Hurt people hurt people.

Say there was a novel in which Holden Caulfield was an alcoholic and Lolita was a photographer’s assistant and, somehow, they met in Bright Lights, Big City. He’s blinded by love. She by ambition. Diary of an Oxygen Thief is an honest, hilarious, and heartrending novel, but above all, a very realistic account of what we do to each other and what we allow to have done to us.

this book is so good. its dark in parts but thats what makes it so good. the middle is kind of dragged out but good example of karma. some of my favorite quotes are from this book. wonderfully written.

The book started off well and fell off from the middle until the end. I was a bit disappointed in how much detail the author put in in the beginning only to rush things towards the end. Ending was disappointing and in my opinion...ruined the book.

I randomly discovered this book after someone posted its opening paragraph on a message board for a Narcissistic Abuse Recovery support group. It resonated with me deeply, and I had to keep reading. If you're dealing with any sort of manipulation or emotional abuse in your relationship, this book might help at least make you feel less alone with your experience.

Not worth the money. First chapter was good but very slow and boring after that. Not as great as it was hyped up to be. Don't waste your time or money

I generally read much longer books and needed a break with something lighter. I am halfway through and love it. Well written, and a very unique read.

Interesting story. A little dark and twisted but I think this is a story most people in their twenties can relate to in some way.

I should have stopped reading half way through. I had no connection with this writer. Do not waste your time.

Self-indulgent drivel.
