She simply had her priorities misplaced。 And Brandon was going through his own identity crisis。 He struggled with wondering if he was too harsh or held people to standards that were unreachable。 He also did not know what direction God wanted him to go in life。 The title fits the novel very well, as both Megan and Brandon struggled to know who they really were and what direction their lives were supposed to take。The romance that did eventually bloom between these two was very well written。 It felt natural and so very precious to read about。 I have enjoyed every single one of the books in this series, and look forward to reading the final book when it is available。 And in case you were wondering, you could easily pick up this book and read it as a standalone novel if you have not read the other books in the series。(4。5 stars)I received a complimentary copy of this book。 All opinions are my own。You can read this review on my blog:https://brittreadsfiction。wordpress。c。。。 。。。more

Another great story by Jen。 Who doesn't struggle with wanting our heroes to be perfect。 This is a hard lesson for all of us and Jen using the character of Brandon to show us just how difficult it can be。 Love her stories because the characters are real and never perfect。 They are all searching to be better but the path is never easy for any of us。 Another great story by Jen。 Who doesn't struggle with wanting our heroes to be perfect。 This is a hard lesson for all of us and Jen using the character of Brandon to show us just how difficult it can be。 Love her stories because the characters are real and never perfect。 They are all searching to be better but the path is never easy for any of us。 。。。more

“Trust in the Lord and do good。”I loved this latest story featuring the Murphy brothers。 This time was Brandon's turn in the spotlight。 After the little tease in the previous book, I was so curious about how his story would unfold。 And let me tell ya', it did not disappoint。 It was so interesting to see him in an environment he wasn't completely comfortable in and to watch how he dealt with everything。 He was presented with a unique opportunity and even though it sounded a little bizarre, he fel “Trust in the Lord and do good。”I loved this latest story featuring the Murphy brothers。 This time was Brandon's turn in the spotlight。 After the little tease in the previous book, I was so curious about how his story would unfold。 And let me tell ya', it did not disappoint。 It was so interesting to see him in an environment he wasn't completely comfortable in and to watch how he dealt with everything。 He was presented with a unique opportunity and even though it sounded a little bizarre, he felt God calling him to pursue it。 It was so inspiring to see him put his wholehearted trust in the Lord。I didn't know what to think of Megan to begin with。 She seemed snobbish and a bit like a spoiled brat。 But as I got to know her better, I really came to like her。 There was a lot of hidden depth to her。 She was just really good at hiding it。To say Brandon and Meg didn't like each other in the beginning is a massive understatement。 Man, that was rough! I don't know if they could've disliked each other more if they tried! There were fireworks, for sure! Though, it was fun watching them discover that there was more to each other than first met the eye。 Just goes to show, don't judge a book by its cover。As I've come to expect from author Jennifer Rodewald, there was a strong spiritual message here。 One that really resonated with me。 How does she do that every single time? It's always exactly what I need to hear。If you're a fan of contemporary romance, this series is a must-read! I can't recommend it highly enough!I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it。 All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion。 。。。more

Who You Are by Jennifer Rodewald is a powerful contemporary Christian novel that focuses on our life choices and the results。 It is the sixth book in the Murphy Brothers series but can be read as a stand-alone。“Life is a series of choices, and those choices become our legacy。” We always need to choose wisely because there are always consequences to our choices。 Our choices reflect who we are。The novel has the theme of wealth。 When we love money and power, no good can ever come of it。“Make me pre Who You Are by Jennifer Rodewald is a powerful contemporary Christian novel that focuses on our life choices and the results。 It is the sixth book in the Murphy Brothers series but can be read as a stand-alone。“Life is a series of choices, and those choices become our legacy。” We always need to choose wisely because there are always consequences to our choices。 Our choices reflect who we are。The novel has the theme of wealth。 When we love money and power, no good can ever come of it。“Make me pretty and popular。 So I can be happy。” Happiness does not come from external circumstances。 Happiness is internal, being satisfied with who we are in God。Church is important。 We cannot do life alone。 We need to surround ourselves with other believers。 “After three weeks without attending church, [he] knew he needed spiritual nourishment。” When we miss church, we drain our spiritual battery。 We need to keep ourselves topped up by going to church。The Murphy family look for blessings every day。 “Practiced… the habit of looking for tokens of God’s love in everyday moments。” This is a beautiful picture。We witness the tough love of a father。 Discipline is for our own good。 Likewise God disciplines each and every one of us because he loves us。The characters were well drawn, realistic and likable。 I loved catching up with the Murphy family。Who You Are was a fabulous read that I loved。I received a free copy from the author。 A favourable review was not required。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

Megan resents the whole thing, particularly her dad's refusal to let her marry Marcus, and only agreed because he promised to let her marry whoever she likes after the six months。 Hence, she behaves like a rude brat and makes it clear that she considers his motives purely mercenary。 Occasionally, though, Brandon gets a hint of something more underneath。 Is there any chance that this farce of an engagement could ever become real? With an intriguing premise masterfully worked out, this story brings together a spoilt rich girl who's annoyed at being thwarted and a down-to-earth woodsman who's feeling lost - and makes them each better by being with the other, not least because they each learn more about themselves。 Megan has an awful lot of maturing to do - and it's delightful to watch her do it。 It's also great to watch Brandon working through the issues that surfaced in book 5 and getting his life back on track。 Finally, it was interesting to see a bit more of Braydon; he's been very much in the background in previous books in the series, I guess because he's younger, so it's nice to see him starting to become more of a character, and I look forward to hearing his story - though it sounds like things are going to be tough! Note that books in this series can be enjoyed individually but may be best read in order for Murphy family background。 All in all, highly recommended。Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more

Brandon and Megan’s story will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next。 When Brandon received the note from his mother requesting him to help Megan he feels God leading him there。 In this book you will read about gold diggers, spoiled brats and snobby people。 I had the honor to review this book for the author for a honest review。 I would give this book a higher rating than a five star review if I could。

Another awesome and fun read by Jennifer Rodewald。 I have enjoyed this series immensely。 This book featured Brandon the serious brother and a rich gal, Meg who seems to be uppity and spoiled。 Or is she? Ms。 Rodewald always write great characters。 The Murphy boys, though!Brandon meets his match in this arrangement。 Sparks fly when they officially meet。。。 but not the good kind。But, their forced proximity causes them to see each other when they let their guards down。 What do you know? Each sees the softer, tender, truer side of the other。 And sparks fly。。。 but they still have to work for their HEA。
